Am just curious, anyone can explain the appearance of so many butterflies at the point when YD lost all her memories?
apparently those are dream butterflies which have been banned from the heavenly realm because a cocoon can only hatch to be a butterfly if said deity/immortal is in love. this drama depicts that all immortals of the heavenly realm cannot fall in love. those butterflies mean that yandan is very much in love with ying yuan.
I have not had a good night sleep in a week. Been watching this before bed and my thoughts are too chaotic. Anyway,…
I very much believe it was YD in the heavenly arc but YY in the mortal arc, when YY is being sent for trials? (my assumption) he did imprint his memories of YD in his celestial spirit during his punishment so although reborn i think he remembers YD and wants a chance to make it up to her by falling in love all over again.

Okay but there's a lot of filler the last few episodes, part of me is like, this did not need to be close to 80…
i agree to a certain extent. the more episodes the more money the production makes. that is why chinese dramas have a limit now (no more than 40 episodes) thus this drama has been cut into part 1 (40 episodes) and part 2 (18 episodes). unlike previous drama - legend of dragon pearl it had something like 90 over episodes or rise of the phoenixes which had 80 over episodes.
i also detest filler episodes which drag on and on but if the storyline ties in i just hope i won't be wasting my time and will usually skip on the rewatch.
The evil lamp’s voice sounds like Su Jin’s voice from TMOPB. Selfish lamp thought she had a chance with YY…
funny you mentioned that, i thought in certain parts of the series so far that YY voice sound so much like donghua dijun also from TMOPB. luckily YD is not a fox or i would have thrown my hat in.
IF there is a scene (in this series) where the male lead carries the female lead on his back through a grove/forest I will laugh myself silly as that is pretty typical too.
the similarities of the stage thingy is like its being recycled from one drama to another. it is wasteful just to destroy such a beautiful set after only just 1 series. :-)
just what I noticed till episode 15 of Immortal Samsara, the scenes / acting including overall presentation is like part Eternal Love part Love & Destiny. I now know who is the comedian from the 'dream team'.
If able to rewatch Love & Destiny peach forest scene (le bo & Jiu Chen) the circular stage thingy under the blossom tree is too similar to the secret place (also forest) that YY stay while in recluse trying to cure his poison heart (circular stage next to lotus pond under a blossom tree too).
you forgot demon king is wu zhi qi in love and redemption and his lover there (fox spirit) would be his lover…
I assume (my opinion only) that because cheng yi is from the one agency his 'friends' get to audition as well. Yangzi has her own company so that is why her ashes of love actors are in immortal samsara too. as for the minor actors I really had to concentrate to recognize them because different production does makeup & hair differently. I kept wondering where I saw the other lotus sister before (the lady who played lan in female entered the imperial college). :-)
I feel the same way! Really high quality production.
I get it. I for one stand by what I think is a bad, good or great series on overall presentation - story, actors, sets, costumes etc. I do not enjoy it when most (not all) people start fangirling over the main leads whom can't save a series with their looks alone.
am also a fan of the fact that some of the minor roles are actors I have not seen in some time : 1. the fox uncle from ashes of love 2. lo hou je tu from love and redemption 3. the heavenly emperor in ashes of love also xuanji father in love and redemption 4. le bo the heavenly doctor from love and destiny
its nice that they bring back these few actors because I did not notice them after their roles in the hits series that was basically aired in 2016 (ashes of love), 2019 (love and destiny) and love and redemption (2020).

usually that means with the director/producer reputation the production team was able to secure a bigger budget to film the series. the female director of 'Eternal Love' commands such splendor thus why novoland pearl eclipse (which she directed) was such a sight to behold in forms of sets & costumes I did not like the storyline but everything else was high quality.
too early to comment on the storyline but I need to say that I am very satisfied with the presentation/sets/costumes (exquisite) /make up so far for Immortal Samsara. every single detail was taken into consideration as this production team was part of the 'dream team' who produced 'Eternal Love' and did the spin off 'Love and Destiny'. unlike others who sort of fell from grace.
not really. thats the ideal king. one who thinks only and only of his kingdom. his king only cares about himself.…
everyone has their opinions which is appreciated.
all the kings are different kinds of selfish but know and understand that the most strongest/cruel & evil almost despicable will always win and rule with a firm but often vicious hand. whether or not the lord of yongzhou is on the queen and feng ju's side is left to be seen this also includes if the queen and feng ju might just kill off the lord to succeed the throne. I personally would like to see this play out in the drama.
i know in the novel it's HC who rules the world and the leads travel at the ending, but there wil be other king…
just have to watch it entirely. Have not read the novel but from what I have heard the start of this series has not followed the novel in its entirety. reference is taken with regards to Bai Fengxi and Yan Yingzhou in episode 1.

forgot -
Lady Qin (lan) who was in a female enters the imperial college
