That scene when his side piece tells him how his wife didn't pass the interview and he celebrates out of happiness and relief at her rejection, while it's meant to be a funny scene, I started tearing up like how could someone be so vile and heartless towards their own spouse??? I know they didn't start out their relationship in the best way but was there really no love or affection between them from all these years of building a family together??? Even as I write this my heart hurts for her and other people who are in relationships like this
This show is so healing, I adore shows that centralise the idea of food bringing people together, another BL that did this concept really well and had a lot of heart is What Did You Eat Yesterday
Wait omg that was actually intense (especially episode 6) we basically got 99% of the content shown in the trailer including the opening scene in episode 1 showing Jihyun drowning (not dying). But like what kind of sick motherf*cker would add that after we got to see jaewon and jihyun uhhh 'consummating' their relationship (which came out of nowhere might I add) like I was all giggly and shit and then suddenly i'm bawling my eyes out, what a rollercoaster of an episode!
Also, I've been seeing theories floating around about the weird progression of their relationship and people saying it might not even be really happening and instead is just one of the MLs' imagination. And honestly, I'm starting to understand why. Like the cinematography in the different scenes is so different. For example, when jihyun is with ae ri before joining his seniors for drinks, the scenes look very harsh and clear (indicating that it's reality - I'm not versed in cinematography but this is how I would best describe it). Whereas, the scenes which started with jaewon picking jihyun up to go to the beach are shown as kind of dream-like and very soft almost like it's not even really happening in real-life, and instead is a fantasy. I really hope I'm wrong about this T_T
Just two more weeks of episodes left, and other than the questionable missing pieces of plot, I'm obssessed with this drama and its portrayal of mental health and queer relationships, I love how it doesn't shy away from uncomfortable topics and canonically shows a person with severe depression who is getting professional help and medical treatment for it!
The way I went from binging part 1 of duty after school to straight away watching ep 3 of the eighth sense... my heart is beating like crazy but for different reasons lmao
Yo, the rating is climbing as the week goes on from an 8.0 to an 8.1 and now an 8.3. Usually ratings go down,…
I feel like people on MDL are just so unnecessarily selfish about their ratings itās like a glorified letterboxd to be honest because the amount of shows/movies that imo deserved a higher rating on here is immense. Like what kind of criteria are we actually basing these ratings on?? Like the eighth sense deserves at least a 9!
I don't think the people complaining about the people disliking the cheating trope in this show realise that it;s not just pure 'I hate cheaters blah blah blah' that's annoying the majority but in this context, it feels like it's somehow taking all the worst stereotypes about bisexual polyamorous people and putting them in a drama. Like yes of course everyone has flaws, and there's always reasons behind why people cheat, but in this case shuhei makes it clear that he's bisexual and that he can be with mutliple people at the same time, but also says that he's not a cheater??? I'm confused by that because while he's preaching all that, he's still actively participating in an affair with a married man??? I'd love if someone can tackle this with me and hopefully articulate it better than I did because it's doing my head in lmao
i dont believe jihyun was jaewon's gay awakening because the ex-girlfriend is suspiciously adamant on keeping…
I found it weird how annoyed she was by jihyun interacting with jaewon, like everyone else around them didn't question it and saw their interactions as a senior helping his junior adjust to uni life but she saw beyond that so I think you're right in the regard that jaewon must've had his awakening prior to meeting jihyun. Jihyun also seems comfortable with the idea of being with another man since he became aware of his feelings quite quickly and acted on them instantly by basically stalking jaewon and putting himself in jaewon's eyesight. I'm also getting some vibes from jihyun's roommate, I feel like there's history there but maybe I'm just being delusional lmao
I feel like a broken record saying this but I'm so impressed at the quality of this drama I feel like it's out of the league of other 'BLs' like it shouldn't even be called a BL at this point. It's more like a queer coming of age story, and while the campus love trope's been done before this one feels original and heartwarming, it's a lot like blueming and itsay in that regard actually. The tension between them is completely wild especially since there's only 2 episodes out so far. I just hope it doesn't follow the path of it's predecessors of starting out very strong and eventually fizzling out towards the end. If done right all the way through, this could easily become one of the best shows in terms of gay media.
The pilot looks good but the other shows the actors were in and the fact this came from the channel with i am…
What the duck honestly felt like a fever dream it reminds me of dark blue and moonlight because they're both basically soft porn with 0 plot lmao I'm so mad I'll never get back the time I spent watching them
Shuhei confessed to Misaki first, and never stopped liking her. Yuki also loves his wife, just not in the conventional…
Youāre wiser than me haha although Iām not a fan of dramas with cheating tropes and/or closeted partners this one has me hooked and no matter how many times I say Iām dropping it I keep tuning in each time a new ep is released. š

Iām not talking about their relationship from a sexual point of view though. And youāre right, people in poly relationships usually have their own understanding of their role and whatnot, but I feel like in this case they started out on the wrong foot and they way she found out about them is unfair to her because Yuki did cheat on her, thereās no way to dress that up. So while she is doing something selfless because she loves him, I do feel like itāll come back and bite her in the butt because she might realise that loving him isnāt enough to keep their relationship the way it is. I do hope Iām wrong and that it somehow works out between them but relationships that start out with a cheating partner rarely do.
wait I'm so confused is she actually letting her husband's lover live with them for her husband's convenience???…
and I know he also confessed to her that he likes her as well while living with them but how am I supposed to believe that he's being genuine when he knew yuki was married and still asked him to date him I'm so conflicted T_T
