All the rubber in the world couldn't survive the stretch they tried to do to make that manufactured drama even remotely believable.
Has Ashi ever told you he loves you....
yup, a couple of scenes prior (okay he said I love you most in the world....same freaking thing)
An actor use their real life experience to make their acting roles better...HOW DARE HE!!!! Like serious who in the hell wouldn't expect an actor to use their real life experience to better their acting...the stretch to make that seem like it means everything with Pun was just acting.....just no.
This could have been done in 6 episodes, should have been done by 8 episodes, and now it's just turning to goo in the blender that is trying to last until 12.
Ja seriously please go back to doing your "A Little Tree" company and now that you're not under contract take the time to find actual quality roles. He's actually a good actor but damn the shovelware dumpster fire material he gets given.
EDIT: I just checked the end credits of the latest episode and while google lens had issues with the spelling (common, but it always gets it close) it is the same director.
Absolutely ridiculous, over the top, top tier levels of fuckery...and I wouldn't change a thing about it.
There was enough to show the potential of Bank X Earth as a working couple in future projects
I really like this approach that they are doing that's somewhere between a workshop and actually filming a series. It gives them more of a chance to see who works well together, who doesn't, but also makes the viewers feel like they are getting more than just workshop BTS videos. I really wish other production companies would follow this example because it would give them more of a chance to see who's ready, who needs more development time, and who ultimately doesn't work well together.
That's the problem....they don't care and the comments they do see are all on youtube and filled with nothing…
The only competition they had this week was that two ep. anthology project "My Universe" with "Marry Go Round" finishing this week and let's be honest....Bank X Earth crushed their rookie pairing compared to what Joong X Dunk have done with this series. lol
Yeah this director is VERY VERY hit or miss with his series. "I Feel You Linger In The Air" has actually been pretty good so far, "Something In My Room" was pretty good as well and so were some of the others but this is just like there's no passion, creativity, etc. in it...that it was just a paycheck.
Not only does this series suffer from a fatal case of S.C.S. (Second Couple Syndrome), but hell even the what 3-5 minute Wave X Trin storyline was more engaging than anything they've done with Joke x Zo and it was a completely unnecessary filler to pad out the runtime.
Aou and Boom definitely got done dirty in this series, everything about their scenes and storyline are so much better than anything we're getting from the main couple, and it's obvious that it became apparent to production that they were stealing the show. They have so little screen time per episode, but just enough to get people wanting to come back for more.
Watching this series is exhausting because there's no energy to it, Joke is always monotone and walking on eggshells with Zo and Zo has the energy of a doormat while giving absolutely nothing in return to Joke. There's so many scenes where it really seems like Joong is frustrated with the way they are done, like he's seriously trying to hold back from busting out screaming "WTF are we doing, Joke would be ripping this MFers head off for treating his Zo like that!!" or "Zo pull your head out of your ass, stop letting other people effect you so much!!" type of things.
I can see Joong getting burned out if they don't start giving him some decent roles with some actual character development in it. Hell who knows, Neo finally got his chance to shine with "Only Friends" so hopefully Joong will get a chance like that as well.
There's so much more they could have done with this series and I was hoping they were going to so that's why I've stayed around...but yeah, maybe the next one.
Is the GMMTV team even getting the feedback just how bad is hidden agenda? direction, storytelling, script, acting…
That's the problem....they don't care and the comments they do see are all on youtube and filled with nothing but praise.
A couple of Joong shirtless scenes, him singing, and looking at Dunk with his puppy dog eyes is all it takes for the hordes of women to get wet in their nether regions and buy out all the merch. It's the same thing with Force X Book and as long as the merch keeps selling out, quality be damned. Then of course because of all of that the views of the series are more than enough to please the sponsors and get their ROI, so there's no pressure coming from them on quality.
what was the hidden agenda? i stopped watching at ep 3 cuz it went downhill (u can put it in spoilers)
That Joke didn't tell Zo that he had a crush on him, but originally decided it was enough just to get to be near him so that's why he helped Zo with Nita, but then Joke started falling deeper for Zo.
and then of course Zo lost his shit when he found out one of his friends was helping Joke get closer to him.....you know exactly like Zo asked Joke to help him with Nita.
It's a Rom-Com that forgot the romance and the comedy and instead tried to make up for it with a cgi tiger that looks like it came out of a low budget 80's film.
So if Yi is 7 years older than Khondiao that means he was 14 when the accident happened and they said in ep 2 that he's 32 now, so in 18 years Diao has never pieced together anything that happened and Yi has never thought to just clear it all up and move on!?
This series is REALLY asking you to turn off your brain, all subsystems, and fly off to wtf land with it.
I'm not sure even Max and his sexy can save this one, but who knows it might turn around....but probably not.
I can't believe I'm about to say something good about "Check Out" but at least that series had Chahub and Boat sexiness to soften the pain of the flames that was that dumpster fire.
After all the controversy over that series and the director even suggesting they might have to use onlyfans to be able to upload the uncut version, it's like they wanted to make sure this series was so squeaky clean that there wouldn't be a repeat of any controversy.
The problem with that is that it leaves all the flaws with the execution of this series out to bare. If you have actors that really gel well together then you can tell them okay this is were the dialogue starts, where it ends, and any specific points you need hit and then let them improvise the rest and get an amazing result. Unfortunately that's not what we're getting with many of these scenes that seem obviously improvised.
Okay I get it, Vee confessed to Sky right after they kissed and Sky released (at the time) from that kiss that he didn't feel the same as Vee. Did Sky do this whole....I need time to think about it, blah blah blah thing that would have made it all worse....nope he we upfront and honest about it. Sure it stung, but come on, three years later and Vee is acting like Sky did something as bad as cheating on him, etc. Seriously who the hell just figured out that someone has worked 36 hours straight and still wants to make time to do something with them, so they put them to work doing their chores...like fukwhat!?
What is cutting each others nails the new drying each others hair now!? Just no, there's nothing cute, sexy, etc. about that and just comes off as weird.
Apparently that poofy haired shop clerk dude is the new Boat for this series, his only purpose is to serve as comedic relief...and bad comedy at that. At least Boat was sexy af and thanks to his school project bl movie we learned he can actually act.
The only thing we haven't gotten from this series yet is the writer/director blaming it on their dog eating the only copy of the script.
Sooooo.....
see you all next week to see if this dumpster fire turns into a scorched earth or if they somehow manage to pull it back from the flames?? lol
what, yall wrong about Force and Book, their acting was convincing enough for me. It's more about their characters,…
Mew should have been the sweet innocent oblivious to every bit of chaos going on with his friends group aka the one that was secretly manipulating everyone in the group either just because he's nuts and loves chaos or because of some grand revenge plot for things he thinks they all done wrong to him. Instead what we've gotten so far is a "hey come on guys let's all get along", slightly playing hard to get snore fest.
I have to agree. I see no chemistry between Force and Book. From what they showed of Mew's first time, it must…
Yeah Book has that semi-defined soft pillowie just want to cuddle into ever part of him body type that can be damnned sexy and seductive....but nope, it's all about Force's abs.
What they really need to do is take Book and lock him in a dorm with Ohm and Perth for a few weeks / months because those two can so perfectly switch between cute, sexy, evil, and any combo of those and that's something Book (and Force for that matter) really need to work on itself of the copy/paste characters they've been doing.
It really makes you wonder if Force X book being cast in this was some requirement from the higher ups at GMM.
Many Many characters before: self-sacrificing glutton for punishment
Yang: Hold my beer
Phumjai: What the hell did Yang slip in those coconut pancakes....
lol
It only took 4 episodes to remember that Tag is Tag and not really Munchkin. Tag and Phojai are just ridiculously cute together.
I still have to keep constantly reminding myself that Phumjai is Offroad, he went from playing such a sexy af character to such a goofy one that my brain doesn't want to compute it.
I watched Rak Diao, but honestly I don't remember Daou in it, so this is pretty much my first time seeing him in anything. He has definitely mastered the whole telling a whole gambit of emotions and a whole story just through his eyes and/or facial expressions. One look from him and he could turn a puddle of goo into a bigger puddle of goo for him. lol
If Phojai doesn't let up on keeping Phumjai on such a short leash he's going to end up getting bit by a rabid Yang, cause he found a new squeaky toy and boy does he want to squeak it. lol
I have to agree. I see no chemistry between Force and Book. From what they showed of Mew's first time, it must…
They focus everything on Force's looks to be enough to get them through. Book really does have this nerdy sexiness and a nice body, but they give him all of the same character traits. The same thing happened with Saint Suppapong Udomkaewkanjana and then he finally got a role where he had to be the sexy one and he was awkward af in the first couple of scenes, but then got his footing and was sexy af in a dorky nerdy unconventional type of way.
GMM just put Force X Book out as mains way before they were developed enough to be so and they've been suffering for it since. The only question is will they eventually decide to develop themselves into better actors or will they get this "well we're selling merch and pulling in fans so obviously everything is alright" mentality.
what, yall wrong about Force and Book, their acting was convincing enough for me. It's more about their characters,…
Mew and Top should have been the ultimate cat and mouse, never being able to guess which one was the cat and which one was the mouse at any given point. Hell even Boston and Nick are filling that role better. Force and Book just either aren't ready / aren't capable enough to pull off that type of dynamic. They fall into the same grove with all of their characters and there's no grow, in the characters they play or in their acting ability. Honestly they could both do with being relegated to being side characters and being mixed up with other temporary partners for awhile to gain more experience and/or find a better pairing...but of course they sell merch so GMM won't do that.
Because GMM / The casting directors until now have been f'ing idiots to not see his potential for more serious / main roles. lol
GMM and the majority of the Thai BL industry is like the you companies in the 80's, they created whole cartoons just to sell toys. The only difference is GMM is creating whole series to sell merch for the toys they've created, in this case the toys are the working couples. Instead of giving Neo the Boston treatment and slutting him around with other actors to see who he fits with they just put him as the side character until someone finally said hey let's try this.
They've pretty much done the same thing with Drake since he and Frank had to break as a working couple.
The more episodes we get into this series the more it becomes painfully obvious that someone made a huge mistake casting Force x Book in this because their acting is like middle school drama production compared to what the others are bringing to it.
Honestly I thought Neo and Mark would be the two struggling most with relating / portraying the characters, but those two have easily been the biggest surprise of the series. Hopefully now they'll stop getting typecast as the dorky / goofy side kick friend.
First X Khaotung have always nailed the banter/bickering/flirting vibe so well, but damn have they leveled it up in this series.
Hopefully Drake comes back in to cause some chaos and takes some of the focus away from Mew / Top.
Sand's mom had those two pegged right away, I wouldn't be surprised if she had a betting pool going on which was was whipped for the other one first. lol
My biggest complaint with this series besides the whole Force X Book thing is that they are greatly underutilizing Jennie. She was only in the episode for a split second and yet again proved she's all the comedy / badassery that we need to break up all the Boston X Nick and Sand X Ray drama.
We've seen so many series struggle to even do two couples in 12 episodes, and not only did this do 3 couples in 8 episodes, but every couple not only had equal time, but also equal development to their own stories without any of it feeling rushed.
I love how episode 8 brought all three couples together and really was a celebration of their journeys to get to that point, not to mention a whole lot of funny and cuteness as well. If there's a "Love Class 3", the cast of that season is going to have some pretty big shoes to fill after how good the cast was this season.
All the rubber in the world couldn't survive the stretch they tried to do to make that manufactured drama even remotely believable.
