Yang gets a threatening phone call so tries to push Phumjai away to protect him and Phumjai just straight up calls flag on the play, and drop kicks him in the head.!! lol

Normally I'm not a huge fan of the whole working couples together for multiple series, but please please please please let Offroad and Daou have many more series together. I mean credit due to the production for a well written and produced series but with the chemistry and way that they play off of each other Offroad and Daou could even take the worst material and make something amazing with it.

Ohm and Ngern has really good chemistry together as well, but I just don't understand where they're going with their storyline. Maybe I missed it, but why does it matter so much if people find out that they're dating that Phojai is willing to constantly hurt Tag over it?

I feel like this ep should have went so much differently. After Fifth brought Kevin to Zeke i feel like Zeke shoulda…
I'm not even sure that Fifth is jealous per say, I think it's more like Zeke is the best thing that's happened to him and he's so in love with him that he's just afraid to lose him.

In that scene with Zeke, Fifth, and Kevin, Fifth looked like he was so scared / worried that he was going to cry.

At least I hope that's the way it gets done on Fifth end of it because if it is then Hiro Shimoji played that scene perfectly and it would be such a waste to have it be a typical jealousy trope.

imho TopMew slayed, especially in this episode, and incessant hate of them feels like nothing but a circlejerk…
They've had enough roles together now that it goes beyond just poorly written material or poor editing for them, they simply needed more time developing in support roles, etc.

they get the same-ish cookie cutter character dynamic every time their together and the fallback to cover their shortcomings in not having enough time to develop as actors is to show off Force's body as much as possible.

It simply comes down to GMM wanting to put them in the meat grinder and milk them at the same time to get the most out of them as they can in the shortest amount of time. It's about merch and fanbase and not developing them into talented long term quality actors. That's not on Force and Book at all, it's just the meat grinder part of the industry they're being put in to.

I think that's becoming a big part on why so many of the actors the past few years aren't renewing their contracts and instead are starting their own entertainment companies aka representing themselves. That way they have more control over the roles and quality of material that they are accepting.

As much fun as a circle jerk sounds...nope it's just about the poor choices in the writing. Book keeps getting the same character traits in every series, mostly the same for Force as well not to mention they spend way too much attention on Force's body to distract from the combination of poor material and not quite ready for lead roles. Book actually got to give us a taste (FINALLY) of his potential towards the end of the episode but then they were like nope....we've got to keep him as the cute, sweet one no matter what happens. Like I said, they need to let him loose. There is no hate, just annoyance at seeing them keep good/potentially good actors on a very short leash.

WAIT WAIT HOL UP HOL UP. i thought they left chukchuk in last season. i'm tired of chukchu and Jelai lame storyline..…
Win and Sky aren't in this season yet they were mentioned, Jam is abroad but constantly talked about because Jelai is getting tons of screen time, and of course even though Ms. Becky is on her Honeymoon Kim still had a phone conversation with her. Chukchuk (and in today's episode the whole Chuk Family) are still a main part of it because of course they think anyone gives a f about Kim and whatever one of the guys she's going to end up with...one of which being the new vet that takes care of ChukChuk.

At the rate they're going even if someone did make a Fifth X Zeke edit it would probably fit in a tiktok video that's how little screen time together they're actually getting.

It better be some epic thing like he caused the death of someone close to Zeke or something close to that magnitude that he really doesn't want to talk about it. If it's some stupidly minor thing it really won't make sense for him to put so much of a strain on their relationship otherwise. Even if it is something major he could at least have the decency to say something like "It's not something I'm ready to talk about now, please just give me some time and I'll let you know when I'm ready. It's nothing you have to worry about." But nope instead he just brushes it off but then drops a couple pieces of information that just makes Fifth worry.

Personally I think Ray is just scared to let anyone close to him. The only people that loved him died and the only person he's loved since them rejected him.

Ray keeps losing / getting rejected by the people he loves, personally I think he does have feelings for Sand but he's afraid to let himself feel and act on it. Yeah it's shitty that he keeps hurting Sand, but yet they both keep going back to each other.

Poor Nick is just too whipped to know what's good for him...which let's be honest, looks alone who wouldn't be whipped for Boston. It is cute in a sadistic type of way watching him think he can change Boston even though what he really should be doing is getting out the can of whipped cream and topping off Boston's cake pop with it...

Dear sweet Sand, our resident glutton for punishment that also knows how to bit back. Ray thinks Mew is his kryptonite but more and more it's Sand that's the one that gets through to him and despite constantly getting kicked down sees through Ray's bullshit. He may come out the other end bloodied and bruised, but personally I'm hoping he gets the medal in the end.

Mew and Top...honestly who cares...they're just the annoyingly hard wrapper to open up so you can get at the good stuff that's all the other characters. We almost got to see Mew acting like an actual human and not just a cardboard cutout...but then of course he went back to being a pile of goo in Top's arms at the end of the episode. Kill the cricket, eat it, stop trying to be a real boy, and go all of freaking rabid dog on Top and Boston.

April and Nam....serious what's the point of them?? They do so little with them that it's like someone said we'd better add some bon bon so this isn't a complete sausage party...NO, JUST NO!! "Bad Buddy", "The Warped Effect", and others previously actually gave the lesbian couple an actual story and character development, not just so they could say hey look we have lesbians!!

Neo FINALLY got his chance to shine and show he's so much more capable of playing more than just the goofy sidekick, when is Drake finally going to get his chance to do the same, because it's unfortunately not with this series!?

LOL in "that" scene I was so tense thinking Ray would go after Jenny/Yo the way he did with the others.
No freaking way.....Ray may be a drunk druggy trying to numb his sadness but he's not suicidal. No one would ever mess with Yo thinking they would survive!! lol

Title Our Story The Series Spoiler
The fact that episode 2 released 5 hours ago and there's not a single comment for the day really goes to show what people think of this season so far.

When Hiro Shimoji (Fifth) and Jericho Del Rosario (Zeke) are allowed to just do their thing they are amazing together as was easily proved by them really carrying last season. Unfortunately this season so far Oxin Films has really gotten in the way and almost completely ruined every moment the two of them have together on screen....when they're actually on screen. At this point they're fighting to even keep 4th place in the screentime race with freaking Chukchuk nipping at their heels, and Kim, Joel and Jason, and freaking newbie Iris (with Zeke Scenes) all in the top three places. Actually no I take that back, as at this rate even Jelai and Chukchuk are working on passing them.

This is quickly turning into one of those cases where you really want to watch it for no other reason than supporting the actors you like in the hopes that they'll get more and better quality work in the future....but it makes it a real struggle to do it. At this point they really need to fire up the screen printing press and start cranking out "I SURVIVED "OUR STORY" THE SERIES!!" T-Shirts, although it might be easier and cheaper to just print "I SURVIVED AN OXIN FILMS PRODUCTION!!".

It's infuriating to see talented actors wasted on poor writing and production and even more so when these poorly done productions keep bringing in a lot of sponsors when you have much higher quality productions (especially ones from Vietnam) that have no possibility to find sponsors / government credits and yet they consistently produce higher quality material using only donations and their own money. I was really hoping "Tie The Not" was going to be the new standard of their productions and that maybe the first episode was going going to be a rocky start even though it's all established characters. I've said it before and I'll say it again, they really need to learn that less is more and to focus on the core characters, better writing, etc. and not trying to give everyone under contract with them a paycheck with just one series.

Right now there's three BL series airing on Fridays, "My Personal Weatherman", "I Feel You Linger In The Air", and "Dangerous Romance". I can honestly say that "Dangerous Romance" is the one I watch because I like some of the cast, but other than that it's because it's something to watch while waiting for "I Feel You Linger In The Air" to air because that series is done so much better. A lot of the GMM 2023 series have felt like they're from years ago we've both said, but with this one it really doesn't make sense seeing as how it's their own original work and not adapted from a source material.

Their whole catch phrase for this year was "Diversely Yours" yet it all feels very much same old, same old, except for some they feel REALLY old.
On Dangerous Romance Sep 15, 2023
Whelp...we can now say that we know what we'd get if GMM let one of their accountants ghostwrite a BL series. We're five episodes in and this is trying way too hard to tick all the boxes that GMM thinks makes a good series, the problem is, it isn't and it doesn't. If this series was a few years ago, and not with the cast they have, it would be a decent series. The problem is that GMM fails to realize that the BL audience is shifting to include more LGBTQ viewers and their productions need to take that into account with the stories they are telling. We've had series like "Not Me", "The Warped Effect", and "Never Let Me Go" just to name a couple that do an amazing job of actually giving depth to their BL/LGBTQ storylines, and that just makes this feel like a huge step backwards. Instead they are continuing to go for quantity over quality and are really getting outpaced by the BL series from other countries that have really stepped up with maturing their storylines, etc. for the broader audience.

WE get it, love triangles are a common real life situation so it's something that gets covered a lot, but not in every freaking series and at least change it up. This is one area where "Bad Buddy" really shined, yes there was a sort of love triangle, but it was done in such a different way in that Pat realized he did like her, but his feelings have changed. "Dangerous Romance" should really have taken a page from the "Bad Buddy" book and gone the same route or something similar.

Perth does an amazing job of portraying very realistic characters and the multiple layers and depths of their emotions, yet this series is completely devoid of that, and it's a real shame. I was really hoping for Perth's first BL with GMM that they were going to give him some amazing material to play around with, but what we're getting so far is just more watered down, surface deep, merch machine, grind fest. This isn't based off of a previous material, they had all the freedom they wanted to really deliver something different from their normal faire.

------

Episode 5 is quite honestly nothing but a filler episode as there's nothing that couldn't have been done in a single scene to progress the storyline. The fact that we're only 5 episodes in and they're already do an entire episode of filler really speaks to the weakness of the material and who knows how many more filler episodes we're going to get to pad this out to the 12 episodes. Hey at least we can look forward to another 1,000,000,000,000,000 times of them almost kissing, because you know that's what's really important...yes that last part was sarcasm for anyone that didn't get that.

-----

And yes, I'm going to be an idiot and keep watching this, because hey what else am I going to watch on a Friday and because I do like Perth and Chimon (as well as some of the rest of the cast) and hope they get better series in the future.
On My Personal Weatherman Sep 15, 2023
Poor dear sweet Yoh is so freaking clueless and yeah it's all kinds of adorable. lol He's so far down the rabbit hole of his own feelings that he can't even see that Mizuki has liked him for a really long time and besides their amazing chemistry together it's addicting wanting to know how/when Yoh is finally going to realize it. With every episode Mizuki does something else to show Yoh how he feels, while Yoh stumbles trying to not reveal his true feelings.

I like how this series is doing the whole actions speak louder than words, they'll just not speaking the same silent language yet rather than it just being the typical cookie cutter misunderstanding / not communicating with each other that so many other series falls back on.

I keep saying the same thing! I knew when the Oxin page kept posting all these side characters, that they were…
Yeah the cast for this one really should have been stripped down to just the four guys in the boarding house and their apparent love interests, Sky's mother since she's still running the boarding house, and Zeke's ex since that's apparently were the storyline is going this series.

They continue to fail to learn the lesson that less is more. Hell last series / season had four couples (five if you count Sky's parents), a multi-episode hey look it's freaking chuk-chuk taking over as star of the series, and that's not even mentioning the other side characters. There's an argument to be made that having so many side characters, etc. makes the series feel more alive / realistic, but have them be pop-in side characters that fill out a scene, etc. not giving everyone of them their whole own story arc through the whole season. Again, this is where "Tie The Not" really stood out because it had a much smaller cast that put the primary focus on the main characters and yeah it had it's own problems with flow because of being a shortened series, but it worked so much better.

we get it, you love your dog.....so give him his own "The Adventures Of Chuk-chuk" series.

Oxin Films proving when your expectations start in the basement....you better grab a shovel and start digging the subbasements.

They actually have a few competent actors, but instead of focusing on them and a quality storyline / production they have to add ten thousand side characters and storylines for them just so they can pay everyone they have under contract.

Hiro and Jericho are the only things that really make this worth watching, they are so good when left alone to do their thing and wouldn't only be better under a much better production company.

-----

I actually really liked "Tie The Not" and thought the production quality on that series was good, as was hoping that was going to be the new standard of quality of their series, unfortunately that's not the case.
On Across the Sky Sep 13, 2023
The first episode was actually a very strong start in a year that's had a lot of disappointing series. Sky played by Boss is the lead role of the series and did Boss ever command every scene he was in. For only being his second acting role and his first main role, he very much came off as an actor with numerous credits under his name.

Sky comes off as a very happy, cheerful, hopeful young man, but there's an underlying sense of loneliness and sadness, especially when talking about his dad or with Uncle Max that was perfectly subtly done.

As long as it keeps with the quality of the first episode, this should end up being a really good series. The only down side is that it's fan subbed (as of right now) and some of the words were missing letters, etc. at the end of a sentence, etc. but not enough to make it hard to understand what was being said.
