As always, you express my exact thoughts so perfectly regarding FiZeke!! I am honestly extremely disappointed…
Even Fifth not wanting people in general to know they're dating is rather out of character right now, especially after the whole Zeke X Kim aka Fifth overthinking and jealousy thing of last season. Sure it makes sense if Fifth is worried about losing regular customers over it and/or his personal safety while working, but damn it spend the twenty seconds on having a comment about it and have one less toilet humor joke.
Luckily when I was writing my original comment I accidentally clicked off the page so I had to rewrite it because it was originally a semi-incoherent rant at the disservice they are doing to the characters and the actors. lol
at least Yang will have plenty of time to explain everything to Phumjai while they're rebuilding the store interior. Offroad and Daou took what have to have one of the more difficult and awkward scenes to film and really made the whole thing look chaotic and sexy as hell.
I said before Phojai better deal with his own shit before Munchkin kicked him in the balls and of course he didn't and of course he did. I'm soooo glad he finally stood up for himself, but there's a couple of episodes left so I wouldn't mind if Phojai redeemed himself in the end.
This is still easily one of my fav BL series of the week and ties with "Across The Sky" and "I Feel You Linger In The Air" as fav series airing right now period.
Tod's abs deserve their own cast credit. If they make an appearance in every episode I'll be okay with that. Last…
Yeah...and to think we'll have to suffer through them again (not to mention a whole lot more of Tod and Cheque in various states of undress and f'ing) next year in Lovely Addict...how will we ever suffer through.... lol
Well it only took four episodes but we finally got half a decent episode so there's still hope. lol Well half a decent episode minus the repeat cameo of the CGI Crayola crayon tiger...I mean seriously Tony The Tiger from Frosted Flakes looks more vicious. lol
Well holy shit Mew was actually interesting for 5 minutes... lol
Can someone please hit ray upside the head with a planet sized cast iron frying pan and jiggle a brain cell loose so he stops going after Mew and get back to the Sand's Rehab where he belongs. The preview for next week looks like the age old be careful what you wish for, it might not be what you wanted when you actually get it.
I'll echo what many others have been saying, if there are awards to be won for this series they definitely go to Neo and to Mark.
Awwww poor sweet little innocent Ton and Top got their little feels hurt....good thing revenge is a dish best served cold because it's going to be very hot in hell...but hey at least they'll have each other to keep company. Neither deserves a redemption arc but if one of them does get it, please be Ton.
Sooooo......when do we get the hot and steamy Sand and Nick wild jack rabbit f'ing their sorrows away together scene?? I mean everyone is already screwing each other in one way or another, might as well have them go at it literally. lol
I've been saying this ad nauseam lately and apparently need to continue doing so, but has every one of these writers lately completely thrown out all the fundamental principles of character creation and story writing!?!?
Everyone be it a fictional character or a real life person has core character traits that make up the foundation of who they are, how they react, etc. in situations. There are some situations so extreme that they can bend or even temporarily break those character traits, and even extremely rarer situations that can shatter those traits and the person never comes back from it.
In the last season they spent the entire season establishing the core character traits of Zeke, Fifth, and their relationship together. For the first half or three quarters of the season they spent their time almost exclusively on the three F's (Flirting, Fucking, and Falling in love) and the last section of the season really cementing their love, understanding, and the core of their character traits related to each other.
So far in season 3 they have completely ignored everything they established about their character traits and about their relationship traits, not to mention completely reduced their flirting to ridiculous toilet humor which is a step back from their flirting game last season.
Zeke knows that one of Fifth's core character traits is that he's a worrier about everything and once the wheel starts spinning it doesn't stop until he's worry has been sufficiently squashed. Zeke would have sucked it up and dealt with the uncomfortable pain of at least telling Fifth something like "He was a childhood friend, he betrayed me in the worst possible ways and it's too painful to get into it anymore than that." That would have been enough to appease Fifth's worry, at least until if/when the situation escalated. Zeke also knows how much pressure Fifth is in with trying to balance school, the need to work, and their relationship, the last thing he would do is cause Fifth more stress. They even re-established that at the beginning of this season with Zeke buying a truck and assuming all of the expenses that go with that, mainly according to him so he does have to burden Fifth anymore for rides. Again, his love and caring for Fifth has become one of his core character traits.
On the other end of the spectrum, despite Fifth being a worrier, he would have seen the pain that Zeke was in even mentioning Kevin and wouldn't have kept pressing the matter. Again, they spent all last season even before they fell in love establishing how Fifth was always willing to help Zeke no matter how busy, etc. he was with his own things. The more they went on and the more they fell in love with each other the deeper Fifth's love and caring for Zeke became, again becoming one of his core character traits. After the bedroom scene in episode three where Zeke finally told Fifth everything about the situation with Kevin, Fifth NEVER would have continued contact with Kevin and NEVER agreed to help him, okay, he might have met up with him to get across the sincerity of telling Kevin he knows what he did to Zeke, that he won't let him hurt him again, and that he won't help him and then got up and left before Kevin said anything. Fifth now knowing that Kevin betrayed Zeke and now partially understanding why Zeke hates it so much when people lie to him never would have continued lying to Zeke about where he was. Yes Fifth lied about going to meet Kevin, but Zeke would have gotten over that a lot easier if Fifth came clean afterwards telling him it was so he could confront Kevin about contacting him, etc. and also serve as a warning to Zeke that this might not be over. It's too far out of Fifth's core character traits to betray and continue to lie to Zeke about it, especially when Fifth knows he can't lie to save his life, it's not in his character.
Here's another thing, what happened to Zeke being a photographer and other than holding his camera a first time has that been completely dropped this season? If Zeke was still working as a freelance photographer part-time after school then he would have been advertising it on social media, posting when at location shoots, etc. and this would have given Kevin all of the information he needed to find out where Zeke was. Creepy and Stalker-ish definitely, Kevin being so obsessed with wanting to make things right that he does things so completely wrong...definitely could have made for a really interesting character arc. This also would have allowed Zeke and Fifth to remain true to their core character traits while creating a situation so increasingly extreme that it as I mentioned before, causes their core character traits to bend or even temporarily break. The stress of trying to deal with the Kevin situation could have caused them to unintentionally lash out at each other, strain their relationship, etc. without completely compromising who they are are characters right from the start.

"The Day I Loved You" was an amazing series which while it had shorter episodes and therefore less time for overall character growth, also had some amazingly emotional scenes. I mention this because the writer of this was the director of that, so it makes you wonder, what this series could have been if Easy Ferrer had complete creative control. Jericho and Hiro Shimoji are definitely much more capable than what they've been given with this season/series.
So far there's nothing specifically wrong with it, but there's nothing standout-ish about it either, hopefully that changes. I think part of the problem is just that there's been so many workplace boss/secretary boss/intern series this year that it's just a case of oversaturation.
Agree, it odd how this isn't better. In fact according to me, this would have been a top 3 series three years…
Yeah exactly, we've had "Bad Buddy", "Not Me", "Never Let Me Go", "Eclipse" and a few others really show what a good BL can be like when they skip out most/all of the trope and stereotypical bs. This series along with the poor pacing, etc. just really feels like a step back in quality.
after the past couple of episodes I really wish they had skipped out all of the Pimfah, Sailom, Kang love triangle bs and spent more time on Sailom trying to reconcile his feelings of him having a boyhood crush, with Kang the bully, and now the Kang the sweet, caring guy he can be to develop the build up more. That said, they also needed to do more with Kang trying to make up for the way he originally treated Sailom, which of course they just glossed over. It would have been so much better if Kang taking his shirt off and teasing Sailom in the bathroom was Kang realizing he's starting to like Sailom and teasing / flirting with him.
Hmmm. Ohm and Perth? Now, that's a pairing that sounds interesting and I think I wanna see it. Both are awesome…
Ohm and Perth played off of each other really well in "Double Savage" and they are really funny when together, they've been friends for years in real life. Sometimes actors have trouble or avoid doing romantic series with their close real life friends. I think if that wouldn't bother them, then they could make an amazing and very natural chemistry BL couple. They both can be tough little badasses but also goofy, dorky, cute, sweet, romantic ones as well which like I said I think would give them a dynamic much more like MaxTul and having a couple with an even dynamic is something really missing now that MaxTul aren't acting together anymore (at least for the foreseeable future).
I love Perth, Like Chimon, not liking the two of them together, and what the hell is with the execution of this series?!
This series is an original work written by two normally excellent writers and directed by two normally excellent directors......so what the hell happened?? It's like they took an amazing script, put it in a blender and then tried to fix it by putting it into a time machine that malfunctioned and threw it all out of whack. Everything keeps going from zero to 100 (not talking about the normal sped up time common in series) and there's no natural development going on. First we went from the Kang and Sailom bully situation to magically everything is forgiven to now we have boy like girl, girl likes other boy who likes other boy to boy tells boy he likes boy to boy saying he doesn't like him back, to them kissing in what 20 minutes? In feels everything that happened in ep. 6 was in the time span of not even a full 24. hrs. and like I said there's no feeling of natural progression to it.
The other thing that is really starting to annoy me is GMMTV seems to be completely adverse to having two strong masculine characters together in a relationship. Maybe it wasn't considered because they are such close friends in real life, but Ohm and Perth would be a killer working couple with a dynamic more like MaxTul that is sorely lacking in GMM's lineup.
Perth is normally amazing in his BL roles and there's so much depth of character, which unfortunately is severely lacking in this series. If you watch him in "The Stranded", he's absolutely amazing in the portrayal of his character and what he has to go through. Having seen him in other BL roles, I really don't think it comes down to anything he's doing wrong, I think it comes down to what he's been given to work with / direction.
-------
at this point the only thing dangerous about this is watching it while operating heavy machinery.
a successful attack ? do you mean who has sex with their partner first ?
There's times a series isn't officially subbed or the fan subs are better than the official ones so it's always good to have a site or two in your back pocket, even if it's not an official one.
It will definitely be interesting to see what they're going to do with season 2, and yeah hopefully not screw it up.

I'm actually quite enjoying this series.... granted shirtless Tod might be helping that a bit... lol
