I am wondering why this drama has 16 episodes when everything is almost sorted out, do you feel the unease? I…
Well, the first arc has been almost closed - getting the snakes to marry. Now, we have new drama I think which is ML avoiding his death and ML dealing with his arranged marriage.
Today's episode was amazing! π§¨π₯β€οΈβπ₯ So satisfying!Btw, did Yang Jo Ran also come from the future?…
In the webtoon his cause of death was very different compared to drama, so in the webtoon it was easier to avoid his death, than in the drama version...
From preview for EP11 we can see the FL dressed in white going to Min Hwan's wedding and Su Min is dressed in that horrendous wedding dress, the FL had on when she was getting married in her past life.

Indeed, Korea was at that time lead by Confucianism and that was basically above everything and even though Confucius is till this day considered as a great thinker, I have to disagree with his ideology, which was very man-focused.
There is no way the female lead would be getting somewhere if she was walking around as a woman. She wouldn't be even allowed to play badeuk, so how would she be allowed into man politics?
How do we know he is married? And why in the world would he recycle his brother's concubine? I could see him granting…
On the Korean chart, there is a queen and we can assume, she is Yi In's wife. It was unheard of for any monarch to not have a wife, and country it's mother, so early marriages were practiced very often. I am quite shocked that Yi In as a grand prince didn't have wife already.

Btw, fun little fact; ALL maids belong to the monarch, meaning they are prohibited from marriage and technically are ''married'' to the king. On very special occasions king could grant an amnesty and send the maid out of palace to live as a normal citizen thus she could marry. If the monarch wasn't benevolent though and maid was caught having an affair, she would be sentenced to death, because her body by law belonged to the monarch.

No, court ladies all had ranks, and 5th rank isn't the highest rank. Just like officials, servants had ranks as well, so in historical dramas they often say ''official of 8th rank'' or other number, same goes for maids. Court Lady Dong looks like the second highest rank, which means she personally takes care of the king, meaning, she is head lady, but that is my assumption based on observation. Kings of course, could take any maid of any rank, but usually, they upgrade them to concubine (which also has ranks) because keeping maid as a bed maid was kiiiiinda frowned upon and the said maid would get talked about like ''she isn't perfect enough to be a concubine'' and so on.
I am intrigued though with the gift she has received from Queen dowager, and I question it myself. It is a valuable item, but not as valuable as the head piece. If you look closely, the queen and other higher ladies, have a head piece (just like western queens had crowns) and that head piece also signifies a certain rank :)

That's not how it works.
By giving someone tassels does not mean making someone a concubine. In the Korean chart which i have checked she is still a sanggung of 5th rank. While sanggung's could share the king's bed usually the king upgraded their status to concubine. Also, this court lady wasn't named as ''seungeun'' sanggung which is favored sanggung who shares the bed with the king.
I will have to properly see the next episode to see what type of sanggung she is, but I doubt she is concubine...Maaaybe he upgraded her as seungeun, but we will see.
She is the new fixer of expressions with her slaps LOL
This time ML is going to be the centre of attention.
