Indeed, having opinions is fine, but calling someone "p***y" and calling bisexual people "disgusting" is not an opinion guys, but hate speech, so report such behavior :)

I am your new kind reminder to use the pretty "report" button that MDL created for ppl who engage in hate speech :)

Let us all send those kind of people to exile, shall we?

I think FL's revenge will fail not because she is weakminded or weakhearted, but because she will realize that they share the same goal.
Might be wrong, we will see.

Also, standing up against his father???? I have to process this, because where is the filial piety? Like, that is a no-no in Joseon.

How did he help her? He didn't help her, nor others that were sentenced three years ago.
The reason he ''stepped in'' back than, when FL came in, in man's clothes is because he knew that if she was to be discovered, she would face very harsh death (probably would have her limbs torn) and also her entering in man's clothing meant different kind of torture - torture meant for men.

We can argue if he stepped in because he liked her, or cared for her, I simply view it as caring for another human being.

I am not speaking from my opinion, I am simply stating historical facts. I do not fancy Myeong Ha if you think I am ''backing him up'' or something. I am pursuing degree in history, so sticking to history is my thing.

I do not understand what are you trying to say.
This is Joseon which is dominated with Neo-Confucianism meaning it is man's world.
If Myeong Ha didn't return, he would be probably hunted down and killed for possible treason or disobeying king's order.
If you want to understand the story, you need to understand the position of man and woman in Joseon's court.
Him coming back is not as big of a threat as FL being inside a palace, like, she is in such a big danger.
Myeong Ha is a man, has every right to be in a court, while FL is a female in disguise and if someone learns about that, she would face worse death than Myeong Ha would ever face for not reviving that tree, meaning Myeong Ha has every right to be concerned. Hell, if I was there I would grab her as well and probably yell at her to get her shit together and leave, because as a fellow woman, it would pain me to watch a fellow woman walking directly to the arm's of death.

''So who is he to grab her hand and tell her what she should do and what not.'' Like I said in the comment above, I am going to repeat it again. FL is basically choosing a death sentence, there is no sugarcoating in it, so even though they are not close at all, Myeong Ha doesn't like when people suffer, which was seen in EP5 when he freed some people, meaning he doesn't want FL to die if she makes a mistake. Like, where did human concern go? Down the drain? Do I have to be close to you - a stranger - in order to tell you that it is better to not do something? In the end, he did let her go and respected her decision.

And with the marriage thing, I did state comments down below that actually, Myeong Ha would be back than considered as a Joseon gentleman. Laughable in this age, but back than? Back than there were no questions asked about marriage, it was simply done whether they liked it or not and Myeong Ha ASKING for her hand made me really go ''WOW''.

Do u need to be a friend of someone to care for a fellow human being? When I see some stranger about to get into bad situation do I just stand by and observe? That's inhuman.

It's really hard to read lee in's mind. In the past three years he has changed so much and has become more smart…
I do not feel it.
Imagine it this way, your cherished friend is about to either do something super dumb or dangerous. You want to tell me you wouldnt try to talk your friend out of it? Even if it was dangerous and could cost them their life? I wouldnt want to be such friend who only nods at everything my friend says. In certain situations, I would try to protect them. If they still decide to do it, its on them. Just like the FL did and Myeong Ha did let her go.

I do think that Yi In is up to something, because why else wouldn't he elevate Dong sanggung? Elevating her would be giving her not only higher status, but power as well in woman's court.

Also, let's say Yi In is a bad king, who follows Neo-Confucianism.
Even if she revealed her true self in privacy, she would be still beheaded and tortured, because of disobeying woman's conduct.
The FL as far as I know views Yi In as a bad king, so she probably fears for her life deep inside.

Yes, and his bodyguard is also very smart, so I do think they both know.
