And if after all these explanations about this series that is a love story and not a bromance there still are people saying otherwise, I would seriously recommend them to find a therapist.

If sex and psysical intimacy are the only factors in their minds to think "love", that means they have a serious problem. If they are only 15 or close, they still have a chance to grow up and understand what love means if they are lucky enough to find and share it.
But if they are +25, then it's time to start asking themselves honestly what and where is their problem, to find and solve it.

I think also that it's his way to feel Wang closer when he's not there ( sitting on Wang's place). Something like when you smell a shirt of somebody you miss, to smell the scent of that person and to feel them close.
And "This is Wang's, stay away!" :)

I think they will get some help, sometime/somehow, from these 2 teachers. They understand precisely the situation of Wang and Tian. When they got into the gym and saw Tian and Wang standing so close to eachother, almost hugging, Zhao Xi sent a very sharp look to Tian, almost telling Tian that he knows what happens to him. They were teenagers some years ago, they can recognise the signs :)
In the teachers' room, when they were scolding Wang for his poor grades, Zhao Xi was the only one taking Wang's side. Sweet :)

And Wang doesn't know how Tian would react if he finds out his feelings for him. He thinks: maybe revulsion? Anger? Disappointment? Hate? Shame? More of this kind? A love against nature, we are brothers?
Tian is really good to keep his feelings under lock and key, all he's done for Wang until now could be understood as brotherly love. We know it's not like that because we've got those "Tian's very moments" :)
I remember that teacher saying he secretly fell in love, was an unrequited love and because of that his grades dropped almost giving a heart attack to his class advisor. Funny, isn't it? Who's in the same situation now? And look at Tian's face when the teacher said "secretly fell in love" :) It's all over his face :) (great acting!)
Tian would have lost control soon if Wang didn't take that drastical decision to cut it.
I would be curious to see how their life would look like in the dorm :))

They want to see sex between 17 years old high schoolers? Then they are sick. Sorry, but this is my worldview. Sex implies a lot of responsibility, it's not only hormones running around into a body.

They don't take in consideration the situation which is very complex and the consequences would be so sad. They would regret it and their relationship would be destroyed. No brothers and no lovers. Just strangers who shared a moment of flesh. Shame and avoiding to meet and see eachother for the rest of their lives.

Those people who want to see sex now between the 2 boys at this level, take sex for easily and have it casual, without second thoughts and intentions to think serious of it. That is also OK when you choose to live like this, no ties and no feelings, only lust and desire, when you are an adult to take responsibility for own life. But these 2 boys have feelings for eachother and they are fragile at their age. They are the first love to eachother.

They are intelligent enough to avoid it. Tian knows exactly what happens with Wang, he feels the same. He's just better to keep it contained. He has many years of experience in hiding his feelings.

And it's so easy to understand, they have the parallel situation of the 2 teachers. "Why are you avoiding me?" "Because I am in love with you".
Some people here have only 1 brain cell. And that 1 is very tired, too.
For them, love means sex. I suppose they are 15 years old. Just to find an excuse :)

I think we have to be a little patient. The last ep was released today. Even Rome was not built in 1 day :)

I think it's obvious there will be a season 2. There are things unfinished,

I believe Tian felt betrayed by his father, the idea of family was destroyed in that moment. Not only cheated on his mother, he also felt cheated on. From that moment, he felt like he didn't belong any place, in the end he was wandering around with his suitcase ready to go. His mother was never at home, he felt like abandoned and neglected by his mother and now he lost his father also. Disappointed by both parents, each in own way.
Sheng makes him feel like home, "I am here with and for you, to share everything good and bad and I'll never leave you". Where is Sheng, there is home.

About the scene of the two teachers kissing: in that moment Sheng understood his feelings for Tian. He knew he was very fond of Tian, but now he's aware of which kind of love is.
I believe that he is scared by own feelings. This is why he wants to put some distance between him and Tian and he goes to his own bed. He is not sure if Tian would accept this kind of feelings from him and doesn't want to spoil their relationship. He knows how important is for Tian to be together.

I think he hated his father not for being with a man but for cheating his wife, Tian's mother. It's 2 different things.

Only one remark: they were not accidentally locked in the gym. It was Qi Jiahao. He after locking the gym's door told the other guys that Sheng would not come because he saw him heading to the classroom, probably for evening self-study. He lied. He knew where Sheng was and he wanted him and Tian to spend the night in the gym, not being able to celebrate with their friends.

I can't understand why this sinister, evil idiot is still in school together with Sheng and Tian, after all those incidents he provoked for the 2 boys and, more serious and worse, for his own teacher. The English teacher would have been raped and beaten badly by that gang, Qi Jiahao's "friends". How is possible that after so many serious "incidents" nobody takes measures to remove and punish him for all he did? When Sheng was beatten, they found out that it was Qi Jiahao's plot but they didn't do anything to punish and remove him from that school. In other countries he would have been placed in a detention-school.

So why are you keeping watching it? Just drop it and give us some peace.

You think after today's standards. In that time, this is how things were working in the Japanese society. You have to accept the past, it can't be changed. Good or bad, that was. It's stupid to come with modern arguments about events that happened at 1600.

I have predicted these winners from that time the show was aired. MDL rating givers are biased. They would rate better a sweet, brainless romcom, forgotten after 2-3 weeks, than to give a consistent rating to a piece of work like "Shogun". It's ridiculous, the difference between kitsch and real art.

You cannot see so often such a beautiful and almost perfect series these days.

You ask for the impossible at this point. Think about how Taichi was growing up and who was there to take care of him. His grandfather, an old man, a widower. Where and how would Taichi learn to kiss, hug and express his feelings? Remember the piece of advise his grandfather gave him when he asked if the old man would be mad with him if he drops out the college: "Don't take a decision being afraid of loneliness" (or something like that).
Taichi has never been hugged or kissed by his grandfather, because he is a man and men do not do that :)) (of course they do, but grandfather is a man educated in another era). Taichi was in college paying himself the tuition, having many jobs, that's why he was always tired. His grandfather has his own life, own friends, going to events and coming home late and sometimes drunk. He doesn't cook for Taichi and when he does, very rare, the food is burnt or tasteless. This is why Taichi is always hungry and really happy for Kohei's bento boxes. He never had a proper meal, homemade.

Taichi, at this point, cannot hug in another way, would be so much out of character if he did it in the way you want. Remember the last scene, when his ears got red :) He said "Don't say something like that so casually!" - I am sure Kohei said "I love you". Those words he has never heard from anybody else.

He needs to evolve in this direction. Maybe we are lucky and they produce a 2nd season. But don't expect much even so :)

Even if it was like that, it was not Maya's problem. Taichi was Kohei's notetaker not Maya's. If Kohei has a problem with that, it's HIS call to say something to Taichi. Maya is just a pain in the ass, she thinks she's the policeman between those guys, she must make justice there after her own standards and judgements. She HAS to put everybody in their little boxes, without knowing anything about those guys. Not even about Kohei.
Behaving like that she puts a "fool" label on Kohei's forehead, don't you think? Kohei would be a fool, letting Taichi to take advantage of him - can't Kohei see himself the quality of those notes or is he having problems also with his eyes?
She's just lucky that Kohei is so nice. She goes too much over the line.
