Try to find some empathy and compassion somehow, somewhere - if you can. Those guys are living a special situation in a very special environment. They are real humans.

I suppose if they were to be together, they already were so. They had a flirt in the past - as I understood. That didn't go anywhere. I can see Youngjoon is irritated by Myeongkyun's simply presence. And now I expect that (because of the production's interference) he will become even more irritated.
He maybe thinks that Hanmin is 100% devoted to him, while Hanmin is open to know other people in the house, too. He said that he didn't date anyone but Youngjoon since he arrived in the house.

On the other hand, I can see Jaeseung is also frustrated because Seongmin didn't call him back, he was sure he would get a call from him.
Now, because Seongmin has this secret mission, there will be a lot of misunderstandings. This is a situation created from behind the scenes by producers. To create conflicts, tension, drama, stress.

I've read these days an article somewhere that's said something like this: "The Tik Tok generation is not able anymore to watch a movie 1.5 hours long. They are used to see 2 minutes of action and then want something new, and again something new, and so on. They have no patience and they lose their focus after some minutes".

I have also seen that this generation do not read books, they prefer to watch the movies made after books. It's not the same, I have never watched a movie (series) made after a book that respected the book completely. Those are only adaptations, the director's/screenwriter's "translation" of the book, made within the limits of a budget. Watching only the movies, they miss some important meanings and own thoughts about the book. It's exactly what schools in some parts of the world do, they do not teach young people anymore critical thinking, they give the problem and the solution - that solution it's proper for own purposes (brainwashing, manipulation). They will never even know ...

It's great that you try to explain how to watch a series (movie), but I don't know how many would even understand what you mean. :)

Secret missions? I think is the first time I see this.
Why secret? To create confusion, heartbreaks, stress and pain. The person having the mission is sorry to create stupid situations for the others and those who are moved like some pawns on a chessboard are getting pain. Only because producers want to complicate things and make it more exciting for the viewers. Like "Bread and circuses"? No matter who gets hurt and if that happens even better? For ratings? "They've wanted to be here, so they must endure"?
They chose the right moment to make Seongmin and Hwi's relationship, already fragile, to become even more complicated. The argument "If there are real feelings..." real feelings after 3 days? Maybe they would become real if they are given some chances. But producers make all they can not to.

I say this again: they do not have time to know eachother. Hanmin said he didn't date anybody except Youngjoon. Half of the time is gone.
In all 3 seasons, young guys like Seungjin had no chance to find a partner. When you know him better, you find out he is a nice and lovable guy - but only those without love interest in him reach this conclusion, because in front of them he is not that shy and the introvert in him opens and reveals himself. He has NO chance in 6 days to be known by the person he likes.

Producers are quite cruel taking advantage of a gentle and undecided person like Seongmin. I suppose looking at him crying, they rejoice because their show is sooooooo interesting (irony). Think how he will return to his students after all this. I don't believe he would have wanted to take part in it if he knew all this.
This is not a dating program, first of all people in the house do not have time enough to know each other. Producers only play games with their feelings, making moves from behind the scenes to make everything painful and complicated.
They should stop playing dirty like this. Those are real people not lab rats.

Jaeseung and Hwi: sometimes it's better to stay home :) Privacy without disturbance. I would love to see these two together.

You are more Catholic than Pope. Age gaps, teacher-student, bla bla.... what more do you find to set boundaries?

When producers chose the contestants to participate in the show, they took in consideration all connections that could be initiated between the men in the house. If there was a problem (like you love to create), they would have made all possible to avoid it. Otherwise, the show would be cancelled. There are moral and legal conditions to make a show like this.

I am married to a 9 years younger :)) Have been married for 21 years now and still going strong. And I am a woman, married to a man.

Age is only a number. There are 21 years old people very mature and wise and family oriented. And there are 35 years old and even older (or any age) very selfish, childish, drama queens, never be able to commit/settle down and have a family, like butterflies from flower to flower.

The one stuggling here is Youngjoon, not Myeongkyun. Yj is making a big fuss about their flirting in the past, while Mk is indifferent. "You can tell them or not. What does that matter?" Mk is the normal guy here, while Yj is like paniking that the other guys in the house might find out that he and MK met in the past. Who cares? Everybody has a past at 28 and somebody they liked before.

I live in Denmark. Same sex marriage was legalized here 15th of June 2012, both in civil ceremonies and in the church. And I am proud of my country. This is what all civilized countries should do.
In vain you have a good level of life if you cannot be happy.
Gay people are humans, they have the same rights as all of us, the first right of all is the right to a happy life. No money in the world can buy real happiness. To live in fear and in secret and not be able to be yourself it must be a nightmare.

Me too :) I don't like people bragging and being so full of themselves.

I make a prediction: Hwi and Seongmin will not have such a smooth ride. Seongmin said "If I'm in the middle of a love triangle, I might feel quite happy? Cause I'm grateful that they like me". So, if there will be another suitor (and I think 100% that will be), he would be happy ... Hwi gave away his heart too soon.

And where is the problem?
Both loved men that died. They are women with education, money, intelligence, beauty. They want to live their lives, to see the world, to meet interesting people, to try new things. They are free and independent women in any respect, not depending on any man. They want to meet men that can respect them and never try to treat them like their inferiors, to inspire them, to show them love and to be able to make them love at their turn. Both Rosie and her boss are women in their 40's, with high standards, with knowledge of the world.
They both know what a total love is and how painful is to miss it by death. After years of mourning, they want to live their lives again but at full. They understood that life is short and unpredictable. Difficult to find THAT man if you just sit on your ass and wait for him to come in on your door. They want to go out, to find him, to meet interesting people and to try. And if they find them, it's ok. If he isn't there to be found, it's also ok. They have so many interests and are curious to see and learn, places to visit and admire this big world we live in. Men are not everything for a woman to be happy. They can afford now to choose after their wishes, to give what they want and to whom they want. Only enjoying the sweet life.
For Rose - she needs a man who is able to inspire her, to make her create, to make her find in herself talents and energies she even didn't know that they exist. If that man is not able to do that - he is not good enough.
P.S. There is no scale for loving "she loved Jia Ming the most". You love or not. You can love in many ways. But not less or more. That is.

So what? She has so much to love already. Her daughter, parents, brother and sister-in-law, nephew. She loves her job and she is so good at it, only the sky above is the limit of what she could achieve at it. Her life is fulfilled with all she wants and loves, beauty, art, adventures, good friends.

I am sure she will meet many interesting men in her future, but there must be quite a special one to make her fall in love again. At 40, standards are high. She is so beautiful and special, men are attracted to her like moths are to light :)) No worries she will not have her share of love and romance in the future. Now she knows her own value, she will not give herself to a man who doesn't deserve her.

I think you misunderstand the meaning of "compromise".
1. To compromise means an agreement by 2 parts being into a dispute, where each side is making concessions. One giving up on something to receive something else in return. Concessions have to be mutual.
2. To compromise yourself: to damage your image, your reputation for loyalty, honesty or moral values.
It's that what you describe above?

But in general I agree with you. That choise of word I think is bad.
