Light fluffy rom coms full of trops can be a fun watch. But some rated so high in no way compare to the excellence of this drama. If mysteries are a genre you enjoy, this is really good. Much better than this rating indicates.
I have not read the book so I don’t have that as a reference for comparison. But compared to both US and Korean TV series I have watched it is one of the most powerful, gut wrenching, moving experiences I have watched. To examine the human condition in deeply painful and difficult circumstances yet out of that also see the best of humanity “we are together on the same lot. Mercy is neither a gift or a power. Mercy is an admission. Survival comes at a cost.“
This episode had me sobbing. What sacrifices have our ancestors made to survive…a sobering contemplation
Refreshingly different comedy. Very snappy and bold style and direction. They also manage to fold in some serious issues such as the interview scene. This drama is set apart from the many that seem so formulaic recently
it's actually not a kdrama it's an Hollywood drama because it's produced by themit just have Korea actor and even…
Thank you for the clarification. It's so funny because I had no idea that Snowpiercer was a Korean Movie, since the cast was familiar and English language. But, production company and Director Korean. I appreaciate the clarification. In my heart of hearts, I consider this Korean due to the talent involved. I adore the series. I guess I am stubborn, and need to mend my ways... LOL
I liked the short form - the story doesn't need 12 episodes to tell, and the power struggle comes to a shocking conclusion at the end, but open for season 2 if need be. Great cast!
Really negative vibes on the father, at first you are mad at the daugher, but when you learn more about the dad... ewww... That tattoo, the black clothes, etc.
Loved the cast. Lots of tropes so far, hope they dial down on the hitting. They are adults for goodness sakes. Hope the 2nd ML has a good role in this drama. He has had misfortune in Lovely Liar and Serendipity's Embrace. The FL character is written as bratty in this episode, hope to see more exposition that paints her in a more positive light (as an adult, not just as a little kid)
I would love to see the leads in a better drama - This is light, fluffy, formulaic, fun enough, good that they slated this during the Olympics with fairly light competition, but will be easily forgotten.
I'm so surprised but I am just not enjoying the show. On paper, I do like the idea but somehow something about…
I am struggling with understanding why the ML would be so infatuated with the FL. Not only is she not interested in him but she isn’t that nice. I hate that the one that is nice to him he doesn’t like. Girl pining for boy=bad. Boy pining for girl = good. I am not feeling any authenticity
These last 2 episodes have been disappointing. The FL still keeps secrets, witholds critical information. When there is a big clue - OH, lets interrupt this conversation. She falls for the stupidest trick in the book - do this and don't tell the cops or.... Like that has EVER worked! ML still slow on figuring things out. Dad does his thing without telling anybody... YIKES SOOO FRUSTRATING. Please promote the 2nd ML who is the idol to chief detective as HE is the only one with a brain.
