I googled and I see it was used in She Was Pretty, but I swear I saw it somewhere else.

This is the second drama I have seen the Carpenters song "Close to You" used. Now I am racking my brain what the other drama was.

one line was almost the same as You and Everything Else, which signaled when the relationship takes a bad turn... That is when I groaned, because even other characters say it is bad when a female friendship falls apart over a man.

Somehow, watching this, I envisioned a mashup with the drama Second Shot of Love, where they know each other from selling and buying flowers, or chance meeting at hospital, etc. I think I am watching too many dramas back to back.

So interesting to see Jang Dong Yoon together again with Kim Bo Ra after seeing them in one of my very favorite dramas, Like Flowers in Sand.

agree - some may mistake the character as who the actor is and what is required of them for the performance. Especially flawed characters.

looking at the writing and directing lineup compared to staff, it was less credentialed. Compare to Tempest, and you see right there the importance of writing and directing to success

The key is looking at the writer, director and cinematographer - compare the track record of those involved with this drama, then take a look at the team assembled for Tempest. As different as night and day.

A drama can be star studded and be successful IFas much care was put in for a star studded production team of writers, directors and cinematography. A good example of this is Tempest. This drama has horrible writing, abysmal direction and editing.

Rather startling to see 2 acts of political violence that look exactly like what happened to Charlie Kirk today.

This drama compared to one of a similar storyline - Uncanny Counter, shows the tremendous differences in storytelling, action, acting, the difference is startling.

What the FL did with the rival’s knife had me laughing. I also crack up seeing the reactions when different characters taste her cooking. Is her secret ingredient a hallucinogen.😂

Lee Chae Min is nailing this role. His expressions are perfect for the wide range of emotions his role as king requires. And in the scene in the greenhouse, the way he looks at her when she was so delighted with her gifts! It was like an arrow to the heart. It took my breath away

Same here - adored him in Like Flowers in Sand, as he brings so much sincerity to his roles.

I understand you have your tastes and preferences, and the offerings during these summer months is probably frustrating, but these are rather sweeping conclusions.? For one thing, the writing and director team for this drama are NOT top tier, justifying this cast and budget. Secondly, there have been many good dramas this year - When Life Gives You Tangerines, Study Group, Trauma Code, Head Over Heels, I also enjoyed Way Back Love, Mercy For None, Haunted Palace, Our Unwritten Seoul, Hyper Knife and others. Each platform has had some bombs - When Stars Gossip, Motel California, etc. As for western shows, there have been some with a lot of heart - Murderbot, Lessons in Chemistry, Adolescence, Paradise, Fallout, Andor.

Disney has produced some amazing dramas - Moving, Light Shop, A Shop For Killers, Judge From Hell, Call It Love, Jeongnyeon, Flex X Cop, Revenent, Worst of Evil, and more.
They have their share of ordinary or bad, as do the other platforms.

As we head into fall and winter, I think the lineup of upcoming programs look promising.

The cast is superior to the writing directing team. Which makes me think this is going to be like Impossible Heir in terms of disappointment.
