I just watched the filming behind where he gets pulled by ropes and omg, I'm literally feeling so bad for Tan…
I am sure they took precautions to not actually hurt the actor. There may be some supports that we cannot see in this scene.
Also, there are stuntmen available on set to handle difficult scenes, so if TJC did the scene himself it was because he knew he could handle it. I think we can trust these actors to know what they are doing.
