I have never seen a drama page in which people unanimously vent their disappointment in the performance of a drama.…
I think you can be a fan and still dislike the drama your favourite actress/actor stars in. Actors have very little control over much of makes or breaks a drama like co-actors, plot line, editing, makeup, CGI, etc. For many of them their agencies pick the script based on their short-term financial benefit and the artist has to perform whether they like the script or not.
Having beautiful aesthetics doesn't make a drama great. The point of the discussion area is to have discussions…
Expressing opinions is one thing and I’m all for it. What I cannot tolerate is people deliberately wrecking the rating of an ongoing drama by rating each episode with 1 or 2 as this makes absolutely no sense. If anyone thinks it’s that bad, why would they watch episode after episode? It’s just blatantly obvious that these are people with some sort of psychological issue who either hate a drama enough to click through all the episodes to rate them or, people who hates themselves enough to keep watching a drama they utterly dislike. They really should seek help.
Only MTV can mess up a very beautiful drama with a bad translation. I don't think they realize that tens of thousands…
Oh, they do realise it, they just don’t care. Compared to the Chinese market, a few thousand international viewers are nothing and all the WYS fan girlies will watch it anyway, even if the subs are terrible.
Visually, this looks like an interesting drama with a plot that for once doesn’t involve rebirth or other nonsensical tropes, but the choppy editing and terrible subtitles make it rather hard to follow what is happening.
Watched two episodes of this and so far it is nothing to write home about. The CGI looks like we’re back in Qingqiu. Did they borrow the templates from 3L3W? In that scene were the FL walks drunk carrying a wine jar I felt like I was back in Zhe Yan’s peach grove. Yang Mi’s acting as the nonchalant and bored fox demon also feels like a continuation of her previous role, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, because she was good in that role. It’s just that it enhances that feeling of deja vu. As for Gong Jun, this role as the cheeky charmer bent on revenge seems to suit him better than the stoic character in LoA, but on occasion his laughs looked a bit artificial. I’m not sure whether this was meant to be acting within the acting or just bad acting. Let’s see if this picks up some speed and becomes interesting in the following episodes.
I’m having a lot of fun seeing how they adapt it—there’s a lot of creativity in that. And there are so many…
Hehe, I remember watching ‘Merlin’. It was good in the beginning, but in the later seasons it became a bit silly. I didn’t even know they tried to remake that as well.
He’s just (a very pretty) face. Speaking is for actors 😂
Let’s see how his acting works out in this one. So far I am quite unconvinced and I have a ton of goodwill towards him. He was splendid in WoH but never managed to reproduce that sort of chemistry or spark in any other role.

It isn’t lImited to Asia. The US are notorious for remaking European, mainly British dramas. Their usual audience cannot handle the British humour or the various accents, so they dumb down the plot and make everyone speak with an American accent, et voila, a new hit drama is born 😂
Yes, it’s always nice to see him in costume showing off his superb martial arts skills. However, yet another…
Yes, I like her, too and in the stills that I have seen, she looked amazing! .l don’t think I’ve ever seem Shawn Dou in anything, so I have no opinion on him. Anyways, I know I will watch this and then probable complain every day about my SML-syndrome 😂😂😂
Hmh… the synopsis above gives away a lot of the plot already…let’s hope they keep a few twists and turns for the time when this airs. It has two strong leads who look good together and can act, so all this needs is a good plot and decent editing to make a hit. The trailer looks dark and intriguing, so much better than all these boring pastel colours of the past.
I created a thread in the discussion section on interesting tidbits about SLY. Welcome to check it out. I will…
Thank you for collecting these details all in one spot. Very interesting! It’s incredible how much effort went into these small things (like accessories and props) that will otherwise remain unnoticed.
Is he done filming everything? He is retired now from acting?
Yes, the last project was the guest role as emperor in Feng Ying Ran Mei Xiang and he wrapped filming on 1st May. He is now officially retired from acting and has not been seen since. I think there may be some promotional appearances in the future for Love of Nirvana which is rumoured to be airing at the end of June and for Shui Long Yin as these are usually part of the contract for the role.

Some people seem to have very strange mothers indeed.

With all the hype that has been going on for weeks, how can anyone still be unaware?
