Yey! It’s sad in a way that we are cheering for something that should be the norm.If they are actors, not idol…
That’s what I’m saying. If the “actors” aren’t able to speak properly then they should go back to acting school and learn it as it is an integrate part of the profession. In Hollywood, when silent films were gradually replaced by films with dialogue, many actors had to learn proper line delivery or quit. Hopefully the trend of pretty faces moving lips while voice actors are doing the actual acting will end soon in China as well. It would certainly uplift the acting standards.
Yey! It’s sad in a way that we are cheering for something that should be the norm. If they are actors, not idol boys/girls just looking pretty, they should be able to use their voices properly and also master dialects other than their own. Actors everywhere in the Western World are able to do this, why would actors in China be any less talented?
I saw pics that LYX had wrapped today, but Jeremy will only tomorrow. Maybe he’s just catching up on scenes that happen earlier in the drama, I’m still hoping for that Xi vs Xi showdown… 😍
I chanced upon Yong An Dream, my very first Jeremy Xu drama. Despite not being drawn to the plot, Female Lead…
I understand how you’re feeling. There are many new Jeremy fans who feel the same, just as they found something beautiful, it is taken away from them. That gaunt expression wasn’t just the makeup, though, I think he really needed a rest! At least we still have three more appearances to enjoy while he is away. The roles will be different from the previous romantic ML characters, without any trainee-actresses by his side to cramp his style. Something to look forward to!
Here's my ultimate must-watch list of Jeremy's dramas (in no particular order), SOLELY for his HEARTTHROB factor.…
If you haven’t watched it yet, I can recommend Fairyland Lovers (just for Jeremy, the drama is boring otherwise).. He has a guest appearance using his real voice and shows a wonderfully cheeky side that we never got to see in any other drama. His arc starts around ep. 15, I think.
Thanks for sharing. Was hoping to hear Jeremy's actual voice 😝
They’re called Star Media. From what I’ve seen so far, Jeremy seems to be their only big name. All their other actors look like they’re on “support role in a short-length drama” level.

Apparently, she is very popular from doing variety shows and such… After Jeremy announced that he would quit acting it has filtered through that his agency forced him into all these idol dramas with the trainee actress partners. It was never his choice! All these talentless would-be actresses have money behind them and this type of drama seems to be quite lucrative (at least for the agency). I think the straw that broke the camel’s back was that the agency sabotaged a project that Jeremy had got by his own initiative and then they tried to force him into another drama that he didn’t want to do.
Like this looks on him. But he seems to lose quite a lot of weight.
He has been filming almost non-stop since July last year and he’s been under a lot of stress on top of that. He already looks much better now than a few month ago. Hopefully as soon a this wraps he can go on a long vacation…
Hoping for a lot of epic fight scenes since there's no romance.
I think it will be very refreshing to watch a drama with this cast and without the usual cheesy romance. I cannot bear to watch another drama with these ‘gazing into each other’s eyes while the music plays’ scenes in every episode.
Interesting! If there are a lot of fight scenes, it probably isn’t possible (or practical) to save them all…
I know, this is a tough job. In a recent interview Jeremy gave an account of his day when filming: 1.5 hrs morning routine 2 hrs makeup 10 hrs filming 3 hrs reviewing script for the next day That doesn’t leave much time for eating, sleeping or anything else. I imagine Leo’s day looks very similar to that…
Fun fact: There's a whole db thread dedicated to reporting if the filming went smoothly for LYX for each day.…
Interesting! If there are a lot of fight scenes, it probably isn’t possible (or practical) to save them all for the end of the filming period. Having to do 20 consecutive days of heavy wire works sounds very tiring already. I cannot imagine what it would be like if there are 30 or 40…

Maybe in one of the next dramas… there are still three dramas with him in preparation.
