Hmh… in that case you may want to approach this one with caution. If they stay true to the novel underneath the calculating and dominant Pei Yan there is a sad and lonely boy with a broken heart, all duty and no joy. It will be great to see Jeremy give justice to this complicated character, but at the same time, watching him, we will suffer 😢😢😢
Apparently not. The currently airing Peacock in Wonderland shows that he isn’t under a hard ban, but it looks like no new offers have been made. People are probably scared to cast him because if he says something again the whole project may get canned. I applaud his stand and his courage, but I also understand people being scared.

For me the worst of all drama emperors was the one in Legend of the Phoenix. He wasn’t only greedy, devious, and disloyal, he was also incompetent and a massive coward! The guy was just screaming to be deposed!

It’s a real thing 😂 About 80% of all dramas suffer from this syndrome. It always feels like the head scriptwriter has had enough and left it for the trainee to finish, a bit like the head-surgeon leaving the stitching up to one of his subordinates. I’m only on ep. 32 and am already shaking my head at the fact that while nothing happened in this respect for 30 long episodes, suddenly side-characters that we’ve barely seen around are all getting married.
It will be great to see Jeremy give justice to this complicated character, but at the same time, watching him, we will suffer 😢😢😢
