The next historical drama I am watching is " The legend of Scheng li" but I'll try to stay away from their comment…
I don’t think I’ve ever seen the guy in anything. Maybe he is a good actor, but his looks are just wrong. I was planning to give this a try nonetheless, but already when I watched the trailer I felt my toenails curl up at the sight of these clonky eyebrows… brrrh 😵💫
What is the next drama we are invading? Seems most of us are into the same dramas.
I’ll be bravely heading off towards watching “Flame” once it comes out so that I can tell you which episodes are worth watching for Jeremy’s guest appearance. Until the I’ll probably keep myself entertained with some short-length dramas or rewatching some old Jeremy dramas.

I don’t hate any of them and I honestly can’t be bothered with their private lives, but I think the ML was totally miscast and doesn’t fit the role at all.
After seeing Jeremy Tsui here, he is interesting for me to check his past works😘.. now watching Royal Rumours…
As usual, I will recommend The Legend of the Phoenix. He sadly is dubbed in this one, but his acting is soooo good and there is plenty of drama with one of the most annoying emperors I have ever seen. Towards the end the falls a bit apart, but that battle scene in the last episode was out of this world and really worth him getting all those heatstrokes filming it.
The Legend of Shenli for one👀 I am watching a few mini dramas atm too which are quite funny. I had this + 2…
I watched the trailer and might give it a try because I liked the story but I don’t think that I can bear the ML. Absolutely nothing about him says ethereal beauty of an ancient god and these looks were an important point in the novel.
In defense of the FL, I have to write this ....The actress voice and appearance can be misleading. The Fl’s…
Yeah, people nowadays tend to be shallow and in need of instant gratification. So dramas with a slow burn romance or a mystery that isn’t resolved until the last episode don’t seem to fare well. Like this one reviewer, dropping the drama at ep. 18 which would be perfectly fine if s/he didn’t like it, but then complaining that the mastermind was never revealed 🤣🤣🤣. I mean, seriously?
19-20 tomorrow. Then two more episodes on Wednesday and two on Thursday.
Yeah, I think they’re damaging their own product with these scheduling politics. Once the momentum is gone, people just wander off… Not everyone can or wants to buy their express package. Luckily I was born with a lot of patience, so I’m looking forward to tonight.
I dropped this 3 days ago but I finished watching White Cat Legend which is pretty good; currently watching Eternal…
I just couldn’t stand the idiotic SML and all the stereotypical dumbwits in White Cat Legend. Too much slapstick and screaming about for my taste. I’ve just saw that Above the Rivers drops tonight after being on ice for nearly two years. Even though I normally don’t watch modern dramas I will give this a try for avenge and to see how China handles environmental drama. It’s the first of its kind…
I actually think the novel has it well-balanced. There's lots of poignant moments, no needless over-the top love…
Give the scriptwriters some credit. They always manage to slip in a few of their favourite tropes, like misunderstandings, love triangles or evil sisters even if the novel had none of that.
No, I’m also waiting for the subs… gives me some time to finish reading the novel.
Yes, the novel is quite well written. It is quite serious, but has some funny bits, mainly in the form of sarcasm. The relationship between the ML/FL is completely different and the actual romance is very, very slow. There is a lot more happening than just the West Canal collapse, with many interesting side characters. I’m going to write up a summary of it once I’ve finished reading/ watching so that there will be a real comparison. I agree with you regarding the promotional trailer. It really made me fear the worst. I hate slapstick comedy!
I have ‘Flame’ (because of Jeremy Tsui’s guest role), Legend of Shen Li and In Blossom (rumored to drop…
I watched 4 episodes but then dropped it. I just cannot stand dramas where all the action takes place in barely lit rooms with everyone wearing dark colours. It simply was too strenuous for my eyes.
There will be “Flame” some time this month. It’s a Wuxia with Jeremy Tsui in a guest role so I will be giving that a try… Also, on 18th March there will be Legend of Shen Li. It’s a xianxia. I read the book and I have some serious doubts regarding the casting of the ML (absolutely nothing about him says otherworldly beauty as described in the novel), but I will still watch a few episodes to see what they made of the story.
Until then, I will probably watch some short length dramas or catch up on my long list of dramas to watch…
I don’t get how the rating system works! Every episode has been rated over 8, but the overall rating is less…
I think at this point, nobody gets how it works and how a few antis can mess up the rating despite the majority of people being very positive about the drama. I guess there is an automatic deduction of points for the lack of idol boys… 🤬
