This will require a lot of imagination on the part of the viewership š Kind of like when they dress up women in menās clothes and then NOBODY can recognise them anymore šššš
I watched up to 20 minutesWhat the fuck was all that bullshit? Is the MC a fucking CCTV? How the hell does he…
Believe it or not, there are actually people in this world who are that observant. They catch every single detail about the people around them without even trying. So no, the writerās head isnāt filled with BS it seems to be only your head/mouth that is filled with expletives š
It looks like theyāve turned this into a comedy. Iām really not too keen on all the slapstick sound effects.Iā…
I donāt think so, they probably donāt have the time for that. Jeremy has a lot of talent for comedy, so hopefully this will make me forget that really it wasnāt meant to be funny.
I hope itāll be on all Tencent platforms. Nice trailer: https://weibo.com/2591595652/

Yes, I agree. I donāt mind if they have to change some things, but I hate it when they mess up a good novel.…
Iām reading it at the moment. Iām only on chapter 54 and so far no bitches, no triangles, no amnesia. The ML/FL had a past life relationship that ended tragically (he coerced her into becoming his mistress and fell in love with her, but she never did and left him as soon as she could to marry someone else, he then did aged 27). He remembers bits and pieces from the past life through dreams, but she doesnāt. Whenever she cries he feels pain in his heart, which is why we see him clutching his chest in the trailer. There are no direct antagonists so far, but there is a lot of palace politics due to the usual struggles between the Crown Prince and the other princes. As a prosecutor of the Supreme Court he also gets to work on fighting criminals which means the novel is not just focused on their relationship. I hope they keep it that way in the drama version.
Except for the ML, it feels like everyone and their mother is dubbed here, a bit weird, its actuallly fairly decente…
I wouldnāt mind the dubbing if the voices werenāt so unpleasantly exaggerated. This very much reminds me of some Italian films where everyone just screams about at the same time and you end up with a headache after 15 min.
Well, this is a very silly show. The story so far is mildly entertaining but the silly, exaggerated voices are rather tiresome. The cat is quite cute and funny despite the rather bad CGI. Overall, itās ok to watch but nothing special and certainly nothing to justify the current 8.3 rating. It proves once again my point that all you need is a bunch of cute boys to get the MDL rating to shoot skywards.
Despite the wonky title I gave this a try and watched 5 episodes. If gawking at a cute-looking ML is all you need to enjoy a drama then this one is for you. I on the other hand found the whole premise of the drama somewhat disturbing. A tale of love and loyalty? More like a tale of abuse and humiliation paired with obsession. Iām out!
How can a show starring Zhou Yi Wei and Zhang Rou Yan be rated only 8.3.I donāt believe it.Must be another bogus…
It is! In my opinion the main reason for the ālowā rating is the lack of pretty idol boys that usually drive the rating on MDL to be inflated no matter how bad the acting/production/plot is. For comparison, as there were no new episodes in the past few days I was bored and had a look at Douluo Continent which is rated 8.4 on MDL and I was shocked at how incredibly bad this is. Large parts of each episode are wasted on nonsensical dialogue with meaningless side characters and the acting is questionable to say the leastā¦
Here, the emperor is still alive. Wu Zetian's real power comes later, as empress dowager and regent, and after…
Very interesting! Thank you for the background information. It confirms once again why I really dislike Confucianism as a philosophy. It has been used to discredit and infantilise women through the ages and its repercussions can still be felt today.
Can someone edit and rearrange the cast, isn't Alen fang as liu Yan is an important and one of top character?…
I once tried to add cast members to a drama and was told by a moderator that you need to provide an external link to confirm the information. So I guess for as long as the production team hasnāt published the official cast list this wonāt be changed.
I can say that the best acting award here goes to the emperor. The way he portrays having a stroke with his drooping…
Thatās what it looks like when real actors embody a role. Most people are so used to pretty boys trying to squeeze a micro-expression out of their plastified faces that this feels very unusual, but it really shouldnāt be.
Iām quite sure heāll make an effort to fulfill your wishā¦
The FL is another one of those starlets who go from newbie straight to main roles and it does not inspire me with confidence. Iāve never seen her in anything, but comments on Douban were less than complimentary. Letās hope that at least the script is good.
