Yes, the last project was the guest role as emperor in Feng Ying Ran Mei Xiang and he wrapped filming on 1st May. He is now officially retired from acting and has not been seen since. I think there may be some promotional appearances in the future for Love of Nirvana which is rumoured to be airing at the end of June and for Shui Long Yin as these are usually part of the contract for the role.

I very much like the colours and cinematography. It reminds me of the good Wuxia dramas of old. Why did they keep this locked in the basement for so long? Did they lose the map to its location?

Sadly ageism is rampant on MDL. You can spot it easily when people always accuse the ML of being too old, but never consider that from another point of view the FL might be considered too young. As you rightly point out, these scenes may be uncomfortable for both of them and while these younger actresses may benefit from the experience of their acting partner, there is absolutely nothing in it for the actor who gets settled with the trainee. Already now they are latching on to the publicity for SLY as if it was their doing, conveniently forgetting that they didn’t want Jeremy to take this role in the first place. I’m afraid his break will be longer than most people hope/expect.
Allow them sufficient time for post production and the result will be even better. I know 2025 seems like a long wait, but it’s nice look forward to this.

Hmh… in that case you may want to approach this one with caution. If they stay true to the novel underneath the calculating and dominant Pei Yan there is a sad and lonely boy with a broken heart, all duty and no joy. It will be great to see Jeremy give justice to this complicated character, but at the same time, watching him, we will suffer 😢😢😢
