Saying he looks like her uncle implies heās too old - saying she looks like his niece implies sheās too young. There is a difference. Yes, I may be a tad overly sensitive to this because Iām getting sick and tired of the obsession with age that gets actors/actresses accused of being too old as soon as theyāre past 25. If people cared half as much about acting skills we might be getting better dramas.

Yeah, ageism is rampant here on MDL. I get it that many viewers are very young, but why would they only want to see actors of their age group? WhennI was a teenager I had many favourite that were of my parentās or even grandparentās generation. There is no age in good acting. No, not at all. This isnāt a revenge drama, more political intrigue with some past-life mystery thrown in. The ML finds out that she married another guy in the past life, but he knows that itās because he treated her badly, so in this life he is trying hard to win her over so she doesnāt leave him. I donāt know why she stabs him in the first life, this bit wasnāt in the novel where he died of poisoning (and a broken heart) in the first life.

It starts off with a bang and the mystery is very intriguing. In the first two episodes the pace is good but it somehow slows down a lot in ep. 3. I like the political intrigue and Liu Yu Ningās poker face. He just never disappoints when it comes to charisma. The gaga-bleating female and the childish attempts at romance feel totally superfluous and rather annoying. I went to do the washing up while they were talking and Iām sure I havenāt missed anything. Somehow, with their similar hairstyles all the guys (minus LYN) look alike and I have trouble telling them apartā¦
