The time frame is very strange there is more than a year between the less and most recent, which often plays to the advantage of the most recent.
Seen all these performances and they were solid. Lim Yoona is in fairness underneath but her acting has really improved so I am not disappointed to see her here. Seeing her winning with this competition would be a surprise. Immense Respect for ė°•ķ•“ģ„  she has a point for being in the last drama but this one is between ź¹€ź³ ģ€ and ė°•ė³“ģ˜.
Dear x wasn’t appealing to me I still need to watch it to judge if ź¹€ģœ ģ „ģ˜ acting was good. Playing psycho can easily be very clichĆ©

Not sure to which comment you replied. I haven’t suggested her motivations. I just said based upon a discussions with Koreans that boundary weren’t the same as in western countries.
The joke mentioned was my teacher’s siblings barging in bathroom younger and not the character here
make joke.
…maybe the reply was for someone’s else

reminder that this drama is a melodrama NOT a romcom, i dont know what you guys were expecting from this lol
Melodrama is mostly a tone not a fixed storyline. Melodrama is supposed basically just to appeal to strong emotions.
I don’t think that romcom is even a genre that Koreans really cover on tv they do romance which doesn’t have all the comedy aspect and the lightness of a romcom.
Maybe people were expecting a more compelling story. Some thing they can relate to.

Oh no. I was expecting to love this one regardless of the low ratings and bad feedbacks. I Love jTBC (SLL) dramas, love the OST, love the Korean countryside, love slice of life, the cast is full of good actors…but I have to admit after watching 4 episodes that I am so bored. The story has lost his appeal very fast.
I don’t understand why they have to tell that often those melodrama stories where one character is stuck in time after a break up. Yeah it takes time to heal but at 20 you have plethora of opportunities you move on, you explore possibilities…In that scenario what I dislike the most, the woman ends up being the bad guy all the time. One, that depiction is so far from real life as women are more in touch with their emotions, more willing to sacrifice themselves for the love one. There is no need to make woman the vilain to hype the male character. It’s a very weird mind game to discourage women to hype the female character.
A reunion story is possible even if people since
have licked their wound and move on. I don’t think true love is having one unique person. It’s having amongst the loves experienced one that is stronger, brighter and fulfill you more
than others, maybe one that requests less compromises and allow you to be fully yourself. It does not mean that you did not
love the other one(s) just it’s a different kind of intensity.
I feel that vision, so exclusive is kinda immature 약간 ģ‹øģš” and too out of touch.

She is the head of the household, she is also older that gives her authority on him. We had a nice discussion during Korean class and the teacher was surprised to learn in western countries that parents knock at the door of the kids and bedrooms were everybody own sanctuary.

the moment the qm visited grand prince i-an ...it felt so wrong (like qm knows no boundary also by which rite…
In a Korean household there is no boundaries and parents don’t knock at door before entering in bedroom. There is not real sense of privacy among family members I believe it was an attempt to show that royal family is like every Korean family.

It's the haters of the cast who are doing that so don't bother that and watch it it's so good like cast the acting…
So your propaganda is in good faith and other’s opinion hate. How does that even make sense?

I just agree with your review. I absolutely think the marriage contract troupe is so bland and not convincing…
I had issue with that do. Why both of them bother to such marriage.
For me as she is an illegitimate child she act tough but deep down she has an I inferiority complex. Marring the most eligible man of the country is her only way as woman to be on top as her successful career isn’t enough for her family. Value of a woman is still connected to how well she can marry in Korea.
For him aside getting an alley I don’t see valide reason to do it aside the fact of being single in Korea is seen as an anomaly. …why with her?….but they gonna say that he has been secretly in love with her since the archery encounter….

is it good! cause am not feeling it... not from the trailers actually, but then it is just an opinion based on…
The trailer is pretty faithful to the drama. Expected. If you have better on your watchlist skip, it’s not the drama of the century.
If you have nothing else, it’s watchable

North-Europeans don’t have it on Disney+ but in the South we have it. I remember reading something in German from Disney so I am pretty certain that Germany is covered too.

I was very invested at the beginning but went bored by the end.
I really liked the friendship between the young women, who had nothing in common aside that entreprise, how they allied forces to untangle everything.
Unpopular opinion maybe, but women’s friendship and sisterhood aren’t portraited enough in Asian content. Too often women are arch nemesis just to get more attention or the love of a stupid boy. It’s a pity. Pure result of patriarchy, women alone are danger-less ; allied powerful!
The rhythm was good so I would not connect my decrease of interest with the length.
Maybe the 3 weeks break I took played a part, I just had moved on to other stories, other characters and decorum’s. The end was also a bit messy and I don’t do well with mess.
Nonetheless, I am happy to have seen a drama where young women focus on something else than cute boys, but have goals, plans and talents. I am also proud of Koreans to be willing to watch the difficult moments of their history. I haven’t watch Typhoon’s family yet, but I am not bothered that they made 2 dramas about the IMF crisis during the same years. The two don’t look like similar, with the same tone or with the same angle to me. Those events were also so crucial for Koreans that I perfectly understand the need to re-enact and explain. (without that crisis maybe we wouldn’t be watching kdramas today in each corner of the planet). In Europe we do hundred of movies/series about the same events and we still find new and compelling ways to relate World War II or the Great Depression.
Not every country especially in Asia is willing to do it, revisit the past especially we screwed up or weren’t on top the game. Telling glories is an easy task, revisiting the darks is an arduous job. And that’s exactly why for me, Korean dramas surpass their neighbors’s. By being more honest and more diverse.

So, you never google stuff right? Cause that’s also asking ā€œfakeā€ something for advise… Unless you search…
I totally understand what you are saying. It doesn’t make sense to ask robots about a real person. Never understood people that put on Google search « what to offer to my boyfriendĀ Ā», « Should I break up with my boyfriendĀ Ā». As if Google knows their boyfriend. Now they do that with chatGP and other AIs.

Title Boyfriend on Demand Spoiler
Hanging to my dear life to finish this the last episode.
I decided to watch this only for ģœ ģøė‚˜ I did not had much expectations but I still managed to be disappointed.
The acting is below average the two leads are the worst and incapable to portrait real emotions. Crying scĆØne were the worst, like kids crocodile’s tears. I literally watch two people watching themselves acting. They felt so fake. The support cast did not had enough screen time, substance, storyline to balance.
I was highly bothered by the constant music, the cutsy, comic punches, chimes… sounds were annoying and there were too little often and too many of them. Sound effects don’t make stuff funny, they can only support something that is already there, if it’s cringe they make it even cringier.
At 15 I might had like this, but as and adult it felt immature, shallow and stupid to me. Surface-leveled to the least. I rarely like those adaptions from comics and webtoons, I gonna add this one to the long list and accept that I am not the target audience for that kind of content . The characters had zero personality (no goals, no ambition,..even her fear of communĆ©ment was surface-leveled, that guy only existence was his attraction for her). We know nothing important about them. They just going around some kind of fantasy. That story looks like something written by someone in her early 20 that has little to no experience real life and so cannot write something with a tiny bit of depth and truth. I know there is a big community in kdrama that only need comfort but real comfort isn’t in absence of reality. It’s how you accept, deal life by finding pleasure in real things. The main character start to have a tiny bit of awakening towards the end but it felt the story should have start with that.
Visually very hard to say it was not beautiful but it felt like everything was directed and filtered by an Instagram influencer. That drama had months of delay they probably during 6 months edited image per image to remove any sense of realness. Fake: it is again the feeling that gave me the photography, the lighting, the set design. Seeing life in pink isn’t literally getting every pink accessories you can find, putting pink everywhere…
Hard watch but if you can put your brain in your pocket for 10 hours you would be fine.

i wish they linked the actual article because i feel like some nuance may have been lost between what was said…
You speak mandarin? Lucky you!
As we often say translation is a little treason. Very hard to translate perfectly either you distort the original content or either the translation don’t perfectly fit the new culture. It’s regularly impossible to have both right.
