But this will be a thriller drama not a romcom, but even if it was a romcom she can pull off a comedy role and…
I don’t recall her being funny on Nokdu. She male lead was but she pissed all the time…I have no recollection of what her face looks like when she smiles. I never said romcom which for me isn’t even a proper term for KDramas… That drama has also too many labels in term of genre to be certain now without a trailer about the real major style for now…MBC outside their makjangs does more romances than any other style since they stopped doing the big sageuks like before. Based on the network and what I have read about that drama for me that it’s is in the same category as When the phone rings…mostly a romance with a little hint of dark atmosphere
This looks like it will be thriller/melo, not romcom, so you seem confused.
Maybe. I’ve seen somewhere else romance and that she will form a couple with Song Kang. As it’s on MBC too…I still wonder what it’s the dominant genre of the drama. What I wish for her it is to play the mean stiff woman and don’t form on screen couple as it is blatant for me that she is uncomfortable in those couple situations and she doesn’t portrait them very well.
Kim Sohyun is a nice woman but she isn’t made for that kind of dramas. She should do thrillers, action, melodramas…I remember how good she was as a teen actress to play mean girls. She is very cold and no warmth is getting out neither with her attitude, her voice, manners. She is also not funny a second.…I seriously doubt that Song Kang can by himself save this one.
Prime usually only has CJEMN and ENA content, a KBS content on Prime they might have signed a new deal as Prime more and more KDramas …KBS has signed early 2025 a 3-year deal with Netflix…but it looking like no KBS family drama on Netflix this year…something is going on … As we had no drama on August on Prime happy to start September with something new with a promising cast!
He seriously needs better people to select his project because he picked some of the worst movies/dramas out here thst overshadowed the few successes he had. Those actors should reduce their appearances one those crappie tv show and real tv, they always bring a full range of unnecessary fuss…stardom works best with a part of mystery and rarity…
Would a minor be named in SK? In Canada they can't release the name no matter the crime if the person is under…
I think in Korea pending on the seriousness of the crime minors can be judge as adults. It was also end of last year of high school by the time of the judgement she must have been 20 (in Korean age - 18 in a international age)
Aish Why can't Seok Jin keep his big mouth shut LoL tsk? He just had to inform dear future fil 'bout the security…
I believe as she thinks her daughter is entitled to inherit that company she is the daughter of the CEO too…it would explained why she switched the babies so smoothly
Once Again, Big, Smile You,But i get what u talking abt
He doesn’t appear on most lists of sexy 40s but he was something when they shared the screen and I feel like he is still fine …very distinguished voice, not a flower boy though
- the break to study abroad especially film making which is clearly something you learn on the field, by making…
I see what you mean by the cultural thing I wouldn’t have been that bothered for a topic more academic than film making and if I didn’t had such expectations about that drama
Clumsy and disappointing story They opened too many doors, wanted to tackle too many plots and at the end ruined nice premises…rookie mistake! - domestic violence so strong at the beginning to totally brush it under the rug like nothing…with the criminal dancing in the streets peacefully - the third couple could have been fun, a depiction of another kind and more modern type of romance but they missed to develop their stories and personalities so they remained two morons who had sex one night …who cares - second couple so full of the usual cliches about show business done 300 times before and awful acting from both of them. They had limited acting range and two facial expressions surprised and sad - Cameo of the ex-boyfriend useless and didn’t make sense. Yeah he was the eye candy from Bon Apetitite and ? So the guy succeed and never helped his ex-girlfriend, even try to introduce her to anyone in the business and she welcomes him with open-armed like a dumb dumb - the sudden cancer for a characters we know nothing about so it became such a gimmick instead of a compelling fact - the break to study abroad especially film making which is clearly something you learn on the field, by making films…it was ridiculous - the siblings that didn’t had one scene to address the news to have a sincere bond. Awful writing! I am literally pissed off because they watch their ship sink without doing anything to save it I liked only the music from the open credit, I would never watch that hong again!
HyoSun made me felt very uncomfortable most of the drama I would had rather they gave a medical explanation for her behavior (low IQ, or Alcohol use disorder) or they did less about her demeanor …been “naive”cannot fully explain the way she behaved she had more issues than that, it was Compelling story about family bonds served by good acting. I was not aligned with their overall morale but at least they had something to say. It made me miss Moon GeunYoung’s acting.
It’s wild wearing a tee-shirt “Family Reunion” and being ask to leave Who is going to kill the sweet mother Hee Jun? Hae Ra or her evil mother Mi Ran? The father is so coward that he deserves to ends up with his awful mother…
So funny last year someone made a top ten of favorite American movies in Korea. The intern was on the list and we said that’s typically a story they could have done themselves …now they are doing it. There was a very good article in the Korean Herald about why your taxis driver is that’s old in Korea. Very interesting and heartbreaking. They might create a more compelling backstory for the grandpa and he might get back to the work force by necessity more than to pass time. Retirement, pensions are very low in a Korea and old people especially men feel obligated to work until they literally die or are incapable. As a “lazy” European I believe it’s sad to see the old people working (over 67). As some point the struggle has to stop and not the day you die

The story was very different is doesn’t look like an adaptation
