I've watched 3 episodes so far, and FL has already had to be rescued 4 times. On the other hand, ML isn't one of those jerks who go out of their way to make her miserable, so that's a good thing. Overall, this feels like any other low-budget costume romantic comedy out there. I'll give it a few more episodes to see if it changes or not.

That's because the episodes they release on YouTube are compilations of the 10-mn episodes, so 1 30-mn episode = 3 10-mn episodes.

Same, it was an easy watch for me, but I expected it to tie into UN and it doesn't at all, so I'm thoroughly confused and waiting for my friend who's read the books to finish it and tell me whether it's me or the script. But they left so many loose ends that will remain forever unsolved (like Xiao Hua, for example), and that last-minute cliffhanger, too...

I honestly don't understand how this project could go to this guy. Going from his MDL page, he has next to zero experience and is pretty old (i.e. pretty conservative, probably)... And going from his work here, he clearly doesn't give a damn about 1. the source material, 2. the characters and 3. the audience... What a waste.
