I honestly don't understand how this project could go to this guy. Going from his MDL page, he has next to zero experience and is pretty old (i.e. pretty conservative, probably)... And going from his work here, he clearly doesn't give a damn about 1. the source material, 2. the characters and 3. the audience... What a waste.

I really think the problem lies in the writing. Bai Shu's a good actor (I don't know if you've seen him in Love and Redemption, but he does a fantastic job), but Wu Xie doesn't sound or act like himself imo, it's very troubling.

He's my favorite as well! He made me laugh so much in TLT2 (that "Sayonara" scene, I don't think I can ever forget it XDD)
