I think we all are. There are still many questions. I really hope that there will be a season 2, but it's 2020…
Hullo! Sorry haha my comment about TLT2 was for Xue Yin XD I enjoyed season 2 a lot personally, but I completely understand it’s not everybody’s flavor, and I have to agree that it has a lot of flaws.
Re: Tomb of the Sea, I’m clearly only there for Wu Xie, as well. He’s such a fantastic character. I just got the feeling from your comment that you were disappointed because Wu Xie had aged and his personality had changed so I thought I’d try to explain (it’s difficult to know what people do or don’t know about this series since it’s so complex). I guess I'll have to see if Li Cu takes too much space or not, but I'm not above fast-forwarding Wu-Xie-less scenes.
I see now that we have very different drama-watching habits: I usually give a show 4 episodes before seeing if I’ll go forward or not, unless it really doesn’t work for me like The Golden Eyes. But I completely understand why episode 1 of TotS wouldn’t work for you. It didn’t for me either, tbh. But Wu Xie baited me into continuing XD

Wu Xie's different because it's been almost 10 years since the first instalments of The Lost Tomb, and Xiao Ge went missing (or sacrificed himself for he and PZ, I'm not quite sure). So he's jaded and tired and older (and heartbroken). But he's still Wu Xie at his core, and I'm sure it'll show.
I think you're missing out on The Lost Tomb 2: the production quality was infinitely better than the first season, the cast was very good, and the PingXie was top notch. It also started to go a little into Xiao Ge's backstory. There were draggy parts, but the characters and the Iron Triangle dynamics more than made up for that imo. It had its faults, of course (this entire series does, tbh), but it was still a very enjoyable ride, and I personally had a lot of fun watching it. Also, I think The Lost Tomb 3 will pick up directly where The Lost Tomb 2 left off, so you might be confused if you start watching it without having seen that one.
Regarding your question about Pan Zi. There's actually Pan Zi, who's Wu Sanxing's assistant/friend/colleague, and Pang Zi's, Wu Xie's friend who nicknames himself Fatty Wang. I was confused about it at first, too, but they're not the same person.
No, if you want to watch chronologically, you'd have to watch Mystic Nine first since it takes place 50 years before The Lost Tomb.
Then The Lost Tomb, The Lost Tomb 2, Tomb of the Sea, and The Lost Tomb Reboot. All with the same characters (Wu Xie, Xiao Ge, Pang Zi, Wu Sanxing, etc.) but always with a different cast.
The Lost Tomb 3 is in production right now, and takes place between The Lost Tomb 2 and Tomb of the Sea.
And more Dramahttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXBPR2M4q54Can someone explain to me what is actually happening…
Hey!
From what I understood from Twitter, rumors came out that Shi Mei had more scenes with Mo Ran and a potential romance with him (or something of the like).
It's something very similar to what happened with "The Untamed", when it was leaked that the screenwriters had made Wen Qing into Wei WuXian's love interest and planned for her to be in a love triangle with the YunmengJiang brothers.
In "Immortality's" case, the screenwriter wrote on Weibo (I think) to ask the audience to please trust them and that everything was going to be fine.
This is very, very summarized ^^ I tend to stay away from the drama. Please keep in mind that a lot of this came from rumors.
Is this gonna air in the U.S. because I just saw the trailer and it looks good and I really want to see it.
I'm not American so I can't say for sure, but it seems to me that most dramas don't air in the US. You can find them on streaming sites such as Viki, though.
Also remember that is just the first part so all those loose threads are going to up together again. All these…
Agreed! And I loved seeing him lay waste to his enemies so much! I adore the Iron Triangle, but Wu Xie doesn't get to showcase his skills and pettiness as much when he's with them, simply because they're here to do it for him. I was a bit dubious when the new arc started, but the payoff was infinitely satisfying, and it makes me sad that some people will never get to see that because they want only PingXie or only Xiao Ge.
Theres a s2 which consists of 34 eps. They will air it soon but no announcement when exactly. Somehow one of the…
Both Zhu Yi Long and Huang Jun Jie hinted at a September release, but there hasn't been a confirmation yet. The trailer is on the IQIYI Coming Soon section, however, so that's promising.
It mentioned before when they first found out about wuxie's health state, uncle erbai just want Wu xie to take…
Just goes to prove how little WX's family really knows him, in the end. Be it in this season or The Lost Tomb 2, his uncles keep trying to stop him from doing stuff "for his own good" when it's obvious that keeping things from him is just gonna make him do things his own way, behind their backs.
At episode 20 and for what was a roller coaster story has become a one act show with WX. Not sure i want to subject…
I honestly think it's worth it: although the transition is a little slow since you're suddenly in a very different place with its very own set of rules, Wu Xie gets to showcase his wits, sarcasm and pettiness. I love to see him put his strengths to use separately from the rest of the Iron Triangle: it's really his time to shine.
Also, I thought the payoff was very satisfying, but of course that's only my opinion.
This show is such a gem. I've watched up to episode 9 and it's incredible so far. The characters are very well-written, the lighting and music are beautiful (the atmosphere kinda reminds me of Daredevil with a dash of Prison Break), and the plot is gripping and intense. Also, for those who were wondering, the IQIYI subtitles are very good quality for this one.
A word of warning for blood, open wounds, firearms, and drugs, however.
