SOMEONE SAID THIS ON REDDIT AND I'M LAUGHING AT 2AM HELP"The new Lu Wuyi actually doesn't know that much.…
It seems silly. Some people who wrote reviews about it might even seem to say, “Oh, just time travel and resolve everything.”
But as they pointed out, it is really his “A-Wu.” ?
Does the destination matter more than the journey?
If everything that happened was just an illusion, and you simply woke up from a fleeting dream, with no memories or experiences left behind, is that person still you?
I am under impression there is whole army of people trying to tank this drama. Very sad, because it is very good…
I never watch PA so I cannot compare, but even then when you compare to other drama of recent year... for example Pursuit of Jade.
I know they aren't the same but one is much better then the other. And I think it largely comes down to the fact that you see the journey from start to finish.
I really believe everyone who havent should read the novel
It really is Chu Qiao’s journey: she goes from a slave born into an unfair world, finding hope in Yan Xun and believing he cared about her ideals and ideas → becoming disillusioned with the world and questioning whether it was her arrogance to think she could change it → Chu Qiao finally live truly for herself at the end of the novel
Zhao Che tells Zhuge Yue in the novel: “Know what you truly want, and live life once for yourself.”
This leads to one of my favorite moments in the novel. As Zhuge Yue shortly answer this question with his action
And Chu Qiao also answers this question at the end of the novel.
And I think it is such an important message because so many characters in both the novel and the drama are trapped by power struggles, obligations, family bonds, and the burdens of status. They spend their whole life chasing power, revenge, or duty, only to lose themselves in the process.
No problem ! The drama try alot to build connection with the novel, like for example In the drama in Xing Me, Zhuge Yue ask Chu Qiao to run away with him and travel the world and maybe open an Inn or something.
She actually did that in the novel ! by herself actually lol, this was shortly after the ice lake incident and reunion with Zhuge Yue in the novel.
I think you can tell from what I've posted in the past that I'm more focused on the theme and the message that the story conveys.
Not that I don't appreciate the more intimate moments of a Drama or story/novel.
Ji Ling falling for LWY in the original time line was largely due to his loneliness, that lead him to creating Puppet JL who inadvertently meet LWY
and of course LWY being created and manipulated by JY to get close to JL.
Im gonna watch Fate Chooses You.

it a page now in google doc, just haven't finish it cause of the roller-coaster of all the following episode.
So I havent touch it
As the memories of the drama flash before my eyes everytime I listen to it
"Watch It"
Yan Xun doesnt appear that much in the novel after the icy lake
I know they aren't the same but one is much better then the other.

You will like it, let just say certain thing will never pass censorship
But you can pick up from chapter 194 (Ice Lake) > 279 actual ending chapter 280-292 is extra side story.
