We were all expecting some "Grand conspiracy or ultra villain" and what we got was Prince Sui ranting in weired voice, like he is about crap his pants and barely holding it in. Whoever did his finale dubbing did him dirty. I have a felling the original story was told from FL perspective, but script writer spent his whole effort on improving (already complex) ML character and that's why FL character was suffering from "main lead syndrome" (she had all the attributes associated with the main character of show but lacked the depth). CXZ was the man of this show, who portrayed this layered character flawlessly without making any major mistakes, FL was hit and miss. I have a feeling story was supposed to portray complex emotions, but WCR is new to "Lead" roles and failed to capture essence of the character. So far story and finale were very anticlimactic, and I don't know if it was due budget constraints or lack of creative freedom/direction. We had 2 coups and 3 wars, but still haven't seen a proper war scene with lines of soldiers charging at each other. Too reiterate, story and cast had alot of potential but too much time was wasted on portraying cliche tropes and less on actual narrative. Its one of those shows, which managed to ride the "Hype train" on shoulders of cliche loving mass audience but lefts no after taste in mouth and have very low rewatchable potential and general public won't remember it for long. Ohh I have watched ep 13 and agree with your take, she shouldn't have handed over everything to her and there was no need to tell SFL about the whole fake marriage thing. FL bowed to Consort Dowager three times and didn't do the other two and they didn't drink cross armed wine even either. FL is supposed to present the tea to Consort Dowager/parents in the morning after waking up, where woman gang up on new bride to harass her. Was there any specific place to cut people hair?
