I have also watched 6 episodes and you can't compare it with "Double" cuz apart from superb acting by the main FL lead. There was clear cut reasoning behind objectives, balanced screenplay and believable acting. Yes, there were few problems with the script like ML using "Freaking fan to fight Full armoured and experienced assassins" but the show did correct them like, ML decided to use proper sword to fight full armoured soldiers in the war. The double was a singular entity with no adaptation to compare it with but unfortunately with this one, we have its masterpiece sequel "TBOY" and that has sealed the show from the get go! To me it's an 8 show so far cuz of the acting and unreasonable plot, sorry to this but Neo is newbie and its very unfair for him to be compared with the likes of WJY and LYX, both of these not only experienced but phenomenal actors/actress in their own right and its not just Neo. You better believe WJY can outmatch and outclass the famous actress like Bai Lu, Lusi and all the young gen class...Neo as much as like him ain't them !

"Not having girlfriends just mean he's not in a committed relationship and it's left to viewers interpretation" I told you before, there was confirmation in the drama. He was virgin and I know he didn't acted like one in sex scenes cuz freaking writer of the drama omitted his past relationship but kept the remaining story from the novel. He should edited the whole thing to make it believable and kept the leads age difference (ML was like 29 and FL was 24 fresh out of college), that would have explained FL amateur behaviour in relationships.

You may have enjoyed it but drama rating was low cuz people didn't like it !

ZLH was/is a great actor and people frustration with TPR isn't due to the fact, its a bad drama as per say cuz there have been a lot worse. Its due to the fact we see ZJM and ZLH acting potential, environment creation, complicated plot and grandeur. The raw frustration comes from the fact, what it could have been but made trash due to someone's obsession with one character and this sentiment is also shared by people in mainland china. They didn't went after the leads and specifically tolled producers and editors ! in-fact ZLH is the only actor in TPR cast, whose fanbase grow tremendously after TPR but we still can't deny the fact, story and motives lacked cohesion. They were just friends and ML had no girlfriend in his ten years in germany. The Lili old b.f told it to FL during some episode, it was also brought up during their conversation between them......you are confusing it with novel. ML in novel did had numerous flings in Germany and ZDL was in "Friends with benefits relationship with ML" but all those relationships were omitted/removed from the drama and he was properly made "VIRGIN" in order to appease certain demographics and I challenge you to provide one famous c-drama in 2024, where woman apologized ever !
