What with the hatred for the fls in cdramas, i have come upon comments hating on fls in many xukai dramas, many pretending to be his fans and giving a bad impresson on his fans as a whole, and we're being called toxic, who's doing this because most of xukai's fan are sensible, and if you don't like the fl you are welcome to watch something else, it's getting annoying with the hate train just for ridiculous reason.

I think that's your problem and has nothing to do with the genre. These dramas are written for women, and women nowaday have lots if things on their mind other than just romance or to live for a man, that's a thing in the past and you should accept that. If you like dramas with a traditional wife you better look for historical genre or dramas that were produced in the 90s, in those days most women don't have a career and her only job is being a housewife. If you noticed in this drama the fl's mother is a housewife and looks at how she became unsatisfied due to her husband is not capable and always worried about money. The ex's boyfriend mother was a housewife also, but she wasn't much of a mother because her children were both lazy and are not capable, and can only relies on their dad for their inheritance. The sister became a shrew after she got married because she ŵas jealous of her own brother because he could marry for love. The husband has a mistress outside of marriage eventhough the wife was devoted to him. See what i'm saying women should have their own careers before they're thinking of marriage so they can provide for themselves rather than relies on their husband like mao who went through a divorce and got her creation stolen by her husband because she became his assistant after their marriage, the fl has always been caring, if she was nice to her ex, her family, her best friend than to the man she loves she will treats him even more special. When they were not dating, she was the first to call him family beside his grandmother. And since they're living with her parents, it's her mother who will take care of all his needs like cooking and cleaning. Both of them are career minded, it's not just her who is caring about her career, he is the same. The different in the two of them is the fl is testing out her independent from her mother, the ml is the opposite he has finally realizes family is the most important than gains. The both of them values family so there's no question they will put their children when they do have a family of their own above their careers due to their own experiences.

There is no proof of what you said that she treated her ex better than ml, her ex was a bum who has lots of times on his hands waiting for fl to find time for him since she was always busy with work, ml on the other hand is just as busy with his own work, so both of them get off work together and always find time to spend together, this is what i call a mature romance. What you said about anyone could do the same for ml if his father died, is that so putting his father at her hotel and letting him live there for free, or helping him mend fences with his father, or sitting outside of his room the whole night while he was grieving in his room.. She didn't get jealous when she was told by her mother of seeing him spending time with another girl, leaving the light on for him when he comes home late. All these things that she did for him showing her caring nature.

With ml, fl has always been supportive and loving, she lets ml's dad stay at her hotel and helped him mend his relationship with his father. She was there for him when his father passaway. She left the light on for him when he came home at night. And just because she has a career doesn't mean she doesn't care about her family, both she and ml left work and stay at her mother hometown to take care of her mother and she learns to cook a dish her mother like. Just because she loves work doesn't means she can't balance work and family. Ml is lucky to find someone like fl who is so loving and supportive. Yes the relationship is mature and and it's expected they will get marry in the future. Before she dated her ex for three years and she was pressured by her mother to get marry that's why she went through with it, here her parents and best friend and brother all support their relationship unlike the relationship with her ex. Also they both have just been together for like a year, they don't need to rush into marriage right away like many couples in this day and age who live together for many years before getting marry. It's already an improvement that the mother is not pressuring her daughter to get marry like she was in the past just because she turns 30. Mch has becomes a boss and is always busy with work, so she's putting off their marriage while we see yzm is ready to settle down that why we hear him saying he's ready for marriage. Still the decision to get marry is between the two of them, they both have to be ready for it to work, so i think this is to show the changes in the both of them from when they were first introduced. True the drama's focus has always been about family, if you're watching only for romance then it might not be for you.

If you don't like the actress then don't watch the drama. I find her character is very cute and innocent, not a waste of time in my opinion since i watched this drama twice.

They started out as sibling but eventually realizes their feelings for each other. The drama is focuses more on family and friendship than romance, but romance is also prominence just not in your face because both of their characters are very young.

She left because she didn't want to burden her family because of her illness. I can understand that, the mom was under lots of stress over her illness. It was through going to her mother's hometown that the daughter started to understood her mom better and helped her find joy in life again so she has the strength to fight her illness. This is a family drama and the end makes it clear the drama focuses on both the mother and daughter's relationships, but it's not just about them, it's also about the family as a whole from the grandparents to the parents to the brother and sister and their own relationships. I didn't have a problem with this because i knew from the very beginning this drama was adapted from a novel and in novel romance was secondary.

I watched it for their romance and i like it, and the mother did change for the better. Also there's no love triangle, the fl broke up with her ex before she get together with ml.

I think it just to show yzm's craving for a family, a place where he belongs. It seems to me yzm holding sunflowers i thought they were meant for grandmother, but then when he gave it to grandma she gave him a puzzle glance like she didn't expect them, so i thought maybe the flowerss were meant for mch but she rejected them 🤔. Also in the drama it was interesting how mch's father was interested in gardening and not mch's mother. Later he gave yzm a bucket of flowers, and yzm started to tending to the flowers after that, i wonder what's the significant of that, to show him finally transforming into a family man?

The ending fizzle out, but it has a good premise. Xukai character is very mature in this drama, you can try watching a few eps to get a feel for the drama to see whether you will like it.

After listening to all the osts, i think i understand why the drama has that title, the best choice ever for mch is breaking up with her ex boyfriend and putting their relationship in the past to start over anew. The best choice ever for yzm is to choose family over gains as his garandmother wanted for him and hope for him ^^

I really like how mch's mother adopt yzm as her son and starts calling him ming ming. I always like her scenes with yzm. Those people who called her greedy probably never meet anyone who are truly greedy. Everything she did was for her daughter, she went about it the wrong way, but it still come from her being an overprotective parent and doesn't want her daughter to suffer in life due to being poor and have to always struggle for money. This is not being greedy, it's just a very old fashion thinking, in the old way the only way for a woman to have a good aspect if she's poor is to marry up, many women had done this because they have no other way out and they're being pushed by their parents and not all of them are greedy but just want the best for their daughter being they can't provide for them.

That puzzle thst yzm was solving we later saw he completed it and it turned out to be a house on a lake, is that his dream house, i wonder if grandma knew about his wish that is why she left him a house instead of the hotel to give him a family. That scene at the funeral when grandma recorded herself and she begins to cry when she told yzm she has always been worried for him and hope for him to not becomes a stray anymore is so touching 😢
