Many who became xukai fans like his dramas after yanxi palace, and in my opinion xukai acting has gotten much better after yanxi palace especially after legend. Your comment saying story of yanxi palace was his best role is your opinion, i find his roles in his later dramas are just as good or even better especially in his character in ouatilm, alp, court lady, arsenal military academy, falling into your smile, sahph, etc.

I asked how many modern dramas of these actors did you watched, not that they didn't do modern dramas because i don't remember any other modern dramas of luo yun xi that gotten as popular as love is sweet or allen ren modern dramas that were popular. Allen ren was more known for his historical dramas not for modern dramas. That one drama with bailu the modern one wasn't as popular as the historical one, and the only reason why it wasn't a flopped was because it was connected to the historical one.

Xukai looks so good in suits in this drama. Xukai in an interview said his clothes changed to show his character underwent a transformation from wearing business suit to more casual wear ^^

What modern role of luo yunxi and allen ren are you talking about, i only know of one drama of luo yunxi that would be popular is love is sweet, the one with bailu because of the romance rather than the business side. And i only know allen ren got popular due to his historical drama under the power with seven tan and not for modern drama. How many modern roles of these actors have you watched to make such a statement or comparison. Did you check xukai's falling into your smile, it's still number 1 on netflix in some countries, or the number of views on viki. It's the only chinese modern drama with the most viewerships on viki, that speak of how popular that drama is. It was that drama and alp that xukai got lots of praise and international fame, and he became tencent ambassador with international recognition. Also i suspected you don't watch many dramas of xukai as you claimed because xukai has other dramas that are well received for his acting not just story of yanxi palace like arsenal military academy, the legend, once upon a time in lingjian moutain, falling into your smile, alp, wonderland of love and recently bce.

Just ignore that person, he/she is unually obsess with xukai, if xukai is a bad actor just ignore him, but this person has been starting a fight in this drama section just with everyone who has a different opinion than them.

I said they were lucky to get pick for the role that gotten them famous at that age, is that not so. Talent can only get you so far, it also depends on luck. Xukai has said he wants to play many interesting roles like police officer, undercover agent or an antagonist role but he still hasn't gotten them. Xiao zhan and wang yibo gotten popular from their role in the untamed and already doing movies roles and have more choices of scripts, isn't that not luck. And i don't see a need to compare allen ren and luo yun xi since i don't have an urge to watch their dramas, every actor has their own advantages, there is no need for comparison, in term of acting xukai has play many complex characters and he will keep on improving in his acting, he doesn't needs your approval. Xukai career is not in ruin, looks at the projects he in and the different actresses he has paired and are about to pair, he's doing quite well, so you don't have to pretend to care.

It's a good drama that deal with a mother and daughter relationship. The romance is really cute but not the main focus, there's also a second couple with the brother. For annoying characters there were some in the first half, but they disappear after ep 16. Some people complain about the mom, but i find she is the driver of the plot and also very funny.

Agree, my mother is not as bad but she's also has the tendency to nag and she could never take any criticism. Even my sister who is older would get into an argument with her because they don't see eye to eye even though she has married and is much older than mch. Still we're a family and love our mom even if she is set in her way and that will not change.

I agree with lots of the things you wrote here, and that's how i see xukai too. He was the only actor i will watch any dramas of his regardless of the actress, for other actors it depend on the dramas and whether i'm in the mood ^^

That depend on the characters he is given, if the character was childish then he played him childish, if the character was mature then he played him mature. You complained about his acting as being boring but surpringly xukai was the only actor that could get my attention from watching all of his dramas compare to those other actors who i seen in their other dramas. For example luo yunxi, i saw him in ashes of love but i didn't have much of an impression of him other than he played a good guy turn bad. So that depend on the audience also.

That good to know they were lucky and gotten good roles that shot them to stardom, not all actors got that chance due to all the good roles go to the more popular idols. Good to know bailu went for the popular route, she only got noticed after her pairing with xukai, and then later paired with both luo yun xi and allen ren who were both more popular than her. Xukai did the opposite and paired with less popular actresses because he care much more about acting and wanting to learn from older actresses who were more experienced than him. He also wasn't as lucky as most of the roles he were in reduced his screen times, and his dramas more focused on the entire casts rather than just him as the main lead. Recently he started to pair with more popular actresses and he will keep improve in his acting as he get more notice for his acting rather for his good look.

Understanding that those actors are older who has lots more acting experiences, i haven't seen you compare other actors to them, so why are you comparing xukai. Also let not pretend here the toxic fanbase that you complained are mostly bailu fans who can't accept xukai pairing with other actresses, why are you talking to me i like zhou dong yu and love his chemistry with her, but it's true alp was such a good drama but got lots of haters to damage the drama reputation by bashing the actress, and xukai was also bashed for his look because they can't bashed their acting. Xukai is still young, he still has lots of time for improvement in his acting, but as of now he's in the right direction and he will keeps improving. No need to worry about him, as you see his fans who love alp also love zhou dong yu and those who don't are not really his fans, but fans of other actresses.

I can also list xukai different roles, he played a prince/general, a devil son/sect leader, a young master who is carefree and narcissistic, a time traveler who loves to played pranks, a bad boy who turn good, a wastrel who became a general, a high god/an ordinary fairy, a martial artist/doctor, an orphan with no memory/a mysterious man who wear a mask, a prince/warrior/king, a young cultivator, a cold aloof ceo/a family man, a nerd/business man... Let me ask does he has range, yes he does just because those who people who have prejudice against him because they don't like the pairing does not mean he's not a good actor. I notice there're lots of bias when talking about actors, luo yun xi has paired mostly with actresses younger than him and is doing well in certain genres, there's no bias when it comes to him pairing with younger actresses, while with xukai every pairing he has, there will alway be complained about the actresses being too old for him, the actress bad acting, the actress not attractive enough. Need i go on, in conclusion it's rarely about xukai's acting but about appearances, this just speak of the kind of audiences who watched these drama, who don't truly watch the drama for plot and character devolopment but romance, xukai attract different audiences to his dramas, you don't have to like his dramas but stop making it about him because it's rarely about him.

You have a funny way of talking regarding ester yu, her character in saf6 was criticized heavily for her voice and in regarding love between fairy and devil to journey to you, xukai also experienced growth in his acting when he played in legend when his character was introverted and quiet to arsenal military academy where his character was extroverted and narcissistic. They're actors so they should be able to play different type of character.

I rate xukai acting very high since his three dramas came out in 2019, those three dramas were able to show his range and how good of an actor he's. Once upon a time in lingjian mountain was a slapstick comedy, there was little romance and it was a low budget drama but got very good rating in china because of xukai and the fl acting. There was some talk that xukai didn't need an fl in this drama, he was able to stand out on his own. Compare him to xiao zhan who was much luckier who gotten his popularity from the untamed and gotten high praise for his acting and didn't get as much criticism just because he has one drama that got really popular because it was a bl. My love for xukai is similar to those people who can't seem to stop talking about xiao zhan and wang yibo for their one drama and went about making a nuisance of themselves in praising them. Xukai has fans who love him and maybe they're not as loud, but we're loyal fans who love him for the different characters he shaped in his dramas. Don't tell me he's a bad actor just because someone said so, or someone complained he didn't pick good scrips, i like his script choices just fine, true most of his dramas might not be to their liking because they don't have romance as the center he was made to be support in many of his dramas and that's my only complained, but not everyone watch dramas for romance, so save your opinion for someone else who cares.
