He hasn't appear since ep 16, i don't think he'll appear again. Mch has move on with her life, so i doubt we get anymore appearance from him or his family. There was one ep when mch and her brother met that one guy he worked with in his last law firm and he told them a bit about the ex and his family and what happened to them. After the dad had a stroke, the mom took hold of the company, the sister got a divorced from her husband and the ex stayed home and be a bum so mch was lucky to escape that family.

Mch's parents finally found out about their dating, yzm is so smooth he got both her parents approval by just a few words. That mother saying he expect her son-in-law to live with her family, and his answer totally suprised her ^^

It's a suggestion if you don't like the drama you can stop watching it since from your post this drama only has negative characters when it's not the case at all. I don't necessarily have to like the characters to understand they're needed to drive a point or give character development to the main leads. Not everything has to be positive to be consider a good drama, if you're watching this drama and expect only positive characters then maybe you should consider you're watching the wrong genre and find something else more positive.

Mch's mother and yzm's dad interaction is so funny, the mother is so cheap while the dad just lavishly spending money that's not his, and have no shame in putting himself up in mch's hotel and refused to leave, now he just invite himself to a vip suite lol.

Finally yzm dad got introduced. To those who were complaining that yzm was just a love interest, he also play an important role in this drama, he was the catalyst for mch and her mother to finally reconcile with each other. We got a bit more info about yzm's past and why he resented his dad, when he talked to mch he said at first he resented his grandma for not helping earlier when his mother and him were both desperate and were hounded by creditors, but later he started to appreciate her because she gave him money to go to school so he could be able to get a higher education and get to where he's now. But before that, he must've a hard life not having enough to eat and have to work while going to school in order to provide for himself. He even said he has to eat food that were on the floor, this show how desperate he was before his grandma came in to help.

That ms. zhang is starting trouble by contacting yzm's dad, what's she up to, and is yzm's dad going to help her make trouble for mch.

Chemistry is subjective, you like the ex because he's childish and you think he's romantic because he bulldozed her without respecting her choice like in one ep when she was working and he came to the hotel to proposed to her making her feel embarrassed or buying a house with his father money without her knowledge thinking she will be happy even though fl made it clear she wants them to provide for themselves without relying on his parents' money. Or him trying to use his influenced to help her secure a better price when fl was really prideful being able to negotiate and got a good price in his father company etc. This to me looks exactly like what everyone was complaining about the mother, not trusting her to do a good job and wanting to help her in her job when she doesn't needs his help. The ml on the other hand is exactly the opposite to fl's ex, he respects her, and admire her work ethic, he lets her to her own device and left her deal with her own business and only helps her when she truly needs his help. In other word he's the kind of boyfriend mch has always been looking for, someone who can stick it out with her in good and bad times, not just runaway when things didn't work out. This is a family drama and you can see unlike her ex who never come to meet her family in all the time their dated, yzm has such a good relations with all the people in fl's life, he understood them and know how to assuase their fears and worries for their daughter, he's the definition of a family man and what every smart women are looking for in their life partner.

The main leads relationship is more mature than what she has with her ex whom i think is too immature for mch.

The focus of this drama is about family so i think the romance will not play a big part in this family drama. If you come into this drama and expect romance than you must not read the synopsis it has always been about the fl's growth. She has just inherited a hotel from her grandmother and is always busy with work and trying to save the hotel from going under. The ml also is a supervisor who is also is busy with his own career. All those office dramas with romance that have people don't do any work are not realistic, so i'm happy to see this drama depict a more realistic workplace environment. If you're complaining because the main leads have careers and are not alway lovey dovey then you're not this drama target audience. The ex boyfriend is irresponsible and is a bum who still rely on his parents for his own living, and probably has a lot of free time to sit around and play videogames, if he's the type of guy you think is better for fl than you don't know much about fl, even at the beginning she has her own career and was always busy with work in order to provide for her family, her family is an important part of her life and that will not change even after she becomes more independent from her mother. The ml has grown up without the warm of a family, so he's attracted to fl because of her sweet and warm personality and her family also play an important part of it. I kind of notice dramas in mdl don't have good rating if they're not romance, but expect this is a genre that focus on family dynamic not just romance.

The new girl is not so bad, i'm liking her now. Is her presence is to show a different mother/daughter dynamic that is opposite from mch and her mother's dynamic. Ms zhang provided her daughter with wealth and privilege, but she neglected her daughter causing her to rebel against her mother and resented her. The daughter wants to get her mother's approval and is trying to get her attention by working in mch's hotel, while on mch's case she's feeling suffocated on her mother's extreme love and protection, and wants to set boundary. Glad to see the mother is learning and is willing to change. I'm happy to see mcz finally got his mother's attention, he turns out well from being neglected in that family. Good thing he has a really understanding older sister who he could confide in when he was in trouble and mao.

Finally that employee got fired, he deserved to be fire much earlier. I have to wonder like someone else suggested before if he was working for ms. zhang and was trying to sabotage mch's hotel. Mch and yzm are couple goal, i would like to find someone like yzm who would comfort me and tell me sweet words when i'm down, yzm is turning out to be the best choice ever for mch ^^

What made you think it's nonsense. Negative emotions can also bring growths. I also like unrealistic outcomes and would like everything to works out for the characters in this show, but that's not always the case. The term realistic is due to your expectation of what's to come, and just because this show is showing these types of characters don't mean there's no life lesson to get out from them because these characters also exist in real life, i can't immerse myself in a drama fully and would question if the characters didn't act the way i would expect them to since this is a family drama just like i would expect a xanxia drama to have things that are unrealistic. And people who rate the drama 10/10 means they really enjoy it, and it's their choice what's does it matter to you, if there're negative comments then there're also positive comments, i just think comments on the mother is taking too much space and is repetitive we got it if you don't like it you can stop watching.

I think his fans will double if he show more of his dancing ^^

If you don't like the mother that's fine, but it's bad form to want her to be push off a cliff. Notice xukai character has a bad childhood and lack family love, he seems to enjoy the mother's company and even call her adorable. There're two extremes in this drama, one mother neglected her child and always focus on work, while another is overprotective of her child and alway pushing her boundary, the two people who didn't have family love enjoy the mother's company and want to be in her company because they didn't grow up in such a loving family like what the fl had.

Yangzi is a good actress, i couldn't tell she was scare until i saw the bts ^^

In life you will encounter nice people and bad people, and you will also have those relatives that annoy you that you can't avoid. This drama in my opinion gives a realistic view on family and those people you met in the work place and in your marriage. Is it that painful to watch i don't think so, maybe it's painful for you because you don't watch too many family-related dramas, i think this drama is not that depressing and it's also showing many positive relationships not just only negatives. The employee just got fired from his job, so he was showing his frustration. He's lazy and expect things to be the same like when the grandmother was the owner, now that mch decides to turn a profit and telling her employees to work long hours, not all the employees will be happy about it, this one employee was the most vocal and has been stirring trouble for her, i don't find him one dimensional, i can see his pov and why he was frustrated and acted out because of change in ownership.
