If you said you like xukai then how far have you watch this drama to make such a complain about his character being a robot or dull and lifeless, his character was only cold in the beginning and became much warmer as he got to know the fl and her family. Also female lead has lots of personality, not understanding why you're complaining about her character because she's the life of this drama, she's sweet and caring and her being self-righteous speaks of character, this is the reason why ml falls in love with fl. I admire her strength and conviction not willing to compromise and wanting to prove herself by hard work rather than connection. It's easy to take the easy road, it's much harder to stick to your principle and not let interests changes you. Ml was this way in the beginning because of his hard life growing up being abandon by his own family, fl on the other hand have a loving family who love her and support her. The mother is set in her way because of her own upbringing, and in my opinion anybody can be redeem if they're willing, this drama focus on the fl's growth and her mother has a very important part to play in that growth, mother will change for the better in the future. This is a family-oriented drama, if you don't have a problem with family-oriented drama then you shouldn't have a problem watching this. But i understand not everyone have the same taste, so if this drama is not for you then i hope you can find something else better to your liking.

Yeah he switched off his cold face when he's around grandma and i think after she got demoted and transfered to a different department her attitude towards him changed and he started to become much more friendly towards her.

It was the ep when mao took him to look for a suit and he went on to meet the guy who first helped him got into his first law firm. And he must have gotten his help and was introduced to a new company the guy worked at if i remembered correctly.

That fish bath scene mch and ymz went on their date was kind of cool. I saw a bts of their shooting and it was really funny how the both of them were testing each other on who can keep their feet in the water longer and xukai won even though he has a phobia ^^

The guy deserved it i'm totally behind her and rooting for her for beating that drunkard for harassing her daughter. The ex bf's mom is a fake, i would rather take fl's mom over her any day, throwing away food someone cook for you in the trash, should just refuse to accept it in the first place. Mch's mom is just overprotective and needs to learn to give her daughter space, she will have a big character development in the future.

In term of character development, i thought he has a very good character development going from cold to warm in bce after he spent time his with his grandmother, and getting to know fl and her family, bce is a family drama and yzm is not just a love interest to the fl, he also has other relationship beside his relationship with the fl like with his assistant, mch's mom and dad and his grandma, or his relationship with the new girl whom he grew up with and became her guardian...Bce is an fl centric drama that focus on the fl's growth and relationships so it's expected xukai screen time will be less than fl, for abay i think xukai will have a huge role to play in this drama than bce since he will be fl's partner in business before they become a couple.

It was awkward at first when she still see him as her little brother, but after they got together, i think there's no awkwardness anymore i can see them as a couple now. And she has a positive influence on him as he was neglected for most of his life growing up, she gives him stability and was the reason for him quitting his delivering job and going back to his original plan to become a lawyer. I think this couple is growing on me, i like them and hope they can stick it out.

I haven't fast forward any ep, i don't hate the mom even though she's overbearing i thought she meant well, i kind of pity her because she reminds me of my own mother. Did you watch the rest of ep 28, this ep got me really emotional because the mother and daughter finally have a good talk and starting to mend their fences.

I didn't know this but i'm also enjoying their scene. Also yzm scenes has increased since she broke up with her ex boyfriend.

I don't think they would show them spending the night together as it's a family drama. Also i just thought he was happy because mch gave him the pastry because that one is exclusive and can't get anywhere else beside her restaurant even if he pretend to dish on it, he was pleased with her present for him. Although you're scenario could happens too ^^

Mist soul can slow time i think, kun has possession of mist soul so ying xuwei just made a suggestion for kun to go into a time stasis with her people, this is to control her from going mad i think. It's been a while anyway, kun did go mad after possessing human orbs. The kun clan members didn't died, they were injured, that's why kun needed to get power from somewhere and she used humans as her source of power so she can heal them. I do agree they were selfish, kun only care about the people under her care, and the yu people only care about themselves, humans were just expendable.

Yes she went the wrong way in showing her care, she was willing to be look down on to secure her daughter future without asking what her daughter wanted. Ep 28 we get her pov and she apologizes to her daughter, all they need is to have a good talk since that incident, but they had been avoiding each other due to how much that incident hurt the both of them. After that ep, i think the relationship between the mother and daughter will change for the better.

Because he's willing to lend her an ear without judging her? I feel the mom just feel undervalue in her family, so she is lashing out from her own frustration onto her family. That's exactly what mch said to yzm about her mom.

This is a family drama, and some people have a strong reaction to the mom, i find the mom interesting and funny and i've seen other family dramas with much worse moms, so this mother being overprotective of her daughter i think is misplace but not to the point it's unwatchable like some people on here are complaining. Also i find it weird why do people only like to speak about only negative things about this drama when there're so many positive things to talk about. This drama also has a really cool grandmother of the ml and fl, also i really like how mature both the ml and fl are. The fl and her brother has the best sibling relationship i ever seen in a drama. In conclusion it's up to your enjoyment if you like family drama that focus on the fl's growth and a slow burn romance than this is for you.

I think being away from mcz while working cause her to feel lots of guilt over leaving him in his grandmother care. That's why i think when he turn 6 she became a stay at home mom and became a housewife and taking care of her family.

I disagree with you the term deadbeat has no association with lini. If you call his brothers and father deadbeat that i can understand. Lini wasn't treated well by his family growing up, so he left home early to become a soldier, he doesn't want to have anything to do with the throne because he understand what it's like competing for such a title. Lini is not bloodthirsty or ambitious like his brothers, what he crave is freedom and guarding the border with his men. I don't fault him for wanting such a life because he doesn't owe his family anything after the way they treated him. Also after his men death, he realizes he has no choice but to take on the role of crown prince to prevent more bloodshed, this is only natural. Before he was alway hesitating because he knew the fl will have a hard time if she becomes his wife. Also i never have that impression that his decision came only after he thought the fl died because his talk with his father when he decides to rule in his place was after his father step down from the throne, it was his decision to stay and rule until the real heir grown up as he talked to the crown princess and told her of his choice after his men died.
