Wow drama is coming, 13 hrs to go. We can now relax after waiting for the airing date to be reveal hope nothing will ruin it like what happens with moonlit reunion, xukai has it hard everytime his drama air there was a smear campaign against him like someone is afraid he will overshadow their favorites or something when xukai has never care about popularity, popularity is fleeting what matter is how long you can stay in the business that why xukai has been focusing on what truly matters his acting ^^

Against the current a drama that aired a few days ago.

Exactly i watched so many interviews and feel like i know him as a person and not just as an actor. Also many things he said made me realizes he care about his fans and made me like him even more like when he told his fans to not spend money on him but to spend on themselves and their families instead made me think he's a kind and a nice person unlike what is said about him. I also find it touching to see his love for his parents, his parents are very lucky to have a son like him, he didn't turn into a bad boy but become a responsible adult and working at just 18 and has to drop out of school after his family fell into hard time. That why i don't believe all those negative rumors that were spread about him, it hard to be in the entertainment business being control and having to watch your every move otherwise you will be gossip about.

Don't mind what she said. I saw some reviews she did and she mostly has lots of negative over positive about most dramas and also about most idol actors. What i find interesting here is she said he sounded modern and not sound like a historical person, i totally don't know how a historical person suppose to sound lol because he sound perfect to me. In any case i'm totally in love with xukai's voice and been playing it over repeatedly from all the edits. Hopefully we will hear him voice in all his historical dramas going forward after spring of the blade we will have the story of tiandu then we can compare his voice from these two dramas. He has such a beautiful voice, it would be such a waste not to let him voice these characters ^^

You're making lots of guesses about the drama when it has not even air yet. From my understanding from watching trailer and bts footage, the ml lost his whole family and only him and his brother survive. Also drama adaptation will not follow novel exactly, so there's no point in making guesses, as for being dissapointed in the production i'll just wait and see the drama to make that judgement rather than hearing gossip badmouthing the production.

Same here, i started watching chinese dramas because of xukai, before him i rarely watched chinese dramas and i don't follow any celebrities. I used to follow hong kong dramas when i was younger and like some hong kong actors now i have not follow any actor beside xukai. I like his acting since story of yanxi palace and i also seen critcism of his acting before that i have to reply back, but it didn't affect my liking of xukai as an actor at all. I feel xukai is an actor who really care about acting and he can play many type of characters, he's not afraid to put himself in an uncomfortable position to play the character or exploring roles that are more complicated, i also think he's the type of actors who care about realism and not afraid to get dirty or look ugly for the role so i really like him as an actor ^^

Iqyi doesn't even promote stb domestically while atc has heavy promotion on tencent. Drama that has such heavy promotion should do well otherwise it will be call failing expectation. For sotp it can be a dark horse being there's so little promotion beside the oversea promotion iqyi is doing, and i'm going to say again don't sell sotp short just because it doesn't have the same budget like atc in term of promotion, it just means higher expectation and the higher the expectation the easier it will fail if it didn't meet expectation. Nobody can predict whether a drama will be a blockbuster or not, even a low budget drama can be a blockbuster with the right timing and the right script. I remember a drama of seven tan and ren jialun that became popular with low budget under the power brought them great recognition and they exploded after that drama.

Don't sell sotb short when it hasn't even air yet lol. I felt the two dramas can air together and both will have their own audiences, i believe atc will draw more older audiences because of the two leads being in their 30s, stb will draw younger audiences even though xukai is in his 30s he has a boyish face and zhouye also has the face that fit a young lady in a period drama. Both dramas will draw different audiences most likely so no need to make comparison even though i have not seen atc i also like the main leads but for some reason the trailer doesn't really stand out for me so i don't know whether i will check it out.

Iqyi is sending him abroad to promote the drama in thai lan and vietnam, and i heard youku is also promoting the drama domestically. Zhouye will be with him to promote the drama in vietnam too so he's not the only one to promote the drama as you said. We still don't know if anyone else will come with them but i suppose they're banking on his popularity oversea so his name is being put first. For the billing i think they must've split the billing because of the new rule and it's not a big deal, i would rather know it ahead of time rather than after watching the drama and it turn out he was first billing but gotten less screentimes like in some of his past projects.
