The scene in the rain when yanrui walk in he has so much aura, he show his cruelty in this ep when he has his man beating that servant and we got a rescue does that mean they're even since she rescued him in the early ep from drowning. It's my first time seeing the hero can't swim and was rescue by the beauty 😂

Fl seem to have a purpose to stage her punishment, she told the nanny every flog she was given the nanny will get back tenfolk, so she knew ahead of time yanrui will come and uses him to get revenge on the nanny or it's just a coincidence, and her revenge is separate from his punishment. The men that came with yanrui were spellbound by his speech that they forgot to follow him 😂

So the man from ep 1 didn't die after all, i suppose yanrui was using him to scare those people who were making trouble by faking the man death. This ep explain a few thing about yanrui his purpose in coming to hengtang and we also got a bit of his background to understand why he has so much authority and why the people there seem to be afraid of him. I find it funny that the grandma was reading from that letter shenrun has petition against yanrui and in that letter we got to know shenrun and yanrui both are close to the king and they're suppose to be total opposite, no one there suspect shenrun/yanrui as being the same person 😂

They're two different dramas and have different direction. It could be because atc has more eps so it can go at a slower pace so you're more into that type of drama, spring of the blade has a faster pace and you kind of get dump into the story and we can only get more infos into the characters background by following the fl's journey. Two different approach to two different dramas. The ways the story is written in spring of the blade is a revenge story where both ml and fl have ulterior motives and both are hiding behind a mask, as you keep watching you will start to understand them, they both suffer lost as children and both have to finally learn to trust each other. I have opposite reaction to you i love the main characters and want to know more about them, why they're that way not just judging them from the beginning.

Agree with you, we didn't have the back story of shenrun, it could be they want to keep him mysterious and not want to reveal too much about his identity too early in the ep, but it's obvious shenrun and yanrui are the same person. They dump us into the middle of the story and now keeping important details about the character. Let wait and see but i expect they will reveal his back story in the later eps. This make me think the rumor this drama has more eps but got cut down to 30 eps is true, i hate when they cut important scenes, or it could just be there will be a big reveal in the future we will get the ml's pov and not just the fl's.

So they're most likely responsible for her mother's murder. Fl went there to investigate so she already suspect the people in that household to be responsible, so she went there for revenge.

I want to ask what is the connection between fl's mother and shenrun's family. Why are both her mother and his whole family were murdered at the same time?

In ep 3, there was a flashback to fl childhood and we got a bit more background into her life with her mother, so the little boy that she played with is shenrun, and is also yanrui the connection is too obvious here both of them can't swim and the only different is in the name, so the ml could just be using a fake name.

Let me get this straight how come yanrui was able to investigate and found out the monk was fake and is working with the fl, but the whole sia family just hire that monk without checking his qualification? Are they that superstitious that they just believe the mansion was haunted just because of a little scare or is it because they hiding some horrible secret. The fl uses their superstition to get into the mansion i'm thinking this also related to her mother.

There's no rule to say ml can't have shade of gray or he has to be a hero. From the start they're strangers so him threatening her is just part of his character, but i believe he's just playing the part and there's more to him than meet the eye.

Iqyi is not updating the new ep on youtube, does that mean if i want to watch the drama i have to watch on their website? What about youku does anyone watch the drama on youku and if they're which one has better substitle?
