I haven't gotten that far in the drama and I think her character is much more than see the eye, she's very smart and she knows how to use it to her advantage in the way she tries to get on Lini's good side by sewing him something for his mother or locate his nurse something that he can't refuse so he owe her a favor. I can't tell whether she will stay good and just a love rival to cuilin or will she turns bad for not getting his affection, or is it all an act and she has other ulterior motive.

So this drama will also be air on iquyi beside tencent, and also has a TV broadcast?

I think her character was necessary to make a comparison to cuilin. She's totally opposite to how cuilin is, a gentle girl who's well manners with many womanly skills that are expected to be know by respectable women at that time. With such contrast, and the way she treats lini compare to cuilin shows how different they're, and it didn't make a difference since lini said to general pei junior beauty is in the eye of the beholder, for him cuilin not knowing any womanly skills doesn't matter because what he's attracted to is what she gives him a challenge and someone who can compete with him on a battlefield.

For lini I think he let her win in the open in order to negotiate with her in private to help him rescue his father. To him the food situation is not as important as getting the cuilin's army help because the way both of their armies were fighting over the food provision, they will never agree on who will get it. That why he went in private to talk to cuilin and later to the fake cuilin, knowing they will likely agree to it since they got an advantage in their earlier negotiation. In my opinion lini is just as sneaky, he pretends to let her win, but later he was able to procure her agreement to rescue his father, as well as getting her army help to conquer a city. I think if he didn't let her win in their first negotiation, it would be much harder to negotiate with her and the fake cuilin, so it's a strategic loss.

Just like I like to see ml character with shade of gray, I also like fl the same, someone who's supposed to be a good person but also can use dirty tactics that's why I don't see what she did was wrong because it's not out of character for her to lie since from the beginning she was never written to be a person who do things honestly from her weapons, to her sneaky attacks when she was fighting ml. I'm not sure what people are expecting from her character because I just see someone who will use whatever means to win even lie to get her way. Lini from the first called fl devious and mean, that's why he always has his guard up around her, maybe I have seen that behaviors by fl before in other dramas, that's why it's not that surprising to me for her to do something underhanded. I even like those fl for being unconventional. I'm fine with fl using tricks to get her ways as long as she does it in the open, what I don't like is the one who pretend to be a good girl and hides a devious heart, the one that does things in secrets those are the one ml should looks out for.

Agree, this is the first time I'm seeing all three of his dramas rumor to air in early 2024, what happens after we will have a long wait for his new dramas.

Their horses were imported I heard from an interview. Also it looks like they were training to ride the horses at that time. Both xukai and jingtian were saying there were some cgi riding scenes due to the road being too narrow that could hurt the actors if they were to do real riding.

Is he that fragile to be hurt by her lie. I didn't think so, and he is not stupid to fall for her lie as we find out he has been suspecting her identity for a while now. I think she was trying to fool him from getting to the truth while at the same time wanting him to find out since it's a secret not even her army knew about. A girl wouldn't hurt her own reputation by a casual lie to anyone, she told her friend the guy who she wants to marry wouldn't care about her reputation and I always been wondering what she meant by this because most girl would care about their reputation if they want to get marry in that society, but she didn't seem to mind letting a guy she just met thinking badly of her. In the end the one who is hurt is cuilin since for a girl reputation is the most important, so any guy knowing she's compromised will not want to marry her.

The sfl is not a simple girl, she knew lini has feeling for cuilin but she still tries to get close to him, and also pretending to not know about their relationship and wanting to make cuilin jealous by showing her the arm guards she bought as a gift to lini. Lini thought it came from cuilin as a result he was showing them off to cuilin, cuilin pretending not to be jealous by lying to him about her relationship with her brother to get back at him. She's so petty, this what you call killing two birds with one stone, making lini jealous as well as distracting him so he will lose his composure in their negotiation lol. There are those who have a problem with cuilin actions and hating on her because she doesn't act like a typical girl in love who lose their head for a guy they just met, while I on the other hand I really like her character for not losing her head over the first guy she falls for lol. Both lini and cuilin just met and even though they have feeling for each other as they spend times together, they're still leaders of their army so they have a responsibility to their army, at first it looks like he's losing in the negotiation, but later we found out he has another plan and needs cuilin's army to help him, so neither of them actually lose to the other in the negotiation.

Yeah I remember the line is for the past 20 years this is the first time I've been at peace so I assume he's in his 20.

I don't think so since I like both snow eagle lord and wonderland of love, wonderland of love getting lots of praise right now so it's not meh but a very good drama with a good production and the pairing of xukai and jingtian are also good ^^

I'm concern xukai's three dramas are rumor to air in 2024, but is the rumor true they will be airing one after another, i hope we will get some time for each drama to get proper promotion and for him to appear in variety show with the actresses to promote each of his drama, so we not be lacking xukai next year. After these dramas air, he doesn't have anymore dramas besides the one rumor to shoot in December this year.

I don't count ama, he has done two modern dramas before abay, they are falling into your smile and she and her perfect husband ^^

In an interview, both xukai and jingtian describe the relationship between lini and cuilin as sour and sweet, and I agree when it's sweet it's sugary sweet like when they write love letters to each other, or enjoying nuts together or smelling the same flowers together as a long distance relationship. Also in writing love letters to each other, they have another purpose besides expressing their feelings for each other, and it's super sweet that lini cares so much for cuilin that he's even helping her to expose her cousin's plan as a result he can tell when cuilin was in danger and come to her rescue ^^

Xukai does his own fight scenes and horse riding. He has been in many historical dramas so he is used to fight with many different weapons, he also admitted to like doing action scenes in interviews.

I heard about jtl, I'll check it out when I finished wol. I heard the CP there didn't have chemistry so chemistry is subjective either you like it or you don't just like for this drama. You can like the CP or not but can still enjoy the drama for the story.
