I don't think she expects him to save the fake cuilin, what she's angry at is her army was attacked and he was there but he didn't come to help. Also fake cuilin took a sword for her, so she's blaming herself for his death, and lashing out at lini because he's an easy target. It could be say lini was helping her by firing his arrows, so why at the last moment when she was in danger he didn't fire it, I think he was getting his revenge by letting the fake cuilin take a sword for her, and that's why she asked him why he didn't let her died since he clearly was waiting until fake cuilin get killed to come to her aid.

Yeah but it was announced for release as 46 eps in 2 seasons and gotten cut to 40 eps in 1 season.

He overacted and it kind of feels force in some of his scenes. I also think he looks too young for this role, I wonder if he's supposed to be younger than her because he looks too green to be a commander.

Did anyone feel this drama cut many of the fight scenes, sometimes we hear there was a fight going on, but we only see the aftermath, I wonder if those were the eps that were cut from reducing 46 eps to 40 eps.

Why do you bring Kunlun palace when talking about another drama. And comparing two dramas that have nothing to do with each other. If you think that drama is better, than go watch that drama, I'm starting to get annoy when hearing people keep bringing up another drama when watching this drama. Let people who like watching this drama to enjoy it in peace.

What makes you say that, they are two different dramas since I didn't watch sokp I can't say whether it has a better plot, but those who watch wol might not agree with you. In term of plot, a good drama makes you anticipate the new eps and wanting to watch more. That what I feel about wol. From my understanding sokp is a harem, those who might like this drama might not like that drama and vice versa. I would hesitate to watch that drama knowing there were more than one guy has feelings for fl since I don't like love triangle, and I'm glad there is nothing like that in this drama, fl and ml only has feelings for each other and only devote to each other.

Loss in Kunlun mountain was ok, could've been better if the drama wasn't cut and ending was complete. I like the story about the different sects and the different weapons they used, and xukai character was really mature and smart. I think xukai really like being in action dramas, his recent dramas all are action, and he proven he should do more action dramas because he really excel in them. I just love his sword dance in this drama, it was so cool, I heard that sword dance was cut short and it should've been much longer in a recent live stream. Too bad I would've like to see the full dance. His every move is so precise, wouldn't mind seeing him in another wuxia with a good production like in wol.

I saw a scene in court lady that he climbed the tall tower at night, so I don't think it was cut out or are you refer to another climbing scene. Xukai is really athletic, I saw him do a high jump on happy camp before, so it's possible that all the climbing scenes were done by him ^^

In ep 16 I was smiling the whole time, cuilin words were so cruel and meant to hurt lini since she was hurting inside losing someone close to her. But his patience and understanding makes me think cuilin is so lucky to have him as a lover. He's emotionally stable, and won't get mad easily once he fell in love. His emotional outburst before was because he value his men and those who he owe a favor like that old couple who helped them. Cuilin used to say if someone is nice to lini he will return in tenfold is so true, this can be seen in how he treated his brothers because their mother were nice to him, he ignored all the abused he was given by them. He was banished by his grandfather and father to the border but he didn't begrudge them and doesn't hold any negative feelings towards them. He rescued his father even though he never showed any feeling for him besides angry words. He left that holding for his brothers even though he was the one that conquered it. Lini is written so perfect that I have no words, the author really writes such an excellent ml who is so understanding, any fl who he falls in love with is so lucky, I don't even have words to say how much I love lini, he reminded me so much of his character in arsenal military academy but even more perfect. Now I'm thinking this writer has a reputation for writing tragedy, so her writing of lini is really making up for all the past toxic mls she written because this character doesn't seem to have any negative traits besides his emotional outburst, and I don't consider that a negative trait either ^^

The dramas I consider he has lots of screen times are ancient love poetry and once upon a time in lingjian mountain. And both dramas are among my favorites dramas of his, this drama will be another one to add to my collection ^^

The first life wasn't included in novel and only added by drama to show what happened before things became the way they were and the beginning of shanggu and baijue relationship. What got me was their relationship never started, it was tragic and was cut short by fl's destiny. The second life was the main storyline. I kind of understand why they didn't start drama with houchi and qingmu and started with baijue and shanggu to give us more background about their characters and understand why they made such choices. I'm the opposite and much more attached to their first life because it ended in such tragedy. I wasn't as attached to the characters in other xanxia like tmopb or ashes of love unlike this one, that's why this is only xanxia that got me to rewatch so many times .

I haven't watch whole drama yet so can't say too much about it, but is it true she behaves selfish and not hold accountable for her actions I don't see that because in the ep when the old couple died and ml yell at her for acting selfish I see that as him holding her accountable for the old couple death, since to him he thinks he could've save them if he wasn't drugged by her. I thought she was being sensible since there were too many men for them to handle so she made that decision without consulting him. I can see ml as being more emotional and thinking with his heart, while fl is more pragmatic and thinking with her head in that situation even though she also felt responsible for the old couple death.

You're the first to say you loss interest in their second life. Lots of people have problems starting drama due the beginning being a bit slow and boring in the first few episodes, while liking the second life with houchi and qingmu. Their love story was bittersweet, however my love for shanggu and baijue made me curious how houchi and qingmu were related to them. I think you will be surprised when you find out when watching it, what a plot twist. I was unprepared and keeps guessing still the end. This drama is so good and ties up really well in just 49 eps we go through so many different emotions, it's a drama I could rewatch so many times ^^

That was just the impression I got from reading the synopsis, so I could be wrong about the source material but I wasn't interested in such a story, while on the other hand reading the synopsis for as beautiful as you i'm automatically drawn in by fl since she's a business woman who started her own company rather than in a generic profession. I'm also curious to see xukai playing a CEO since he hasn't play such a character before.

From xukai and jingtian interview, they said the author was nicer to fl than ml, ml has so much suffering. I think this is the author being nice since her other works from my understanding were not so nice to fl, it's make me curious how much suffering ml has to endure lol ^^
