I been catching up on spring of the blade so been neglecting great escape so looking forward to watching these eps ^^

Does anyone have any idea what is the meaning of the title of sping of the blade or is just mean to be poetic. I remember someone talk about the title back when drama just started about the title meaning in chinese and in english and how they tie together. I was watching the bts of the making of this drama, and the people behind it were talking about shenrun and yunya being each other blade and scabbard and i was thinking to myself how the symbols represent the both of them. I know they do help each other toward the end, shenrun tie to the king and yunya's heritage made it possible to bring down xie shu after he gotten a pardon from the king. The king to the last second was weighing the pro and con of using xie shu to stable hengtang, but he has to relent after shenrun vow for yunya as the true heiress of the xie family that she can stable hengtang and how did she do it by giving away the xie family's entire fortune away because as someone else has comment the xie's family fortune were acquire through ill gains and will only bring her back luck, giving it away free her from any resentment of the people of hengtang from being deceived by her father.

Glad to see the main leads went back to the island that they end up at when they fell of a cliff in the early ep is this consider their honeymoon since they were so busy with revenge they didn't get to enjoy their wedding night or there after. And for how long will they stay on this island? Is shenrun retire from captain of the guard, drama should include 1 more ep to give us a longer ending with shenrun and yunya and also of shenrun's brother and yunya's friend, they went mia in the last ep.

I don't understand bringing up atc so many times in this drama comments section either. Does it has the same set up, does it follow the same type of story telling, does it peel back layer after layer toward the end like spring of the blade is doing where the hook is waiting for the reveal. Spring of the blade is not perfect and has its flaw but it's still an enjoyable watch. Xukai character in this drama is really fun to watch, zhouye character got a lot of hate but i think she did an ok job playing this character, i doubt another actress could've done a better job playing such a cold character without getting criticism. I heard lots of criticism of her crying scenes, zhouye doesn't have lots of crying scenes in this drama i only remember her crying scene when she confronted her father and i was thinking in that scene she was trying to hold in her emotion but lost it and that why the crying was restrain because it was unintentional. I guess viewers like to see fl character showing weakness and being emotional all the time, but for this drama the fl is very restrain and don't show much weakness beside when she needed rescuing, but she still got criticize for that too 😅 I'm not a fan of the actress, but i thought she's getting unnecessary hate because she is not the typical fl that why i have to speak up and even if she is there will still be hate. I notice this happens a lot in xukai dramas, i don't get the hate for the fl, at the end of the day it's still just a drama and she still get pay to play this character and the director is satisfy with how she play this character. I said this because i saw her in another drama woh and her character there was really different to her character in this drama, she was also bend on revenge after her husband murder and in that scene when she went to get revenge for him it was really memorable that i still remember it, so i think the design for this character is not her alone but how the director envision this fl.

Let agree to disagree silent tear can be just as heartfelt, it's appear when you were not trying to cry but came anyway of their own volition not of your own doing. Not saying she has the best crying scenes of course but she didn't overact in the crying scene is a big plus because it would be out of character. Have a good day.

After watching the last ep, i realize the rumor about this drama lacking fund is true, the king didn't even have a throne room to sit on, and everytime he was show he wasn't dress fully in his royal robe. The xie family mansion look more like a throne room and xie shu behave like a king with his wife and concubines and children from different marriage 🤣

I think he gone mad, after killing people he care and love for power and prestige any sane person would've go mad or is a really evil person. He wasn't an evil person by nature but by circumstance.

He save her life and she realizes she has misjudge him because their first meeting he was acting as a corrupt official. She has her guard up around him for most of their meetings, but she finally realizes shec was wrong about him and accept her feeling for him.

No and you're trying really hard to make others think your opinion is the only one that matters lmao. So silent tear is fake but uncontrable crying is not fake, it's call overacting btw.

Ep 30 qy finally confront her father. When i first watch the scene of her mother dying and she witness it i didn't think it was the father that did it, i thought it was someone else entirely. So for a young girl to witness her mother being kill by her own father, how should she be feeling, could she become normal again after such a tragedy. Turns out granny chen is not her real grandma i just assume she was her grandma because qy went to live with her after her mother's death. Glad i watch it. 10/10 for the plot twist it really moves the story up a notch. The main leads finally gotten their revenge and move on with their lives just as the children generation who were born into that house can finally live a normal life after everything that happens. We didn't see 2nd son and his mother in the ending, but they were doing well when qy last saw them. 2nd son actually thriving after leaving that house, he's a simple person and not cut out for all the machination going on in that family. My only disapointment is shenrun's brother didn't even get a mention in the ending, i would've like to see him with that childhood friend of qy, they made a cute cp.

Everyone cry differently some cry silently, some cry uncontrollably. I'm the opposite of you, i understand silent tear but not the uncontrollable one i just felt it really fake. And her tear did fall, i felt the character she play is a damage person because she witness her mother killed by her own father, so she has been holding all her emotion in and that scene of her crying was because she couldn't suppress her emotion anymore. I remember that scene of her confronting her father and then later on break down i thought she did a good job in that scene because it wasn't about crying it was about not able to suppress her emotion after holding it in for so long.

No it's not bad. It's a good drama. Watch a few eps to see if it's something you like.

He appear at the end to put the final nail in the coffin, both him and qy experience such tragic loss, as a result they're not emotional people that why they could wait for so long for revenge, and it was through both of their effort that they were able to bring down the ones responsible for their love ones death and finally able to move on from their revenge.

How far have you gotten in the story, there is a big secret regarding his identity that he's been hiding and doesn't want other people to know about.

That was your opinion, i thought fl acting was fine, being in the situation she was in for her to turn out sane was already an achievement, after she gain some joy and smile more when she has gain an elder brother, and for that elder brother to die suddenly because of machination, it would be hard for any sane person not to be scar for life and withdrawn into themselves. Agree the ml was amazing.

And why should she understand the grandma, does that mean condoning her action? How many has been killed in the name of the xie's family, not just her mother, not just shenrun' s entire family, or her elder brother, etc do you think she should be understanding when the person related to her don't even do everything for her family rather she did it for her husband family and even lost her own name as well as her life is it worth it?

You're exaggerating about her acting, she does show other expressions beside being cold. If this is not how the character is suppose to act then the failing is in the director for not catching it. However i actually felt she can play cold character well. She lost her mother when she was young, and didn't grow up with a father so she has to rely on herself unlike her siblings with both parents. Not showing emotion can also be explain as a character trait since she witness the death of her mother so she lost the ability to show emotion and has to be on guard around people who will take advantage of her while living on the street.. If we're to compare she's like shen che who witness his whole family murder and only thought is revenge, why does no one ever question him being cold and uncaring i wonder 😒 How do you think she should deal with the marquist son, being nice to him so she will marry him as a concubine so she will be miserable like her mother?

Her character was cold and somber because she lost her mother at a young age and she didn't grown up with a father so she has to learn to do many things herself. Sure she is not an emotional person but that doesn't mean she didn't play how the director intended. Compare her to her siblings of course they grew up with parents and they didn't have to suffer in their childhood like she did so they learn to exhibit normal emotion unlike qy. Xukai in moonlit reunion was also criticize by some viewers about his acting just because his character was more quiet and don't talk much but it's just how the character was written. People who complant about zhouye's acting are exaggerating because they already have a type of female characters they like probably.
