I'm i to understand there're people in the comment section wanting the sml marriage to fail. I understand the hate for the second sister but this marriage is not just include her alone, if he want a fail marriage the ones who suffer will not just be her but also him and their children if they have any in the future. His father is right the marriage depend on him and how he behave will also affected how his wife behave. I hope in the future the 2nd sister can change for the better through her love for the sml she can finally grow up and become a better person and prove to him she can become a good wife and their marriage is not a mistake.

Ep 25 is so out of left field, we went from the wedding night to the next morning without showing them being intimate and then shenrun was show to be murder. We're rob of their wedding night. It looks like drama is wrapping thing up, and sacrificing the cp screentimes apparently. I can understand why shenrun is faking his death, to catch the bigger fish and let them loosen their tongue thinking they're in the clear once he's dead. It also rile up the citizens of that town who has stay silent for fear of retaliation, now they're organizing protests and wanting to expose those corrupt officials. The king man pretending to betray shenrun and join forces with commissioner hu, i'm worry for the marquist his men are being bought off so he might be in danger in the future. The marquist son is too soft so he is being look down on by his father men. This is the moment for him to grow up and take over for his father who is in poor health. This drama really suffer from having shorter eps compare to dramas with longer eps, they're rushing so many moments that should've been the highlight like qy, shenrun and his brother background and the cp moments between them are too short.

Qy did get her revenge, are we watching the same drama. Also what are you talking about for all the complain about ml lack of screentimes, i don't know about the later eps, but he has good screentimes from all the eps i'm watching starting from ep 1. Even if he has less screentimes in later eps, it doesn't amount to barely had screentimes. Although i would say this drama need more eps to explore more of shenrun and his brother back story because drama doesn't want to show us for some reason even qy backstory wasn't complete. I wonder if rumor of lack of funding is true and that why they could only film to 30 eps.

After marriage instead of enjoying the wedding night, they're doing cleanup duty in their wedding clothes. Shenrun being close to the king didn't even have a mansion of his own, he has to go to his family home to spend the night with his wife 😅

I guess we have different take on it because of how it goes down. For someone in her position after being switch she wasn't surprise or angry that the marriage fell through, instead she wants to expose the mothers scheme, bringing down the xie's good name along with it. That why i believe she was using her marriage to sml to force shenrun to makeup his mind and also for 1st madam to show her hand, she just didn't anticipate the assassins that were sent by 1st madam.

This drama has haters from the first day, many dramas have bad ending and still have good rating, so why only this drama rating went down so much, because not just watchers but also haters are rating it, and you're right it could go down more but wouldn't be that fast when many have not finish watching.

I can't believe those people in the xie's family they would force qy to be a concubine rather than be the main wife just to save their face and let her suffer humiliation, they treated 1st sister the same, good thing 1st sister was able to leave that family. And good thing shenrun came prepare, he wasn't going to use imperial edict but they force his hand, the marriage between qy and sr is approve by the king so no one can stop them from getting marry, even if that new guy is powerful he can't defy the order of the king. So the reason shenrun was keeping secret from qy is because he's being watch by the king's man. I'm glad he finally reveal everything to her, but now her life is in danger because she knew the king's plan, but i doubt anything will happens to her as long as shenrun is with her. Good to see shenrun's brother actually listen to advice from qy's friend, they would make a cute cp, i heard they were in the novel, so hope to see them become a cp in drama.

I like the founding lady, she's so brazen when she told shenrun she will help him if he give himself to her 😁 what a difference from all the scheming people in this drama, i like her straightforwardness, he doesn't have to guard against her unlike those people from the xie family being all righteous while scheming behind your back. She is a proper sfl and is such a foil from the sml's innocent, it's been a long time we see a proper written sfl and sml who you don't hate because they actually have a personality and can be themselves, and not just there to be the third wheel.

It's all in her plan to get revenge on the xie's family. It's not a bad written revenge story in my opinion she even warn the sml his mother is planning his marriage to 2nd sister he just didn't listen. He think love will overcome all obstacle, he just didn't realize he doesn't have much to say in his marriage when the mother chose the daughter in law base on connection. Qy wasn't surprise by it, i believe she only decides to marry the sml to force shenrun hand, that why she told him she will give him one last chance when he told her to wait for him, so she wasn't planning to go through with the marriage but rather waiting for him to come to stop the wedding and from the spoiler i saw he did come for her. Drama can't please everyone your choice on how you rate the drama but this drama for me has a solid story so i will rate it high for that as well as having likable leads, hope the drama won't crash at the end but cdrama has a problem with ending on a good note.

I kind of understand the sml mother decision she knew qy is not in love with sml while 1st madam's daughter is his childhood friend and is in love with him, she made her decision for the good of her family and what she thought is better for her son because 1st madam's daughter has a strong backing compare to qy who is only relying on the xie's family, plus her connection with shenrun made her afraid her son will suffer if marry to her. The marquist is straightforward so he supported qy because of his son's love for her, but his wife went behind his back and now they're being expose for scheming against their own son, i feel bad for him. It's so funny when the marquist pointed to qy's father when qy said she only agree to marry the sml because he told her he will make her the main wife and will not have a concubine he knew whom he refer to when she said it 🤣

1st madam is such a snake, she actually convince the sml's mother to switch brides. She is a vicious woman, behind that mask of propriety she doesn't care about anyone else beside herself and her daughter to go so far as to send assassins to kill qy good think she was save by shenrun's brother. This is a soap opera, the father must've known something but he didn't stop it because he's afraid of 1st madam's brother so he let his 4th daughter suffer humiation at her own wedding. That 2nd sister is that desperate to marry someone who didn't love her, but once it was reveal she was in tear because she got found out, oh the humiation knowing your husband marry you because he thought she was someone else 🤣 Good thing qy came in time to expose their scheme. Qy doesn't look that disappointed that the wedding was disrupted by 1st madam's scheme, i'm guessing she was expecting it but she wasn't prepare for 1st madam to send assassins after her. This would also can play into her revenge by exposing her family double dealing, she show the marquist and the whole neighborhood what kind of family the xie is like, i wonder if she was going for this exact situation because what is most damaging for the xie's family is their good name. She's not afraid to stay single if she could get her revenge it seem. Qy is something else, even using her wedding to scheme against the xie family, she already knew the sml mother always favor her 2nd sister so she is not surprise about the outcome of the wedding that they would switch brides. When she told shenrun she will gives him a last chance she is waiting for him to make his move by stopping her wedding i think everything is in her calculation. The only thing that is not is when she saw him with the founding lady that why she cried to her granny if she was wrong in her decision that shenrun might give up on her. So i believe she's waiting for shenrun to come to stop the wedding before it happens. I'm surprise no one actually thought everything that happens is according to her plan beside the assasination attempt 🤔

For all those people who are complaining about qy and said for her to wait what happens to those people complaining about the fl not focusing on revenge before, but now that she is they're still complaining. I can understand her pov, her childhood friend told her they will meet again and join forces but once they meet again his words to her is he's protecting the very man she wanting to get revenge on by the emperor's order. With the emperor protection he's outside her reach plus now that he has an earl title on top of it. Shenrun is keeping her in the dark and she didn't like it so she is planning her own path. Some people might think she's foolish by relying on the marquist son for alliance but don't forget behind him is his father who title outrank her father title. I'm also thinking she is angry with shenrun so she's planning this marriage to force his hand. I'm saying this because i saw a preview of shenrun coming to stop the wedding, so in my pov qy is scheming to use her wedding to the marquist's son to force shenrun to make a choice between her and the emperor she wants to test his love for her to see whether he will choose her by coming to stop the wedding.

1st madam has powerful family, she could threatened her own husband using her brother and the husband couldn't say anything. What rank is a commissioner, does it outrank shenrun? Shenrun and the king wanting to find out who is behind xie shu and xie shu seem to be playing both sides promising loyalty to the king but also courting marriage alliance by using 1st sister. I'm happy qy foil his plan and help 1st sister escape from that arrangement. It's interesting to see that 1st madam care for 3rd sister like her own daughter, if qy wants to get complete revenge on 1st madam she can drive a wedge between them by revealing 1st madam involvement in 5th concubine death. 3rd sister treat 1st madam like her own mother because she raise her, how would she react when she find out, but it's better to know the truth than being deceive all these years.

The more i found out the secrets in the xie family and how they treat their children like chess pieces for marriage alliances or as a political maneuver against certain figures the more i feel this mother and son has no shame. Whether 1st brother, 1st sister or qy herself, they're just chess pieces for them to use as political gains the way they speak so openly about using qy just to keeping check on shenrun because of his feeling for her and he made no secret about it either because he knew what these people are capable of, being associate with him in a way is a protection against their machination. I just feel bad for 1st brother, being celebrated as a hero but to have such snakes as family that even after he died he's still being use.

It's only you, i didn't see the resemblance, but the casting director did a good job casting her as zhouye's mother because in some angle she looks like zhouye.

After finding out her mother was not kill by qy's mother, the 3rd sister attitude toward qy has change alot. I'm glad to see both sisters could be civil to each other, 3rd sister is not as ill behave as that 2nd sister and in my opinion she's also prettier than her, i wonder if she will also find love like 1st sister. Glad to see 1st sister finally left that house and elope with her lover rather than being use by that family to marry someone much older than her. 3rd madam finally standing up for herself and her daughter, anyone marrying into this family would go mad. Xie shu is not much of a husband, two of his concubines has died, one gone mad and the other is being confine for planning the death of his son; his wives and concubines all suffer in one way or another because of him, anyone foolish enough to marry him face bad luck, so how did he picks up that many wives what did they see in him, and now he has a new concubine who look much younger than his other wives, what does she see in him 😂

I'm watching on the website and it easy to stop anytime you want if the dialogues are too fast.

What a messup family, so 1st madam reason for causing the 1st son dead was revenge for her unborn son she thought was caused by her own husband. What 1st madam said about the 1st son dead is true the father got an earl title, so was he in on it all along. He was able to protect himself by using his son dead to get the king's empathy and protection. He lost one son but he gains a lot from it also, now i'm wondering if he has any involvement in his son dead. The grandmother is something else, using her own grandchildren like chess pieces, she's not that different from her son. 1st madam family must be powerful for the xie family to be afraid of them and want to hold onto their alliances even playing both sides. Who is the one behind the father that the king and shenrun refer to, is it someone close to madam hu that why the xie family wanting to use 1st sister for a marriage alliance.

I got vip to watch this, but there still ad at the beginning of the ep lol 😅

That why i'm saying it looks fake. Even if drama has a bad ending, not many has watch express so would not know how it end, but the drama went from 8.4 to 8.1 in a short time that's a big drop, they were just waiting for the right timing to rate down this drama. You don't see other dramas with bad ending has such a massive drop in rating either when many has not finish the drama. This drama also has haters from day 1 that drop the rating down to 7.8 on day 1 so it take a longer time for rating to go up.
