Love the fight scenes in ep 14, xukai never disapointed with his fighting scenes. We finally starting to see qy and yr finally showing their feelings for each other, first time i'm seeing qy has such a soft expression when looking at yr, she has always has her guard up around him because she didn't trust him and call him a fox, but her impression of him has change a lot she even spoke up for him when the marquist called him a corrupt official and said to the marquist she believes him to be working to end corruption. That is a big change from their first meeting, and in this ep we see her admiration and also her being worry for his well being when hearing he's in danger. Qy could've run away to safety, but she chose to stay with yr in the present of danger, when she slip her hand into his it show her trust in him that she's not afraid to die with him if they didn't make it out alive. Love yr in this ep, his protectiveness toward qy, refusing to surrender even when he's being surrounded.

For those people who are complaining about qy being frozen and not able to do anything, i can see why they would think that but i can understand why she couldn't react, everything happens too fast, she couldn't react in time and once she finally process what happens she also started running like everyone else. The only thing i would say there was a man who attack yr from behind it would've been the right time to warn him, but it could also be explain she couldn't react fast enough, if the marquist didn't come with reinforcement in time yr would've been in real danger.

I'm surprise 2nd madam is not punish after she was found out. Qy was force to go out to ask for help, they made it impossible for her to say no, so she has no choice but to go to have them reinvestigate 5th concubine death in order to clear her mother's name. I can't believe only the first son speak up for her while all the women stay silent even 3rd madam and 1st sister didn't say anything beside her own servant who objected her being send out at night.

The xie's family is something else, sending a lone woman to ask for help. I'm glad they're not so foolish to let her go by herself and the elder brother volunteer to escort her. These people are so selfish, the father pretending to be reluctant to send her, but i can see clearly he doesn't care about their lives as much as his own safety, otherwise he wouldn't be sitting at home, he could have send a few guards with them for their protection.

Where did you get that from, you must've skip all the yapping otherwise you wouldn't be saying there's no logic. When people talking in this drama they're giving clues into their actions and planning but all you could say is all they do is yapping then do you just watching them looking pretty lmao 😂

Yr seem to have a lot of time on his hand, he seem to be present at every major events involving the xie's family 😂 Fl is very talented, not only is she understand medicine, she also good at baking and managing the ledgers. She went from managing the estate account to managing the apothecary to opening a bakery shop, i wonder if she learn them from her grandmother. She couldn't have done it by herself though without 1st sister, her servant or the friend that helped her from the first ep.

So the mastermind behind the murder of 5th concubine and framing qy's mother is 2nd madam. That is why she's trying so hard to oust qy from the xie's family to even suggest she's a fraud and the real 4th daughter is already dead. Glad to see 3rd madam finally has the courage to speak up to defend qy. Then why is 2nd madam calling out 1st madam, is she also involve. The father is such a failure of a husband. How sad for the maid being blame for just following her mistress's order. Back in those days being a servant carry a death sentence if your master/mistress were found guilty you're directly going to be implicated and take the fall.

What are you talking about? Are you even watching the drama or only talking nonsense without actually watching it. What with this word simp ml i'm keep hearing and what that has to do with the ml in this drama or the fl for that matter.

So you don't like the ml to be a green flag but a red flag instead. Gotcha because it used to be common trope in these types of dramas, but i'm glad it's finally gone they must've realize what viewers want and are smart enough to not fall for it anymore, and a few who still want those red flag ml can always go back to old dramas, they're full of those trope 😅

I also like him, he's good to play this type of role similar to his role in court lady.

Wow why i'm not surprised the father turn out to have a connection to the perpetrator and is involve in the grain scheming. That guy send an assassin to kill his son, but he acted like nothing happens and sitting peacefully with him discussing business. My instinc is right he's just faking being self- righteous, let hope yr see through it. What is yr planning, how is qy going to help him, and how is the marquist figure in all this. Yr faking being a corrupt official to investigate corruption so he must've suspect qy's father from the beginning that's why he has so much interest in the xie's family and why he needs qy's help to uncover her father's secret.

Has anyone talk about the intro music, at first i thought it was average but after listening a while i'm addicted to the music, what instrument is playing in the background is it drum, i'm loving the intro music and has not skip it, i also love the ending ost and the insert musics. Was wondering what happens to the ost that was share before the drama aired called waiting, it was introduce in ep 11.

I find it ironic how yr describe qy as his blade and he has no feeling for her to his brother so why does he look jealous when sml propose to her and given her a token. Is he only saying that because he is protecting her from his brother because he will be a danger to her or he really means it. Both of them seem to have finally agree on working together so that jade pendant when she accept it means she has agree to work with him. Qy asked yr to release her brother and yr did as she said so he did it for her or he has other reasons i think he did it in order to make her beholden to him as he said she's his blade and he has use for her so by releasing her brother she owe him a debt and has to do as he said. The team behind this drama said yr and qy are the blade and scabbard of each other, so i finally understand what they mean, this is not a typical romance drama both the ml and fl have a purpose in approaching the other and they're not afraid to break the rule in order to fulfill their purpose. Fl said to the sml that she doesn't care about marriage or need a man to protect her so sml knew her feeling from the first so why is he still want to marry her. From reading some of the comments criticizing the fl, it seem the audiences want the fl to be this perfect young lady who not only know how to fight but also not making any mistakes, in the novel the fl was a teenager for the purpose of the drama they age her so that could be the reason why some of her actions are being judge because she's made to be older compare to the novel being only a teenager who have not have lots of experience about the world and has been carrying a huge burden on her shoulder at such a young age.

I'm not sure why some people think a woman has to stay a virgin when she's marry or can't have feeling for another man when she has made it very clear what she was like to the man in question, she is not like most young girls who only purpose is to advance her family standing or to get a good marriage, her purpose is to get revenge and clear her mother's name. I haven't watch the later eps so can't said much about it but this is my thinking from watching to ep 11.

Yr's brother finally appear in this ep, he is being show as this mysterious figure without any introduction of how he's relate to yr, i'm already spoil about his connection to yr but i would've know they have a deep connection just by the way he treated him making noodle for him/ his care for him, he didn't say anything when he didn't listen and kill that assassin. I thought he was killed when his whole family was killed so how did he survive? Yr being a big brother is something different, the actor playing his brother was his friend in snow eagle lord. I'm glad they're playing as brothers this time and not enemies.

Just some short dramas and great escape season 8.

So they only care about what they can gain from her and not about her well being. How heartless.

If xukai's acting is bland or average then what am i doing following his dramas since story of yanxi palace. Those people who said that about him can't tell good acting and think playing a character mean the actor has to be the same type of character irl. If his acting is bland then he wouldn't be giving us so many memorable characters. You can tell the types of dramas those people like just by the way they did not discuss eight hundred, a drama xukai was praise about so much and to think such a good drama has such a low rating on mdl you can tell people on mdl are not into this type of drama. It can just be those people just have a very small selected dramas that they're willing to watch and has nothing to do with him.

So the father has something to do with qy's mother's death, but his words almost made you believe he truly love her and was only cast her out of the xie's family to protect her, if qy didn't witness him being the last person with her mother she probably would've been deceive by him. He's a veteran at being two face.

Yes she did help the older sister, but not without a motive behind it in order to get 1st sister's mother to reveal about what happened to her mother when she was cast out from the xie household.

The marquist who play the sml's father was also xukai's father in court lady, he's funny just like his character in court lady who was afraid of his wife, he must be specializes in playing these type of character.

Qy's father is a piece of work, he's so creepy, he has so many faces around different people, he acted so self-righteous in front of yr as a suffering father who has an ill behave son, he pretty much asking his son to admit to the crime when yr is saying he believe he's innocent and even ask for his son to be whip. He should get a father of the year award the way he talk to qy about her mother like she's the love of his life and then said she's his only wife even qy knowing what she knew about him couldn't see through his lies. This is the first time qy break down and cry after confronting her father, before she has always been suppressing her emotion not showing her true feeling and only able to be herself when she's around her grandmother or yr, but after seeing how good an actor that father was, she couldn't stop herself but releasing her emotion. We now know qy revenge is wanting anyone who made her mother suffer to pay the price, she want them to be in ruin and killing them would be too easy for them, this kind of revenge is going after the perpetrators' main weakness, what they care for the most in this case would be their family name. The people in the xie household will protect their family name by any means so blackening the family name would cause them much suffering at least in the case of the grandmother and father.
