From watching the latest ep, we can see the relationship between yr and qy has change, she finally stop putting her guard up around him. That scene when she put her head on his shoulder in that village show how close they've gotten. She doesn't recognizes him as her childhood friend but she has finally admitted her feeling to him so her feeling does not develop from their childhood connection. Shenrun on the other hand has already recognizes her as his childhood friend from that coin she hold, i wonder if he knew even earlier that's why he was willing to help her in the beginning?

I'm surprise some people don't like the insert songs, are the music that loud because my only complain is when the dialogues are translate together with the songs so they can be a distraction. Either play it as just music or not translate it would've been better, but i can understand some people don't like music playing in drama because silence can be just as effective, although i believe music can also heighten the emotional scenes or a particularly heavy scenes but it does not have to play constantly.

That what i thought to, he might've been trying to kill yr and that wei guy regardless of his daughter being caught in the crossfire.

Love ep 16, qy finally corner 2nd madam with the help of her first son and got justice for her mother. Why do i feel like this family don't want the truth to come out but rather to bury it to protect their family name. If yr wasn't a witness to this family drama, they might've done just that. I'm loving the brother and sister bond qy and her older brother has between them, even if his mother has wrong her mother, she didn't hold a grudge against him. That dialogue between them when he told her to smile more, this is the first ep we see qy smile so much, i suppose after clearing her mother's name some of her burden has been lifted so she's not as gloomy as before, and she does listen to her older brother and enjoy life as she should be rather than being bury in revenge. Granted her revenge against her father is not finish as she said she wants to brings down the family name her father spend years to protect even sacrifice her own mother. Not all people in the xie family are bad, the ones we don't know is the grand mother and the first madam if they're also hiding secrets, the father is already known to be the bad guy by his association with that official that yr and his brother are hunting. The 2nd madam has been punished but she gotten off easy, i believe her when she said she didn't plan to kill anyone, so that means someone else also has a hand in the murder of 5th concubine 🤔

Who was the father aiming that arrow for, was he trying to kill yr or the man threatening his daughter, or is he truly don't care about his daughter's life i can't tell 🤔

Madam pei is she the mother of Mr. Pei, the one who like 1st sister. What a nice lady, why do i feel like nice people died faster in this drama, she appear in just 1 ep. Rip 🙏 Qy finally found the maidservant who frame her mother, now she can clear her mother's name. This is the 1st ep i feel the story is moving a bit fast, they both jump into the water, got rescue and stayed in that village for half a month and came back before the ep ended 😅

Can i ask how many have finish watching this drama, i'm asking because i have not finish watching and i'm seeing such a drop in rating from 8.4 to 8.1 that is a big drop in just one or 2 days. Have everyone already finish watching it? I never seen a drama rating went down that fast even when the comments were negative in the last few eps because my take most cdramas don't end well , but their ratings only go down by 1 point or so i wonder how many are real watchers and how many are haters of the ml or the fl lmao 😂

I saw it, they were saying they count the last 5 eps screentimes of the leads. It looks like the rumor about them not having enough fund to finish filming the drama might have some truth to it because i remember when it was first announce the number of eps were higher but it got cut down to only 30 eps.

Same my pov every xukai drama should add .5 to the rating because haters already did their dirty work on the first day of viewing lmao 😂

I can't believe you calling him a lovable villain, with how he made his daughter going out at night asking for help while sitting comfortably in his home i can't associate him as anything but despicable.

Not really, douban has loads of haters so the rating for drama in this genre is actually normal, even drama with good rating on mdl has bad rating on douban. It doesn't mean drama is bad per se, like for example all those xanxia dramas that got high rating on mdl only gotten over 5.0 rating i believe, same with most historical dramas.

I'm not sure why you're complaining, what is wrong with his role even if it has less screentimes like some people are saying he still nail his role and get people discussing about his character. A good actor can bring out their character even with limited screentimes, don't forget xukai gotten his popularity from story of yanxi palace with his character fuca fuheng when his character went missing in most of the eps and his sister the queen gotten even less screentimes but they became the most favorites in that drama go figure. I feel for zhouye if it's true she got more screentimes, but she also gotten lots of criticism in this drama is it deserve, can someone tell me how is she compare to her character in the novel, if she's playing how the character suppose to be in novel, if her character fail to be convincing then the director is to blame for not catching it.

Don't listen to those comments, i feel xukai have good screentimes from the eps i'm watching, and his character in this drama is really cool, it would be a shame to skip the drama just because of some bad comments. You can check a few eps to see if it's something you like.

While the drama was filming last year there was a rumor xukai fight scenes were cut, i'm happy we got xukai's fight scenes intact because he nail them ^^

In chinese society many practice buddism and believe in fate and heaven's will. It just means whatever happens already happens so makes the most of it. Since he has already marry her, he can't change the outcome. And he married someone he knew from childhood and is in love with him, not many as lucky and has to marry strangers to form alliances. Who knows if he accept that marriage, he could be a good influence on that girl, she could change for the better being away from her family. I think this is all because she was spoil rotten by her family.

That official was listening in on yr and his brother's conversation and he heard the brother calling yr shenrun so now he knows who he's. He also saw how much he cares for qy, so that is why i saw in the spoiler that guy was threatening sr and taking qy as his hostage.

That jade pendant has such power and yr gave it to qy shows how much he cares for her, and she just gave it away like it was nothing to her sister. Thanks goodness it came back to her otherwise she would've really regretted losing such a powerful symbol. It's understandable why he got so angry when he saw it was with her sister.

I hope the older brother is alright, he and the 1st sister are the only children in that family who truly treat her as sibling, that whole family only know how to use her for their own gain, not caring about her safety by sending her out in the middle of the night when there're unrest and she could be in danger. All they care about is their own safety.
