This is a good palace drama. Every episode has tons of intriguing plots that keep you interest and engage. I rewatched the episodes that came out during the week in order to wait for next eps, it's so good. ^^

I like her in this type of role like in this drama and arsenal military academy. She was boring in dance of the sky empire when she played a serious character, she is more fitting to the fun and mischievous type of character.

I feel the drama did a good job in selecting actors and actresses, they all feel very real in their portrayal. Do you have a link for the novel in case i decide to read it .

The court politics are taking over this drama. I'm liking what i've seen so far. The king and queen, the crown prince, prince zhou , princess xin nan, etc all have distinct personalities. Poor chu mu his brother is getting much more personal times with the princess than he does with furou lol ^^ Crown prince friendship with a commoner and neglecting his wife as a result making her jealous, is sad what happen to chen ji, their relationship is much more than it let on in my opinion.

Oh so the novel has been completed. I was under the impression it hasn't been so the ending could be a tragedy. I'm patience no worry there, i'm the type of person who go back to watch after finishing the latest eps so i didn't miss the plot. I watch story of yanxi palace and romance is not a big part of that drama either. For me there has to be more than the romance for me to get immerse in the story, and this show has many interesting characters to like, and they seem like real historical figures. I was just concern about xukai screen time being cut. I'm really interest in the history of this period though, so i'll stick it out. As many as 6 couples, i can guess who they're...

Really, did u read the novel? I'm liking this show but i'm still not catch up on the latest eps, so hearing he will not have much screen time make me curious. Glad to hear they will give the main leads more screen time ^^

Yeah you are right, i just have to comment to that person review saying people are annoy with prince zhou just because he's not ml, totally not ok whether you are ml or not, that is how i see it.

Someone did a review recently, and compare xukai character to prince zhou. I'll said this using your power to manipulate someone to do something you want that is despicable. Don't make that comparison again. I hated the king in yanxi palace who separated xukai character and the fl in that drama, and he was ml there. Sheng chu mu actually try to change himself for the fl, he might be a bad boy, but he has lots of respect for furou, and he never force her to do anything she didn't want. The only time i see him force a kiss on her was when she was going to the palace and he was afraid she will forget him. The prince thinks he has authority so he threatens her with other people lives, as well just take things that was not his to take. Sure he has help her a few times, but he has gotten her in trouble as well. The reason many people call him annoying is sheng chu mu and furou are an establish couple, and the guy knew it too, why not find some other girl to his liking, but keep pushing his attention on someone who does not welcome it.
I love xukai, and want him to play challenging role as well, i don't think he is similar to his character in arsenal military academy. In there he is a carefree, and more cool boy, and less comedic, and it was the fl that accepted his character as who he is. He didn't change himself for the fl, but he did mature after one of his friend died, that is totally different from sheng chu mu. Both of them are similar in that they're born into privilege so they're both spoil and can be a bit childish.
