Prince zhou is such a busybody, it's obviously to anyone he want to get in between and separate them. Who in their right mind make a bet with a guy who likes you about the guy you love, and then left the palace with him to confront your guy. The misunderstanding continues on. When chumu told her he won't wait for her any longer, she should have explain to him, but no she is too prideful so she left with prince zhou. The problem i think she is too use to him chasing after her, she doesn't understand the more time they're apart, the more uncertain and insecure he is. All is take is for her to reassure him about her own feeling for him.

I don't blame him. How many times has he seen furou with the third prince already. He caught her lying to him about zifang her childhood sweetheart and he forgave her for it. Then she left with the third prince breaking her promise to him creating that misunderstanding. No matter how much he trusts her, she should draw a line with her other suitors but i don't see her doing that with the third prince, and that what happens no matter how much someone loves you, there is a limit to their tolerance. She told zifang to value the one who loves her otherwise he will regrets it, but she is not taking her own advice.

This was cut down from a 69 eps to a 55 eps, so just imagine what have been cut out. I really like this drama so far, i haven't catch up with the recent eps, so i don't know how much more heartbreaking it will be. I just hope my favorite couples will have a good ending :(

I understood him though, he pours so much of his feeling and told her to wait for him. She left without a word and with his love rival no less, that scene of him watching her smile at lord Zhou is heartbreaking , now he's thinking she chooses to work in the palace rather than live with him. It's all a misunderstanding, if only they have a chance to talk it out, but he's ignoring her now and not give her a chance to explain herself.

I'm starting not liking the crown prince, he's being so petty. The way i see it he's doubting people who truly care about him, like his own brother while trusting those who only want to use him like lord liang and duke cai. The two princes both name zhao are confusing, and both even share the same advisor. That advisor is so wise even furou admired him, his death is such a loss. That prince zhou is so foolish, he actually started a rebellion over such a minor trouble. Chumu and furou misunderstanding continue, i really hope for them to reunite, just don't make it too long, it's heartbreaking seeing furou crying over chumu abandoning her.

I'm not caught up yet, i'm still at ep 32; i'm waiting for more eps to come out so i don't have wait for so long for the next eps.

Both furou and chumu are separated due to a misunderstanding. I hope their separation is only temporary, chumu is so angry now and think furou doesn't care about him. Prince zhou is actually happy about this situation that he is cause. Zifang seems to be finally over furou hopefully, but too bad ying ying is going to marry someone else to save her father and brother. The sheng third son is just as good at flirting as his older brothers, all three of them really dserve their reputation ^^

I think it's a well written drama so far, it has well written characters even if you don't like them. It also develop their stories linearly so everything is easy to understand. The royal families are likable except lord liang and the grand emperor whom i don't like for bullying furou and the queen and for spoiling his son to an unbearable level. There are many couples to like even if the main couple don't have much interaction, when they do they're so adorable together.

On youtube. It started on ep 27. I love the ending so much that i kept replaying the ending after the episode.

Loving the new ending ost, both of ending osts give a pov of ml and his feeling toward fl. Both has a sad undertone to it like the character development of the ml as he try to gains fl's love.

I do think the hardship they experience are the kind young lovers do, he has to wait for her while knowing there are other guys interested in her, as we can see his uncertainty and insecurity about her feeling for him. His impatience when he finally has a chance to be with her, his disappointment when she left him without a word, making him feel she chose prince zhou over him. I feel his character will has some more growth due to this incident. I'm looking forward to his maturity while they're apart. Who are the side couples you like? Also what make you think he could marry her anytime, she is working for the queen now, so it will be even more difficult to get the queen to agree to their marriage since the queen thinks furou is her good luck charm she will want her to stay by her side until her death probably.

This is a period in history where i'm interested in very much. I've seen a drama that depics the dynasty before this one, and one of the main character is this king, he was depicts as having a gentle disposition and being one of the smartest guy in that drama. I also heard this king has a reputation of being one of the most beloved king in chinese history. In this drama his subordinates are loyal to him, so we don't see much of infighting, just hidden agenda of wanting to get better connection to the royal family. The king also rumors to truly loves his wife, so even the harem life is peaceful, there is no infighting in that either. This is a period of peace and prosperity, i don't know whether it will change in the latter eps.

What you wrote is what i like about her character, she's written as a normal girl who has fallen in love for the first time. She was force to leave her family and the one she love not of her own will, so tell me why would she want to work in the palace with all the machination, where status is everything and every wrong move could get you killed. She is just a court lady, but she is also very smart and know what to said and not to said to not offense those who are in power. I actually don't think people automatically turns good, maybe you watched too many dramas that depicts people are just inherently evil, i on the other hand see the opposite if you treat someone well, then you might get their good wills in return. She was able to make friends and turn the situation to her favor because ultimately she only has good intention. Why would you make enemy of someone for no reason if you can turn them to your ally. People in this drama are ultimately good people, only a few who we consider are bad but they also have their reason for being that way. I don't think furou could turn anyone she met into a good person like lord liang for example, the guy is a waste of space and she helped save his life, but instead of being grateful he thinks it was alright for him to take the last medicine from her like it was his right. You're right it just not your cup of tea, i refer this type of politic where everything is hidden over the harem life in yanxi palace.

Me too, he fell into a trap made by his father's enemy so easily could've been avoided if he was smarter.
