Well PE delayed more too. They promised for an October launch back in 2022, saying it was their special drama to commemorate Prosecutor's Day but look at when its airing haha. Compared to that, LOA never promised or announced anything but taking its sweet time haha.

The Long Ballad & Eternal Love of Dream, her two big hit costume dramas of 2020 & 2021 are produced by Tencent. But yeah Tencent produced more modern dramas of Dilraba than costumes (e.g. You are my glory, Prosecution elite, Sword Rose, Sweet dreams).

Douban & MDL ratings don't really have to match, I get that, the standards are different for raters, also when MDL may be biased towards romance dramas, douban is biased against romance dramas & towards non-romance ones, & dramas starring traffic actors, treating all romance as idol shows. So douban rating also doesn't really sit right with me. I get that shows & series of genres of romance, fantasy & historical/modern with intriguing plot points have more entertaining value, with incorporated lessons & messages too because TV shows are mainly for refreshment, entertainment with values & intrigues, to take stress away or give happiness or adrenaline rush. But people coming to rate this kind of shows are supposed to be those who generally watch this sort of genre so from that perspective, the rating is just ridiculous.

Not really. She has 5 dramas produced by Youku & 6 by Tencent. The rest are Hunan TV, ZJTV etc

TV broadcasting reaches far & beyond, as they air in platforms along with TV channels. More exposure to widespread audience of all categories, not just restricted to the internet medium. TV broadcasting also garners the awards specific to that channel, I'm guessing. All in all, TV broadcasting still holds a level of prestige & high regard for dramas apart from anticipation, which doesn't matter to us since we watch online anyways, but I guess, it matters to the production and also to the actors to gain stronger recognition & accolades.

I want nothing less of intelligent, cool, strategic, tactical, tough Deng Yan in mind-blowing action scenes, because robbing Dilraba off the chance to showcase her insane brilliance in action scenes will be the biggest crime in history. Nobody on earth would be able to resist a drop-dead-gorgeous beauty with brains in terrific action scenes, I know this for a fact.

Exactly the scenario that I thought up the moment Yoon Seojung appeared in front of Doldam & not Trauma center. It'll be an epic showdown:
Kim Sabu + Yoon Seojung (Team Doldam) vs Kang Dongju+ Seo Woojin + Cha Eunjae (Team Trauma center)

An Ni, as a character has really won my heart since the beginning. She's totally my type of character, the ones that I gravitate towards. Dilraba portraying An Ni is a game changer. Brilliant performance, just blazing in new flames of brilliance in each roles, distinctly. My second favorite character is Han Xuan, I knew I'd like him when the teasers & posters came out prior to the drama.

Xiao Muen, this dude has been giving me the creeps since day 0. Qin Tianxin is pretty interesting as a villain.

I had simply no doubt Dilraba will bring forth another stunner as An Ni, what I was doubtful of though, was whether the script, direction, execution & the essence of crime thrillers would manifest at their best in this being a chinese crime drama, with records of probably not being as intriguing as korean ones. But even after watching a whole lot of others, I think PE is a good job done. It's also a pleasure to know its reached its goal & is serving the whole purpose of the work, that is propagating consciousness through an educational show, maintaining the essence of suspense, thrill, intrigue. I absolutely did not want any romance in this, more like I'm being happier as An Ni is blocking all romantic advances from dudes, being the workaholic cool prosecutor she is.

I know the feels...sighs. We're almost there, we've waited for too long already to lose patience for just a month or two. Let's keep our cool & wait for an explosively smashing hit in summer.

I've seen so many cheap dramas with red flags & toxicity & nonsense being rated higher in MDL. PE isn't the best of the best or anything but it doesn't deserve anything less than at least 8 in MDL standard, even considering the majority , including myself in MDL gravitate towards the more entertaining & hyped genres like wuxia,xianxia,romance.

Can't believe I'm so happy T_T

Well, TLOA was rumored for July, the peak summer slot, in the first place. Also, TTEOM also finished later than LOA, but aired first, so HL is no surprise at this point, plus HL is a web series, the review process is faster & hassle free, unlike LOA, which is aiming to secure a TV broadcast, I guess (if that makes the delay any sense). The fact that HL is airing now makes the probability of LOA arriving right after it stronger.

Please don't curse Youku to go bankrupt or get arrested before LOA finishes airing at least, I'll go insane if it gets shelved for eternity due to Youku going bankrupt!
