YunHe never betrayed ChangYi though, it was always only her scheming to save him once & for all & free him, even at the cost of her demise, similar to what Tian Yao did. Its just that her character is very layered & complex, contrary to the usual one-dimesional female heroines of xianxias, her character is the type usually written for male leads. Well drama did change some incidents but the end result remained the same as the novel.

I recommend you both as I've enjoyed both but The Legends had horrible editing issue, even though the story in general was good. The Blue Whisper isn't only focused on Allen's character, there are many things you might come to enjoy. Give it a try. His acting is great. Also the best thing about the drama is the female lead character Ji Yun He (played by Dilraba with excellence), her character, charisma, intelligence & awakening of her power & also vulnerability, her eternal desire for freedom, aside from her beautiful love story with the merman, beautiful friendships with girl characters, group fights, power couple fight etc among other things. Tbh the biggest issue was the screen time of support cast coming off as unnecessarily more than the mains, but it'll be okay if you enjoy, I guess.

Novel, being so sober had at least 5, so idk why drama won't have any even though its added more romance specially when both are great at doing such scenes. I've also seen people talk that they have read leaked scripts or something.

Hopefully, she'll pull an impressive act in LYST, haven't watched any dramas of the ML either, but I'm willing to be pleasantly surprised positively by them. I agree about Yan Hui, Tian Yao & DFQC. All are top-tier.

Well, I'll say the competition of the heroine from Love you seven times will be with Xiao Lanhua's position at best, don't know about the ML, probably he'll compete with the 3rd position too. Because you know the top positions are pretty much unshakable haha.

Her throne cannot be conquered. Her crown remains undisturbed. And Yan Hui became so special, never imagined I'd love anyone so much again, I'd rank her together with Yun He but Yun He deserves the crown alone. I just love how JLFX adaptations gave us such awesome heroines :')

Yeah Yan Hui is new favorite after Ji Yun He in The Blue Whisper. If you haven't watched her, I recommend strongly.
