Does anyone know who the screenwriter is for this drama?
Still an unconfirmed mystery. Somewhere I read, its a group of newbie writers, elsewhere in baidu, the novel's author is listed as the screenwriter. I'd like to know who's the real screenwriter too.
What's the issue about renaming? I don't quite understand, and I didn't even know that it has been under 2nd trial…
Yeah, I've been coming across vague posts about LOA undergoing 2nd trial & getting renamed or something. I don't know what's up with them anymore. Maybe they're just trying to create buzz & attention, who knows.

Eh, I doubt any actor could've dominated the screen as Ashile Sun, other than Wu Lei, after having seen him perform haha. For me, I'm glad the actor changed last minute, because Wu Lei leaves no room for considering others in that role anymore just like Dilraba for Li ChangGe!

Even with the massive black marketing aimed against The Long Ballad, it became a critically acclaimed, explosive hit, both in China & more so internationally. The Douban ratings have never been fair for traffic stars, specially Dilraba, the comments themselves bear testimony to the fact that they are all nonsense, just trying to bring it down. Yes, with positive marketing, it would've garnered a bigger slot but well, it remains one of the best period pieces till date, even with all the controversies taken into account. Hopefully it'll get more & more recognition as it deserves & soar higher. Dilraba mentions Li ChangGe in almost all her interviews, its a role she found her growth through & holds the dearest.
Maybe Tencent didn't promote TLB as much as it did with other dramas under their belt, rather attempted black marketing, but diamond will shine even in the mud, it received the Golden Angel award as the best drama of 2021, Dilraba got the Outstanding Young Actress award for her excellent performance as Li ChangGe (Wu Lei should've gotten the Outstanding Young Actor award for his unforgettably awesome performance for his performance as Ashile Sun, but very sadly he didn't but he reached his massive transformation with this role & left impression in people who never watched him before as a child star). TLB also received the Zhejiang TV award, a year after. TLB is the first & the only Chinese historical series to be broadcasted by Arabian platform aside from all the other international platforms it dominated.
I believe, TLB is capable of soaring even higher as it remains engraved in the hearts of many but it did receive its share of recognition, it managed to turn the tables around & landed a slap in the faces of haters.

Yeah same here. I want it to come out before all the others do. I've also come across buzzes about LOA attempting to secure simultaneous TV broadcast. I always had a feeling since the beginning that they might aim for a web+TV broadcast. The plot is also great for TV. Only web broadcasting doesn't usually take such a long time, I think. Look at TTEOM, how fast it arrived.

Highly unlikely. Iqiyi has Story of Kunning Palace, The Ingenious Ones, etc that finished way before Foxspirit. Both of the dramas of Gong Jun are from Iqiyi, so there's no chance of them airing together. At best they can air back to back.

If PE airs in april, then LOA in summer sounds like a good flow. There will be a considerable gap, so it should be fine. Tencent has also been clowning PE, so can't be sure here either.

Well youku has been clowning back from the brink since day 1, it should've been aired long ago, compared to that LOA suffered nothing, I guess. But summer slot is usually for big dramas, I read. If they aren't keeping TTEOM for summer, it should definitely be for LOA. Not to mention, Youku will surely release LOA to fight against TLP, SOKP, LYF, etc.
