I just heard of a real person called Jesse Livermore, a NY stock trader who came from poverty and became mega-rich but could never stay wealthy, flip flopping from the extremes until his suicide after his 5th bankruptcy.
Reminded me immediately of this drama. The ML is just driven by seeking the next thing, the next thing, it's a mindset, and it's not always solely about the money. The people around him want him to stop when the going is good, but he can't help it. He can't stop.
I don't remember the details of the plot. I just remember this character.
Finally finished this after forever. One question remains or maybe I wasn't paying attention: so why did Kang-ju fail to call in the 8 years after college? Was there a valid reason beyond being fickle?
It wasn't worth waiting for, probably better binge-watched. Glad they didn't try to make it more than12 eps. I did enjoy it though, mostly for ML. He is a good looking puppy 😂 FL is good looking too, but I didn't like how she treated her brother.
I only realized yesterday while watching this on Netflix that the subs are horrendous. I don't pay attention to…
Several obvious relationship errors. Introduction to Qiong Nu was subbed as betrothed to uncle, but actually they meant brother (-in law of Fan). Or mistaking Mother-in-law for Grandmother, Elder as 'Old woman' 😬 as if the domestic help would refer to the boss as 'Old woman' 😆.
As an avid WTPR fan I am getting more and more disappointed about the silence from the Korean entertainment. People…
The production team apologised for the finger in ep1 so that people would continue watching. Complaints about ep12 are after the airing period. They've clocked out.
Thanks for the article. I've already seen many of these but the Longest day in Chang An stood out as something to check out. It's not easy giving recommendations, and honestly some readers can be so rude. Hope it doesn't deter you from writing.

But I like your break down of the situation.
Hope you're enjoying the show 👍

Sorry, lots of titles I've not watched/dropped.

Fair point regarding critique/criticism. The cynicism was from the FL's initial character rather than the drama as a whole.
And that Rio drink looks radioactive 🤢
What's this? Mini drama? Just a promo?
