I love that this drama finally, FINALLY played out, how I think public marriage proposals and grand gestures should…
I like your assessment. And now that it's complete we can finally conclude the whole reason they split 8 years ago was because he felt pressured to present her with a grand gesture. Simply saying yes felt too ordinary.
Netflix version has cut an important musical scene. Now I'm thinking back, think other parts were edited out too. Overall was an ok speed/skip watch but I don't like it enough to write a review. A lot of back and forth. Loved the children.
So much happened in first 15 eps I wondered how there was still 37 eps left. Then at every junction since, I'm wondering, how is there still x eps left? I'm at 47 and still thinking how is there 5 eps left?
Sorry about that. I tried my best to mention most of the popular dramas, but it's hard to cover everything without…
No need to apologise, it was an interesting and well researched articleπ. It must have been the unusual fact that Kangβxi weifu sifang ji had 4 seasons that made it feel like he was in everything π π
Great read. I was surprised that Zhang Guo Li didn't feature in the Emperor Drama section. At the turn of the millennium, it seemed (to me) like everything coming from China had him in it π
If anyone wants to read about why I think this is an existential masterpiece, then I just wrote a thing πππhttps://crabbyfordramas.wordpress.com/2022/05/14/the-existential-brilliance-of-extraordinary-you/
I admire your ability to articulate such dizzying concepts into such a neat article. Brilliant read.
I particularly liked the idea of Haru being at the top of Sisyphus's hill. How romantic. Torturous. But romantic.
Great article, very informative. I have limited experiences of hospitals and I am grateful for that.
I really enjoy the cellular memory plot device because it's fantasy, so anything goes, reality is not essential to me in these stories, it's in the same category as body/soul swapping.
For the"realistic" dramas, like another commenter has mentioned, I get less annoyed by and unaware of procedural inaccuracies (the need to see oppa's beautiful face is greater than his character's need for oxygen) but question ethical issues, particularly surrounding (the lack of) security of personal information. Surely you cannot know who are donors and who are recipients? π€·π»ββοΈ
