I got confused by this, if you never finished it that means you have read a good portion of it already but at…
It would be more accurate to say I didn't continue the webtoon.
And the drama *is* to my liking to an extent but it's also so messy and seems like the writer just picked random ideas and tropes to include in this that it barely makes for an understandable story.
Geez, this show is like a fever dream. I wasn't interested in the webtoon which is why I never finished it but now I'm tempted to read it just to see a coherent story play out. I assume the webtoon makes sense
I'm sorry but Ak Hee calling being compared to the shaman insulting, Kyera saying he has a modest body, and his reaction to that whole conversation made me chuckle alot haha
When I first made an account for this site and made posts that got replied to, when I went to the notifications, nothing would show up. I thought there was a glitch or something cause it would never show whatever was mentioned, multiple times.
I *JUST* learned/realized there's folks here who comment, which can include backhanded comments, and then delete their posts as if none of ever happened.
I'm gonna be sad/disappointed if Hyun is really out for a long period of time but I do like the idea of Ak Hee actually trying to do a good job in his stead.
I've said it before: they could be an awesome team if they just worked together.
I wonder why KBS as well as the other platforms don't have more engagement for this. I think I only saw 1, maybe 2, making of/behind the scenes. I saw one video of Jihoon & Yeji playing games.
Only recently did Viki & Wave post those short videos which was just like 2 minutes or less.
Is it because it's performing badly?
But still, if they have the videos, why not show them anyway?
I've said this before but I just like Hyun more and more. It's usually more after reflecting on the episodes but I think Park Jihoon is doing a good job playing both characters but specifically with Hyun, since Hyun has to start off so reserved and insecure then has to show different aspects of growth, confidence, and vulnerability as Hyun becomes king.
I don't know how true it is that Jihoon is really different from Hyun but if that's really the case, I admire/respect that more because that's really acting & becoming someone different.
While I don't think he's showing masterclass level acting, I like seeing his growth as an actor and seeing his potential.
I think because of the directing. I heard, the director offered him the role after seeing him in Weak Hero as…
Oh was he scouted because of WHC1?! I can see that! haha I can see the difference between Sajo Hyun and Yeon Sieun too though I wouldn't phrase it the same way haha
Oh I feel so bad for Hyun. I wish I could just fast forward to the end of the series when the grand prince is defeated because seeing him win sucks so much
I think Hyun and Yeon Wol fell in love awfully fast. I was okay with the falling for each other/liking each other but the full on "I love you" exchange is just too fast for me
Ah, this show I feel bad for Hyun. The quickest and most efficient way of getting his court in order is to just kill the grand prince and his supporters and exiling the rest but alas the show needs to happen so we're treated to this ridiculousness.
But seriously, every time soldiers or other members of the court disregard Hyun or make him have to repeat himself in favor of looking for the grand prince's approval, I feel like pulling my hair in frustration.
I wish people wrote in depth recaps

Why do I always have to feel bad for them?!

Why?
Is it a moderator thing?

Sometimes it felt like the show was reacting to audience reception which made me wonder but I guess it was just all part of the plan haha

I mean how many ways can a quiet, stoic, and reserved character be played?
Still, I think Hyun is even more stoic and reserved because he's also traumatized and ostracized.
Sieun, on the hand, he just seemed uninterested, resigned, and focused.
She's not the worst actress in the history of korean actresses.
This drama isn't "saved" by Jihoon's acting either.
This drama is probably considered low stakes so why not try it. It is a learning experience for both lead actors.
