I just don't understand why no news about it. Even if it won't release until June or later, at least give *something* so the folks who are waiting for it don't think it got shelved.
Then again, maybe this is the norm and the only reason it's so irritating is because I am actually looking forward to it.
Like did they immediately give an approximate release date after Squid Game 2 wrapped filming? How soon before Dec did they start promotions? I know Weak Hero is nowhere near on par with Squid Game but I don't have any other shows to compare it too
I guess DP2 might be a comparison but I sincerely don't wanna jinx WHC2 of being anything like DP2 .
Netflix is all about Squid Game and while I get it, I'm more like can I get some information about Weak Hero Class 2?! Even a guessitmate on when it will air. Give me something to look forward to
Joonie has had this role down since he was a baby. That face/the innocent eyes/that pout/ make him a poster child…
You just described typecasting. And being typecast at a young age doesn't make it any better because *maybe* *someday* they will get an opportunity to do something different.
Lee Joon Gi didn't want to be typecast as pretty boy/ androgenous roles so he took on physical roles. Then he was typecast for the physical roles and doesn't do much romance. He doesn't even get those types of scripts. He's been in the industry like 20 years.
It was slow getting into this. I found the characters unlikable (except for the captain) but I still binged all the available episodes and it's growing on me a little. I laughed and kept replaying when the captain copied her smile in the picture.
I also like how some things are visualized such the captain's deductions.
I’m not even 1/10th as excited for this as I was a year ago lol
Same but I was also thinking maybe that's a good thing because it lowers anticipation and expectation. Might make it easier to view on its own rather than comparing to WHC1.
Badass husband & wife working together? Villian hoisted by their own petard? Subverted gender roles? Older actors getting to do action roles and it's not totally cringe?
It was hard to get past the first 10 minutes of episode 1 for me and then I fell asleep during episode 2.
I don't know how to judge this. I liked the way it was filmed kinda like a movie. I don't know technical terms but like a steadicam? Is that right? Or maybe handheld? I don't know but somehow it seemed like a movie vs a drama. I thought it definitely had dark comedy moments.
But overall, it wasn't particularly impressive or entertaining for me
This is an excellent point.People are forced to conform to peer pressure and public sentiment in order to survive…
Oh ratings, I go by what I feel and/or what I think the overall quality was.
For me, while I don't think I had any expectations, if I did, it exceeded them haha. Because I liked it more than the Dude in Me and I actually liked the quality of the drama (such as developmemt and cast dynamics) So that would already bring it to an 8. The .5 comes from how it made me feel. It made me laugh or smile or was surprised. I was genuinely surprised by the ending and I had been concerned about it going into it.
Lol, i noticed this too. It is like some are afraid to say they enjoyed it without the BL element or afraid to…
Maybe, maybe not. We shall never know because the discourse over this will always be apart of the conversation unless a person goes into completely blind (which is unlikely)
You're no different from the actor randomly thinking it would be released in January.

Gyu Hyun of No Gain No Love is different from Kang Ha Jun of The Boss' Menu
Yeo Ha Jun (NGNL) is also different Kang Ha Jun (TBM).

Gimme that! All that!
It's also something that this entire series is supposed to take place in 2 weeks (aside from the flashbacks and the end)
But then how did he annouce he had a wife and son?
