Oof there's a lot but the biggest change is Ming Ye. In the novel, he's cold and indifferent to Sang Jiu and that in turn makes his servants treat her badly. He doesn't fall in love with her until she saves his life and cures his eyes in the hut in the bamboo forest. Drama Ming Ye is softer and has been in love with her since the moment he saw her. Then there's the introduction of the 12 gods. They were only mentioned in passing in the novel so it was really cool to see them fight in the drama. There was no wedding in the novel. This was another thing mentioned in passing there. Lastly, how the Heart Guarding Scale came into existence. In the novel, it came from Susu's real dad but in the novel it was from Ming Ye's own scale instead.

These are some of the changes I've noticed in the drama so far. ^^

Having read the novel, I was already expecting to cry in the Dream Arc but I wasn't expecting to cry THIS hard omg. The changes they made to the story: Ming Ye loving Sang Jiu from the beginning, the fluff scenes between the two of them, even the war between gods and demons, and the gods' ultimate sacrifice. The perfect balance between fluff and angst, makes the truly angsty scenes hurt 100000x more. I was NOT prepared. And I don't think I ever will be. 😭

Hahaha yeees! He is very jelly. The Tiger Demon is big and buff in human form while he is lean and skinny so he was scared Ye Xi Wu/Susu was into that. xD

BAHAHA he's waaay more ruthless in the novel for sure. Even his own pet isn't safe. He even threatened to have his fur removed and made into a tiger fur coat. xD

No we don't. In the novel he doesn't talk to crows or any other animal. He just controls them. The only creature who has a human form is the Tiger Demon. ^^

What's funny is he even gets jealous of him because he sees him talking to Susu one day. Then the Tiger Demon gets punished for it. xD

Oh did you mean the tower scene with both Xiwu and Bingchang held hostage? Yeah he chose Bingchang. But only because he thought wrong. ToT

Yes. I noticed in today's episode, they changed the part about the soup and how Tantai Minglang was "killed". But that's okay. It still works, plus there plenty more ways for Tantai Jin to showcase his ruthlessness. xD
