No sign of Curved Jade or Heavy Feather yet (except for the necklace Susu wears) so they'll probably reserve those two for the drama. I'm curious to see what the design for both will be though. They're pretty important to the story. I have to admit, I have a soft spot for Curved Jade. 😭💖

I don't think she will. But she'll be given more depth I think, which is good since she's pretty one dimensional in the novel and we don't really know her true motivations past the "I want everyone to love me" thing she had going on. It wasn't really explained why she was like that.

I noticed that only on my 3rd rewatch of the trailer. It's such a "blink and you'll miss it!" moment. And I agree. He put so much hope into that bracelet only for it to shatter before him. You can actually see his heart break in that split second scene. 😭

40 episodes in all with 55 minutes per episode. :)

Yes there are two, a happy end and a bad end.

HE - They both get married and they have a daughter named Tantai Zi Mi (affectionately called A Mi). And then they rule the Demon Realm together as Emperor and Empress and the demons and immortals are at peace with each other under their rule.

BE - TTJ sacrifices himself to save the world. Susu comes down to the mortal realm in what used to be the Zhou Kingdom and heads to the Imperial Tomb finding two tombstones carved with their names on them. Beside them is a jade box containing items he left for her, including a sword sheath that TTJ finished himself before he died. (Susu was supposed to finish it as a gift to him but something happened so she was unable to) She has a vision that shows he created the carving in the tombs himself and then used magic to create an illusion of her so it seemed like she was the one who gave him the sword sheath and they express their love to each other. The vision fades and Susu cries. And that's how it ends. The BE is super painful. 😭

I noticed a few of them here waaay way back when we got the first few stills and that was when LBFAD was still airing. (So they're probably buried down there lol). But it's good you don't see them. Peace of mind and all. 😂

Yep. It's tragic. I actually cried so hard reading that scene in the novel. It's unforgettable and stays with you for a long time. 😭💔

Oh it's a famous angsty scene where Susu jumps from the tower and "dies" and Tantai Jin holds her in his arms crying so hard, his hair turns white. It's the first time he's ever cried in his life and the first time he's ever truly felt PAIN. 😭

Yes! Mei Nv. She wasn't in the novel if I recall which means it's possible she'll still be in the Immortal Realm arc. I can definitely see her become a demon. Maybe she'll join the ranks of Devil God Tantai Jin and Si Ying?

This is a good point. Which means they'll change some stuff about the whole ambush thing too. I noticed Tantai Minghan (Eighth Prince) isn't listed in the cast which means a) he doesn't exist in the drama or b) his role is replaced by Tantai Minglang and Minglang lives longer than he did in the novel and will have more scenes. The same thing happened with Ye Chufeng. He's not in the drama but Ye Qing Yu is and even has a love line with Pian Ran. Lots of changes there so we have to see how everything plays out in the drama. ToT

Oh there are. Not just here but on Twitter too, though most of them get buried by the hype for the drama. Still, I really don't want to dwell on the negativity and just want to shower the drama with sml. :(

Lol right? Similar color schemes maybe. They both wear a lot of black. Still, DFQC is not even half as sadistic as TTJ. Not even close. And the story is definitely more complex, grittier and darker than LBFAD. Even the trailer itself speaks to how intense it is.

Hehe yep. The latest translated chapter is that. Tower jumping chapter is this week. Cang Jiumin will be present during the Immortal Realm Arc. He's gonna be a member of another sect. :)

Put what? The Soul Slaying Nails? It was supposed to kill him. There were 9 in all. But 3 shattered in the process because the Heart Protection scale protected him, so only 6 got nailed into his heart. So instead of killing him, he only experienced excruciating pain and Susu failed in her mission. But only at first because she found another solution. And that's what happens in the famous tower scene. ToT

Yep. I wondered too if it was Lulu at first but then I heard some parts that didn't really sound like her voice. owo

If I see anyone comparing this to LBFAD again, I'm going to block them on sight. THE TWO DRAMAS COULDN'T BE ANY MORE DIFFERENT. Watch it first before you spout nonsense! We don't need that kind of energy here. >:(

Lol aside from the demon king mls (and even then the mls are VASTLY different), I don't see the similarities AT ALL. xD

He is Tantai Jin 500 years later. After Susu exchanges his evil bones for a Divine Marrow, he starts cultivating as an immortal and it's how he meets Susu again. He'll appear much later in the story after the Ye Xiwu/Emperor Tantai Jin arc. :)
