My taste in fictional men might be... a tad questionable since I love both Tantai Jin and Li Chengyin (Goodbye My Princess). 🥴🥴🥴

Yes exactly! The changes are good because they fit the drama's plot but they still retained the important parts from the novel. It's wonderful to see! Plus it's good to be surprised every now and then. xD

HAHAHA. He's hilarious! I remembered all the times he cowered from fear because of Tantai Jin and I kinda feel bad for him. At the end, he's the one and true MVP though and that's what makes me love him even more. xD

Yep that's him! He's know as the stupid tiger in the novel cause he grovels at Tantai Jin a lot since he's terrified of him. He has a human form too but I'm not sure if we'll get that in the drama. Probably not. xD

We may not have gotten Curved Jade but I'm so happy we had Tiger Demon! I squealed when I saw him in episode 10. He's sweet and funny. xD

Despite my excitement for the drama early on, I still had an apprehension. I've had bad experiences with book-to-movie adaptations gone terribly wrong (Percy Jackson, Divergent *cough cough*). But just 5 min in the first episode and all that disappeared. It's a visual spectacle with engaging characters and a tight, well-written script. OMG the script. I couldn't praise it enough. It's faithful to the soul of the novel but also different enough that it's its own story. LOVED ALL THE CHANGES. AND I LOVE EVERYTHING IN THIS DRAMA. Take notes, THIS is how you do a great adaptation! <3

3rd cp - Also tragic but it's a one-sided love. Only the guy likes her. The girl couldn't care less about him.

But judging from the trailer, they made some changes so 2nd and 3rd cp may have more screen time and a different ending compared to the novel.

Me too! And I prefer the HE. The BE just absolutely crushed me. No one deserves that tragic of an ending. ToT There have been some photos of A Mi so I'm optimistic we'll get a HE. (The actress is so cuteee!)

LOTS OF ANGST. And I mean LOOOTS. Imagine the angstiest xianxia drama you know then multiply that by a thousand. Of the three cps, only one has a HE and that's the main cp. (But they also have a BE and we don't know which route the drama will take.)

Follows the usual three lives, three loves format and takes place in the mortal, immortal, demon and a dream realm.

Basically the daughter of the Hengyang Sect Leader, Li Susu travels back in time to stop the Devil God Tantai Jin from destroying the world. She inhabits the body of Ye Xi Wu who is married to the still mortal Tantai Jin who hasn't fully succumbed to his devil side yet. They fall in love and a lot of tragedy occurs after that.

Both of them died in the first lifetime. Xiao Lin first then Ye Bingchang. They have a tragic end. :(

I always rewatch every new trailer they release multiple times just to catch any tiny details I might've missed the first time and by gods, every new thing I catch fills me both with awe and sadness. I don't know how much they've changed from the novel but judging from what we've seen so far, they kept the essence of it at least and I couldn't be happier. I AM READY TO GET MY HEART BROKEN INTO A TINY, MILLION PIECES. 😭

Not sure which route they'll take in the drama but in the novel, the 2nd and 3rd cps don't get a happy ending. 3rd cp was even a one-sided love, with Pian Ran dying. So either the drama follows the story from the novel or they give the two other cps a happy end. ToT

Exactly! It wasn't just Susu's Divine Weapon/guide but also a treasured friend. Plus it genuinely cared for Susu and helped her as best as it can. And it was the medium to finally take out TTJ's evil bones. I'd be sad too if they cut out Curved Jade. ToT

Very important! I really hope they kept it. It provided some cuteness to the story as well. :(
